Manu Ginobili, Danny Green, and Dejounte Murray OUT for Spurs tonight
Green hasn’t played since March 31st and will remain out tonight when San Antonio faces the Lakers. Manu Ginobili will join him on the sidelines. Kyle Anderson, Jonathan Simmons, and Patty Mills benefit the most from these two being out. All three have potential to put up nice value for their price tag but it’s hard to trust any Spurs, especially in a game that will likely be a blow out and how Pop will handle his rotations if that happens. Each is worth a look as a GPP flyer but understand there is significant risk involved with limited upside. Dejounte Murray continues to remain out for the Spurs.

Thabo Sefolosha OUT for Hawks on Thursday
Sefolosha will miss yet another game this Thursday for Atlanta – his sixth straight game. Taurean Prince will continue to start in his absence and he’s performed admirably in Sefolosha’s absence and is a viable DFS option.

Ingram has played 23 minutes the past two games after returning from a three-game absence but will have no limitations tonight when Los Angeles faces the Spurs. Corey Brewer will return to a minor role and Ingram is not a viable option given the tough match up against San Antonio.

Updating our previous report, Cleveland has confirmed that their veteran big man will indeed not play tonight against Boston thus ending his 400+ consecutive games played streak. Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson should split his time with Frye having more upside of the two.

Babbitt missed practice yesterday after injuring his hip on Sunday and followed that up by missing the team shootaround this morning. He’s listed as questionable but odds are more likely that he does not play. Okaro White and Udonis Haslme would benefit the most from his absence but neither are viable DFS options.

Harden has been battling an illness while Ariza missed Houston’s last game due to a death in the family. Both appear to be on track to play today after taking part in the morning shootaround. Harden is an obvious top play facing the woeful Nuggets defense and Ariza is also an option given the match up. In other Rockets news, Ryan Anderson has been ruled out for the Rockets and Troy Williams will continue to start ahead of Eric Gordon.

Thompson did not travel with the team to Boston after hurting his thumb last night and having an MRI performed on it. That would give the appearance that he is unlikely to play tonight and we’re considering him doubtful as of now. That said, Thompson does have a consecutive games played streak of 447 games that he and the team are extremely proud of and it would not be surprising if he found his way to Boston at the last minute to play in this pivotal regular season game. We’ll update you if anything changes regarding Thompson’s status. If he is unable to go, Channing Frye would become a viable value option tonight.

Crowder left the Celtics game against the Knicks on Sunday early after his elbow swelled up but x-rays and MRI results came back showing no significant injury. The team has listed him as probable and with a huge game tonight against the Cavaliers, it’s highly likely that he will take the court tonight.

Nowitzki and Seth Curry will not play in tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings after previously being listed as questionable on the Mavericks’ injury report with their respective ailments, while Wesley Matthews appeared in the Mavericks’ game notes as out yesterday and will indeed sit for rest purposes in tonight’s contest. In their absences, Dwight Powell and Nicolas Brussino will receive the starting nod at power forward and shooting guard respectively, while Yogi Ferrell will start his third consecutive game at point guard in Curry’s place. There obviously isn’t a huge sample size with the aforementioned players unavailable in the same game, but J.J. Barea, Nerlens Noel, and Dwight Powell all own at least a +5.6% usage rate differential with Nowitzki, Curry, and Matthews off the court this season. This makes them the preferred Mavericks to target along with Harrison Barnes and some Yogi Ferrell shares in tournaments on the late slate.

Kevon Looney (left hip strain) available to play tonight
Looney is officially available to play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after previously being listed as questionable on the Warriors’ injury report with a strained left hip that had forced him to miss three consecutive games. Looney has been out the Warriors rotation for the most part in recent weeks with David West soaking up a majority of the reserve power forward minutes, so his availability does very little to affect the playing time of any remaining rotational frontcourt players for Golden State.

Collison and Lawson will be rested and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks due to a planned recovery day. Neither point guard appeared on the Kings’ injury report at any point throughout the day despite Kosta Koufos, Arron Afflalo, and Anthony Tolliver being ruled out earlier in the afternoon. The Kings have yet to announce their starting lineup and it will be interesting to see who receives the starting nod considering they are now without any active true point guards on their roster with Collison and Lawson sitting for rest. This leaves the Kings with just eight players available, so a case can be made for rostering nearly any of them in tournaments. Tyreke Evans and Garrett Temple are likely the leading candidates to take over ballhandling responsibilities, which puts them firmly in play along with Willie Cauley-Stein and Buddy Hield, who have quickly become the only two mainstays in the Kings starting lineup as the regular season draws to a close.

Porzingis will not play in tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls due to a sore lower back despite never appearing on the Knicks’ injury report at any point during the day. Carmelo Anthony has already been confirmed in the lineup and will start at his normal small forward position. Mindaugas Kuzminskas was originally expected to draw the start in his absence, but surprisingly, Maurice N’dour will make his first career start at power forward. The largest beneficiary of Porzingis’ absence is Guillermo Hernangomez, as he has averaged 1.64 fantasy points per minute with Porzingis, Derrick Rose, and Lance Thomas off the court since the All-Star break. Carmelo will obviously a significant bump in usage rate without Porzingis available but draws a tough individual matchup against Jimmy Butler, reserving him to use in tournaments only.

Allen will not play in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs after previously being listed as questionable on the Grizzlies’ injury report with an eye injury. Additionally, Marc Gasol, JaMychal Green, and Andrew Harrison are all available to play despite carrying injury designations throughout the day with their respective ailments. The Grizzlies have yet to announce a starting lineup, but Gasol and Green should be expected to reclaim their normal spots at center and power forward which would send Brandan Wright and James Ennis back to the bench to resume their reserve roles. Gasol and Green are expected to have their minutes monitored by Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale, which removes them from consideration entirely on a full slate in a difficult matchup with the Spurs frontcourt defense.

Arthur has been out for a while now so this isn’t a surprise. His absence doesn’t have too much of an effect on Denver’s rotations. Kenneth Faried will remain the starting power forward, but his minutes have been generally low. According to CourtIQ, Faried’s per-minute fantasy production decreases when Arthur, Will Barton, and Jameer Nelson are off the floor – 0.95 DraftKings ppm vs. 1.07 with them on. Barton and Nelson were also ruled out earlier, and they certainly have a bigger impact than Arthur. Jamal Murray will get another start in Nelson’s place. Over the past three months, he’s averaged 1.04 DK points without the three injured players. Although Emmanuel Mudiay played more minutes than him off the bench in their last game, there’s a good chance that Murray hits the 30-minute mark tonight, which makes him a great value. Mudiay scored 17 points and added nine assists after being irrelevant for the past two months, but he’s infamously inconsistent and therefore a very risky bet to repeat that performance tonight.
