Unfortunately for the Arizona Coyotes they may best be served by looking ahead to next year as they are winless in their first 11 games and show no signs of turning things around anytime soon. Arizona’s lines have been changing constantly throughout the last few games as they look for the chemistry needed to at least compete in the NHL. Derek Stepan, Clayton Keller and Max Domi were on the top line but the Coyotes put Tobias Rieder on the top line and dropped Domi down to the second line with Brendan Perlini and Christian Dvorak. Now that doesn’t mean that Domi didn’t make an appearance back on the top line, which he did last game, so basically trying to guess what these lines will be during the game is anyone’s guess. Domi was back up with Stepan and Keller in practice so we will have to go with that as the top line. When teams are this bad we usually see a lot of line changes during the games as well so sticking to the guys who can at least put the puck in the net is the way to go tonight. With this news Rieder gets bumped to the third line while Anthony Duclair will skate with Dvorak and Perlini. Keller has come out of nowhere to lead the Coyotes in scoring with eight goals and 12 points while Domi is a distant second with eight points. Oliver Ekman-Larsson is usually the play on the back line but he took a shot to the head last game and could be out for this one. Alex Goliogski and Jason Demers would get a bump here if Ekman-Larsson is out but even still all three defensemen have chipped in as all of them have found the score sheet at least four times so far this season. The Flyers tend to play down to their competition so maybe the winless Coyotes get their first win here tonight.
It took the Flyers almost six years to find a good winger for the top line and surprise, it was Claude Giroux. Sean Couturier has moved up to center Giroux and Jakub Voracek and this line hasn’t looked back since. Couturier actually leads the Flyers with seven goals while Voracek is tops in scoring with two goals and 14 points. The top line is joined by Wayne Simmonds and Shayne Gostisbehere when the Flyers draw a penalty and this should be the players you are targeting for cash games tonight.
