Thabo Sefolosha (groin) questionable for Wednesday's game vs. LAC
Sefolosha has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a left groin injury that has forced him to miss eight consecutive games. If Sefolosha is eventually ruled out, Tim Hardaway Jr. would draw the start at the shooting guard spot in his place once again, sliding Kent Bazemore down to small forward. However, given Sefolosha’s low usage, none of the remaining starting five see a particularly substantial bump from his absence. Mike Dunleavy, Malcolm Delaney, and to some extent Taurean Prince should be expected to pick up additional minutes off the bench. Hardaway Jr. would become a viable option on Wednesday’s slate, as he has an exploitable individual matchup with J.J. Redick and the Clippers backcourt defense, and has performed extremely well in stretches with the starting unit.

Klay Thompson (sore heel) expected to play on Wednesday
Klay Thompson is expected to play against the Kings on Wednesday. Thompson missed Monday’s defeat against the Nuggets due to a sore heel but he said it was a minor thing and he should be good to go tomorrow. The team has yet to send out anything official so expect another update tomorrow. Patrick McCaw will go back to the bench and not be a viable option with Thompson returning.

Cunningham and Jones will not play in tomorrow’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. With both Cunningham and Jones officially unavailable, Alexis Ajinca will likely draw the start alongside Anthony Davis once again but will not be a particularly viable option on a 14-game slate. The sample size is extremely limited, but in the five games Jones has missed this season, Anthony Davis has significantly outperformed his salary-based expectations in just under 38 minutes per contest. Additionally, Tyreke Evans should still be limited to just 20 minutes of action Tuesday. His presence in the rotation should continue diminishing Tim Frazier’s role significantly, if not altogether, and Evans also steals a substantial amount of usage from Jrue Holiday, effectively limiting his projected ceiling to some extent.

Booker has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sore right knee. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will remain in the Nets starting lineup at power forward regardless of Booker’s status, but would likely see some additional run should Booker be ruled out. However, the Nets tend to roll with an extremely deep rotation on a nightly basis, limiting the projected ceiling of every single Brooklyn player for daily fantasy purposes.

Butler will play in tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors after previously being listed as probable on the Bulls’ injury report with a right heel contusion that had forced him to miss three of the last four games. The Bulls have announced that Butler will not be subject to a minutes restriction Tuesday, meaning we should expect him to get back to his normal allotment of 36-40 minutes nightly. With Dwyane Wade already ruled out, along with Nikola Mirotic and Paul Zipser, Butler will be relied upon to carry the load on both ends of the floor for Chicago this evening. Additionally, Butler owns a positive 4.1% usage rate differential (33.3%) with the aforementioned trio off the court this season, adding to his already intriguing tournament appeal on tonight’s slate.

Aminu is dealing with a left knee sprain after playing 39 minutes against the Hawks last night. He is being listed as doubtful and the team started Meyers Leonard at C in their previous game. With Jusuf Nurkic available, Meyers Leonard could move over and start at PF on Wednesday. We likely won’t have an update from the team but expect Moe Harkless to also see 30+ minutes at both forward spots.

The Nuggets will be without Darrell Arthur (knee), Kenneth Faried (ankle), and Danilo Gallinari (groin) for Wednesday’s game against the Timberwolves. Wilson Chandler and Emmanuel Mudiay were also unable to play on Monday against the Warriors and are being listed as questionable for Wednesday. With so much uncertainty, Will Barton, Jameer Nelson, and Nikola Jokic stand out as the primary beneficiaries. Mason Plumlee is also available to make his Denver Nuggets debut tomorrow. We should have another update following shootaround tomorrow morning.

The Bosnian big man is expected to play against the Utah Jazz tomorrow. Centers are usually avoided against the Jazz and Nurkic will likely have a tough time in his first game with the Blazers. With 14 games on the slate, it does not make much sense to take a risk on Nurkic and Rudy Gobert should be heavily considered as the opposing big man. Nurkic is still cheap to the point where he could make sense in GPPs on smaller slates that are offered tomorrow.

Thaddeus Young will miss another game due to a sprained wrist and Lavoy Allen has been upgraded after missing last night’s game due to a sore knee. Allen had started the games that Young missed but since both players missed last night’s game against the Spurs, Kevin Seraphin started. Seraphin ended up playing 27 minutes but did not score over 20 fantasy points. If Allen is out again, expect Seraphin to start and once again be a viable option against the Cavs on Wednesday. Since it is a sore knee, we should expect Allen to rejoin the starting lineup. Allen is also a low-end option that would need to play 30+ minutes to truly exceed value.

The Kings guard has missed the last two games and is considered a game-time decision. It’s more likely than not that the team will give him the night off but it’s something we’ll keep an eye on heading into roster lock. Darren Collison gets significant run when Lawson is out and Ben McLemore also benefits from additional playing time. Both are viable options tonight.

Eric Gordon practices today; expected to play on Wednesday
Gordon, who missed the last two games with a back injury, practiced today and is expected to play for the Rockets on Wednesday night.

Shumpert was originally thought to possibly be out until the All Star break but he’s in line to play tonight giving the Cavaliers some much needed depth – a hit to the value of Kyle Korver. Also as a reminder, Channing Frye will start for the injured Kevin Love and is a viable value option on this three game slate.

It’ll be Frank Kaminsky day tomorrow for the Hornets as two of their big men have already been ruled out. Frank the Tank should see all the minutes he can handle tomorrow and will be a top (highly owned) option on the Wednesday slate.

Wade will miss his second straight game with a wrist injury and Nikola Mirotic and Paul Zipser will join him on the bench. Jimmy Butler, however, is probable and with Wade out gets a huge boost in usage and is a top option on this small three game slate. Denzel Valentine, Jerian Grant, Michael Carter-Williams, and Rajon Rondo all figure to benefit from the injury situation.

He was originally thought to just be out until the All Star break but the Cavaliers star forward underwent surgery on his left knee and will be sidelined for the next six weeks – he’ll come back with just a few weeks in the regular season. Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson will both pick up extended roles with Love out.
