He may be a cheap source for a win though, and given his $4,000 price tag on DraftKings, he could very easily pay off his salary.

As I mentioned last night with Matt Moore, the Marlins may hit left-handed pitching well as a team, but they aren’t scaring anyone with that lineup. Smyly is arguably my favorite pitching option on the board tonight. In addition to being in great form, he gets to pitch at home tonight in the pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field.

The Marlins hit left-handed pitching well as a team, but they draw a difficult matchup tonight against Drew Smyly, who has held left-handed hitters to an amazingly low .221 wOBA over the last two seasons. The right-handed hitters in this lineup don’t have enough upside to deserve consideration tonight.

Lester comes in as the top-rated pitching option on the board tonight and since the Cubs are still fighting for playoff positioning, they have every reason to try to win tonight.

The Cubs have a lot of left-handed power hitters in their lineup and Desclafani has allowed a .344 wOBA to hitters from that side of the plate. Desclafani may also struggle with run support here, as Jon Lester will be on the bump for the Cubbies.
