Iman Shumpert will start in place of LeBron James on Wednesday. Shumpert is a fine value play with his salary $3,500 on both major sites. Shumpert should be able to secure 28+ minutes against the Mavs.

Alan Anderson ruled out for Wednesday
Alan Anderson reinjured his ankle that he had two surgeries on and has been ruled out. Garett Temple and Marcus Thornton should see a few extra minutes with Anderson out but both of them are low-end DFS options with Beal healthy.

LeBron James has been ruled out of Wednesday’s contest with the Mavs. James next opportunity to play will be on Friday against the Magic but he could rest for that one too. The Cavs play again on Saturday against the Heat. Iman Shumpert will start in his place and should be considered a solid punt play.

Kelly Olynyk stated that he feels good and should be able to play tonight. Olynyk has missed twelve games with a separated shoulder and will likely be eased back into the rotation. Olynyk was averaging about 15 minutes prior to the injury so he will likely not exceed that against the Thunder.

Ben McLemore has been officially ruled out with a fractured finger. Darren Collison has been starting the last four games and has been playing well. Collison played 41 minutes against the Lakers last night so there is a change that he is fatigued. In a matchup with the Pelicans tonight, Collison should be able to exceed value on his mid-range salary on both major sites.

Meyers Leonard has been ruled out with a shoulder injury for Thursday’s contest with the Spurs. Ed Davis will likely pick up his minutes but is a low-end DFS option. Leonard has only been playing about 20 minutes a game so Noah Vonleh could see a slight bump along with Chris Kaman and Pat Connaughton. None of them are truly viable candidates for DFS with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum getting a majority of the usage for the Blazers.

Robert Covington and Jerami Grant are both dealing with concussions and will not play against the Wizards. Richaun Holmes has a strained Achilles and is also out. Isaiah Canaan has 26+ fantasy points in two consecutive games and will look to keep the hot shooting going against a team that struggles to guard wings. Hollis Thompson is averaging 23.7 DKFP over his last six games and should be a viable option even though his salary has spiked.

Norris Cole is doubtful for Wednesday’s contest with the Kings. Toney Douglas has exceeded value in the four games that Cole has been out. His salary has spiked recently with his good play and he gets a great matchup tonight. The Kings rank 24th in DvP against point guards, making him a strong punt candidate. With the Kings playing on the second night of a back-to-back, this game should be competitive throughout. This game also has the highest projected total, meaning Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis are also great options.

Gordon Hayward has missed one game so far due to plantar fasciitis and is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Suns. Joe Ingles replaced him in the lineup and played 37 minutes. Ingles only scored 17 FD/18.8 DK fantasy points, making him a low-end option for Thursday. With Hayward out of the lineup Rodney Hood was able to exceed value and put up 29.9 FD/33 DK fantasy points.

Pierce wasn’t able to play last night and is doubtful to return to action tonight. Both Jeff Green and Wesley Johnson are in nice spots tonight, although Green has been seeing an extra 5-6 minutes of court time compared to Johnson which makes him the better DFS play. Green has upside as a scorer that Johnson doesn’t necessarily have (although Johnson is better at racking up defensive stats) and a game with a fast-paced Rockets team seems to play more into Green’s favor.

C.J. Miles (illness) expected to play on Thursday
C.J. Miles was out Tuesday due to an illness but has fully recovered and expects to play against the Raptors. Miles has had one good game in the last two months, making him a risky fantasy option. Miles will be a tough option to recommend with Rodney Stuckey healthy and Ty Lawson expected back.

Ty Lawson was able to practice today and said his ankle felt good. Lawson should play on Thursday against the Raptors. Lawson has not proven much since coming over to the Pacers, making him a low-end tournament option. Look for an official confirmation on his status tomorrow.

Lance Stephenson (wrist) and Vince Carter (calf) remain questionable for their contest with the Timberwolves. Both players did not play on Monday. If both players miss the game, Matt Barnes and Tony Allen could see over 30 minutes. Allen and Barnes should only be considered tournament option as both have a tendency to bust every couple games. Zach Randolph is out with a sore knee and P.J. Hairston is out with a groin injury.

Sasha Vujacic will be making his fourth consecutive start with Arron Afflalo coming off the bench. Vujacic has seen his playing time and production decrease since his first start. Vujacic does have tournament appeal with the Knicks facing the Warriors. With the Knicks currently underdogs by 14.5 points, Vujacic could also play in garbage time. Arron Afflalo will come off the bench for the second consecutive game and is a risky tournament option.

Hassan Whiteside sat out of the contact portion of today’s practice with general soreness. He should be able to play on Thursday. Whiteside has had a double-double in six consecutive games and should be an elite option against the Hornets. Look for an update tomorrow if anything changes on his status.
