Falcons repeat same practice plan with key players
The Falcons won a hard fought game this last weekend, so it’s not a surprise to see the team take a cautious approach with injured players during practice this week. While Devonta Freeman and Mohamed Sanu both practiced in a limited fashion on Tuesday and Wednesday, Julio Jones took both days off to rest his ankle. All three players are expected to play this weekend, and we should see no signs of their names on the injury report by the end of the week.

The Jaguars and Blake Bortels got some much-welcomed news today as Marqise Lee was not on the injury report for the first time in over a month. Lee returned to football last week but was limited to just 59 percent of the snaps in the Wild Card round. Now fully healthy, he’ll likely trend towards his usual snap count which was at 80 percent through the first 14 games. Lack of playing time over the last month has reduced Lee’s price to $5,100 on DraftKings making him an intriguing GPP play this weekend.
Antonio Brown practiced in full on Wednesday
It looks like the Steelers will have all-pro wide receiver Antonio Brown at 100% for this weekend’s matchup vs the Jaguars. Lead by Jalen Ramsey, the Jaguars defense has been consistently one of the best past defenses this season. Brown has been the only receiver the Jaguars have allowed to go over 90 yards this season. In a week five matchup vs these two teams, Brown converted 19 targets into 10 catches for 157 yards.
Kyle Rudolph was able to practice in full on Wednesday
Rudolph spent the final few weeks of the season on the injury report as he continued to play through the pain associated with a bad ankle. Hopefully, the extra week of rest allowed Rudolph enough time to rest his ankle ahead of this week’s game vs the Saints. Rudolph caught three passes for twenty-six yards and a touchdown earlier this season when the Vikings played the Saints.
As reported by: Vikings Official Twitter PageDeMarco Murray ruled out Saturday
According to Cameron Wolfe, an ESPN reporter for the Titans, Titans running back DeMarco Murray will not play this Saturday vs the Patriots. During the last few weeks, Derrick Henry has dominated the touches in the Titans backfield. With 100 percent of running back touches, Henry ability to produce big plays helped the Titans secure a wild-card upset last weekend. The team will continue to use Henry vs the Patriots, but the combination of an elevated price tag and his lack of production in the passing game could make it very hard to roster Henry on DraftKings this weekend. Over the last two weeks, Henry has touched the ball 53 times producing 48.8 DK points.

Murray has not played in the last two games due to a significant knee injury. According to Cameron Wolfe, an ESPN reporter for the Titans, the team is getting close to ruling Murray out. During the last few weeks, Derrick Henry has dominated the touches in the Titans backfield. With 100 percent of running back touches, Henry ability to produce big plays helped the Titans secure a wild-card upset last weekend. The team will continue to start Henry even if Murray is healthy enough to play moving forward. Over the last two weeks, Henry has touched the ball 53 times producing 48.8 DK points.
As reported by: Cameron Wolfe TwitterRex Burkhead could be limited if he plays this week
According to Patriots beef writer Jeff Howe, Rex Burkhead looked very limited in practice today. The Patriots running back practiced with a brace on his knee and was very limited due to the restrictions of that brace. Howe seems to think that if Burkhead plays this week then he would be very limited. If Burkhead were to miss then we could potentially see another massive workload for Dion Lewis, as he dominated touches for this team over the last few weeks. The backfield situation for the Patriots is worth monitoring moving forward. James White should play this week, but Mike Gillislee missed practice yet again and is looking less likely to play this weekend.
As reported by: Jeff Howe Twitter Other tagged players: Mike GillisleeJames White limited on Tuesday
With both White and Burkhead listed as “limited” in practice on Tuesday, it appears that the Patriots are on track to have three healthy running backs this weekend. For the Patriots this is great news, as they could use all healthy bodies as they prepare for a chance to make a run at back to back championships. For DFS this is not an ideal situation as extra mouths to feed means we have less of an idea of who will get the touches. Dion Lewis has been an absolute monster over the last few weeks, but the addition of extra healthy bodies will more than likely cut into his touches.
Falcons choose to rest key skill players on Tuesday
The Falcons won a hard fought game this last weekend, so it’s not a surprise to see some key players end up on the Tuesday injury report. While Devonta Freeman and Mohamed Sanu both practiced in a limited fashion on Tuesday, Julio Jones took the day off to rest his ankle. All three players are expected to play this weekend, and we should see no signs of their names on the injury report by the end of the week.

Prior to a midseason injury, Chris Hogan was on absolute fire in the first part of the season. Through the first five games of the season, Hogan converted 23 receptions into 5 touchdowns. Injuries would force him to miss almost three months this season, but Hogan could provide a boost to this offense if he is, in fact, healthy this week. Hogan’s return could hurt the value of Brandin Cooks, as Brady has been known to spread the ball around throughout his career.
DeMarco Murray did not practice on Tuesday
Murray has not played in the last two games due to a significant knee injury. During that time Derrick Henry has dominated the touches in the Titans backfield.
As reported by: Cameron Wolfe Twitter Other tagged players: Derrick HenryJay Ajayi practices on Tuesday
As expected Ajayi is back at practice after resting the final week of the season. This mid-season acquisition slowly took a bigger role in the offense as he surpassed double-digit carries in his final three games of the season. With Nick Foles now leading the team, we could expect Ajayi and LeGarrette Blunt to see a bigger role moving forward. Foles has struggled to show any signs of real offensive significance, so the Eagles could look to try and win the game on the ground. At $4,600 on DraftKings Ajayi makes for an interesting salary relief option in order to roster higher priced studs this weekend.
Rex Burkhead practices on Tuesday but Mike Gillislee does not
Burkhead was able to practice last week and appears on track to play this weekend vs the Titans. With Burkhead back, Gillislee would most likely be a scratch even if healthy. The Patriots should employ a three-headed monster at running back this week. Burkhead, White, and Lewis should all see action in the running game.
Other tagged players: Mike GillisleeAntonio Brown back to practice on Monday
The return of Brown to the practice field is great news for the Steelers. Early reports coming out of Pitsburg indicate that Brown could have played in wildcard weekend if needed. The Steelers will have their hands full with the Jaguars this weekend, but Brown’s return the practice field is a great sign for the team, as they will need all weapons in order to beat a very good defensive team.
Derrick Henry expected to start even if Murray is healthy
Henry explosiveness helped the Titans secure a wildcard upset, and the team will continue to start him even if Murray is healthy enough to play moving forward. Over the last two weeks, Henry has touched the ball 53 times producing 48.8 DK points.
