LaMarcus Aldridge (rest) ruled out tonight
Aldridge will be rested for tonight’s game versus Miami. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili were rested on Saturday and didn’t play, but they were left off the Spurs’ injury report today and should be active. David Lee will presumably draw the start in place of Aldridge, but coach Gregg Popovich could just move Kawhi Leonard to the power forward spot, since the Heat are likely to start Luke Babbitt, and insert Jonathon Simmons into the starting lineup on the wing. This is a situation to monitor and hopefully we will receive some sort of clarity prior to lock.

Wade Baldwin, JaMychal Green, Andrew Harrison, and Jarell Martin all questionable for tonight
Baldwin, Green, Harrison, and Martin are all listed as questionable for tonight’s matchup with Washington, along with Tony Allen, who is expected to make his season debut on Wednesday. Mike Conley and Marc Gasol will continue to have their minutes monitored this evening, but since Conley sat all but six minutes of the first half on Saturday, we should expect Gasol to follow suit tonight. If Green and Martin end up being inactive for this game, Zach Randolph should enter the starting lineup due solely to the lack of available options.

Dirk Nowitzki will play tonight, as expected
Nowitzki will almost certainly push J.J. Barea from the starting lineup, but that shouldn’t affect Barea’s role all that much, as the Mavericks have rolled out a ton of three-guard lineups with or without Nowitzki to begin the season. Andrew Bogut could lose the most playing time if the season opener is any indication of Rick Carlisle’s rotation. Nowitzki will be better reserved for tournaments since he may not be completely over the illness, but if you’re looking for a similarly priced pivot off JaMychal Green, Nowitzki is your guy at $6K on DraftKings. Harrison Barnes fantasy value also seems to be on the rise, as he continues to slide over to the power forward spot in small-ball lineups.

Bullock will miss his third consecutive game to start the season tonight in a matchup with Milwaukee, but his absence (or eventual presence) will not affect the rotation much as coach Stan Van Gundy continues to allocate heavy minutes to the starting unit.
Wayne Ellington (thigh) ruled out tonight
Ellington will miss his third straight game after suffering a thigh contusion in the Heat’s final preseason game. Ellington has yet to practice since the injury, but Heat coach Erik Spoelstra suggested that his leg is feeling better. Consider Ellington unavailable for Miami until further notice. In his absence, Rodney McGruder has been the second guard off the bench, but he’s been extremely volatile in his first two games and not viable as a fantasy option currently.
Patrick McCaw (ankle) ruled out for tomorrow
Not only will McCaw miss tomorrow’s game against Phoenix, but he will also be sidelined for the Warriors final game of their current three-game road trip. McCaw was helped to the locker room at halftime of yesterday’s win over New Orleans and didn’t return to the game. He was later diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. The Warriors’ plan is to re-evaluate McCaw once the team arrives back in the Bay Area. Ian Clark went on to play six second half minutes in McCaw’s absence and Andre Iguodala was extended to a season-high 30 minutes.

Arthur ultimately won’t suit up for tonight’s matchup with the Trail Blazers. Arthur was previously ruled out after Friday’s practice, as he recovers from offseason left knee surgery, before being upgraded to questionable earlier in the day, . In Arthur’s absence, Kenneth Faried played 14 of his 28 minutes at center, and Nikola Jokic was limited to just 21 minutes with early foul trouble.The rotation of Jokic, Faried, and Jusuf Nurkic will contiue to still split the lions’ share of the power forward and center minutes.

Hamilton will start alongside Jeremy Lin, Bojan Bogdanovic, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Trevor Booker. He should get plenty of run in the starting lineup and is primed for a great game against the weak Milwaukee frontcourt defense.
Aaron Brooks (knee) ruled out tonight
With Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) and Brooks both officially ruled out of tonight’s matchup with Chicago, expect Joe Young to play a limited role off the bench as the backup point guard while Monta Ellis and C.J. Miles handle most of the backcourt duties when Jeff Teague sits and vice versa.

Mills will draw the start in place of Parker tonight against New Orleans. In the starting lineup, Mills should see minutes approaching 30 while the Spurs utilize Dejounte Murray as the primary backup point guard.

Snell (ankle) will draw the start and make his Bucks debut tonight against Brooklyn, though he will not be viable as a fantasy option due to his 20-minute restriction. This news also removes Teletovic from tournament consideration, as we are still unclear how this new Bucks’ rotation will shake out.

Hibbert left last night’s game with an apparent knee issue and didn’t return. Cody Zeller went on to start the second half in his place and will draw the start tonight against Boston with Hibbert officially ruled out. This clearly creates an opportunity for Zeller and Spencer Hawes to receive extended run against the susceptible Celtics’ frontcourt. Coach Steve Clifford also confirmed that Kaminsky will make his season debut after missing the first two games with a foot injury. Hawes and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist split a majority of the backup power forward minutes in his absence, but if Kaminsky is on any sort of minutes restriction, Kidd-Gilchrist’s fantasy outlook will only be slightly downgraded since Hawes will play most, if not all, of his minutes at the five.

Ginobili (rest) and Parker (rest) will not play in tonight’s game versus New Orleans, as it is the first leg of a back-to-back set. Patty Mills will almost certainly draw the start at point guard, but the offense will still flow through Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge as it typically does. Since coach Gregg Popovich decided to rest Ginobili and Parker, it’s pretty likely he’ll limit the minutes for the rest of the starters while relying more on his bench. We should expect Kyle Anderson and Jonathon Simmons to get plenty of extended minutes while Dejounte Murray will likely come off the bench as the backup point guard. Mills has quickly become one of the best value plays in cash games at just $3.8K on DraftKings and $3.9K on FanDuel.

Allen will miss tonight’s game against New York, as was ultimately expected, with a knee injury that dates back to training camp. With the news that Mike Conley and Marc Gasol are on a tighter minute restriction for this weekend’s back-to-back set, and with Allen unavailable, Andrew Harrison will likely start at shooting guard, after playing a massive 38 minutes Wednesday, while Wade Baldwin has firmly supplanted himself into cash game consideration after posting an outstanding fantasy outing in the Grizzlies’ season opener. Given how well Baldwin performed in the opener, it would not be surprising to see him cut into some of Harrison’s playing time.

Stuckey left last night’s game with a strained right hamstring and was unable to return. Without him for most of the game Friday, Joe Young and Glenn Robinson split playing time off the bench, but C.J. Miles was the primary beneficiary of the extra reserve minutes vacated by Stuckey. Miles should receive a bulk of the backcourt reserve minutes once again tonight. However, Miles is still better utilized as a tournament flier, even with his low price point around the industry. If Brooks is indeed unable to play, expect Young to play limited minutes off the bench as the backup point guard once again. The potential absence of Stuckey and Brooks could also allow Jeff Teague and Monta Ellis to receive more playing time than normal in this depleted Pacers’ backcourt.
