Nikola Vucevic listed as out Saturday
Nikola Vucevic will likely miss his fourth straight game Saturday with a groin injury. With Vucevic out of the lineup, Dewayne Dedmon and Jason Smith will split the minutes at center. Last night, Dedmon earned the start. He played 25 minutes against the Kings and finished with 19 FD points. He is just $3,600 on FD and the minimum on DK. Smith played 23 minutes last night and finished with 32 FD points. He is $3,900 on DK and the minimum on FD. Dedmon and Smith are GPP punt plays only.

Paul Pierce and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute out for Clippers tonight
Wesley Johnson will get the start for Pierce who will sit out the game with an injured toe. Mbah a Moute has been out for awhile now and will miss another game tonight. Johnson has had flashes of DFS relevance but is too consistent to be counted on as anything other than a GPP dart throw.

Dewayne Dedmon to start for Magic tonight
Jason Smith will move back to the bench as Dedmon gets the start for the injured Nikola Vucevic when the Magic take on the Sacramento Kings. If Dedmon can hit 20+ minutes of playing time he will make for an excellent punt at center for those playing on late slates or sites with late swap. He put up 20 FanDuel fantasy points in just 19 minutes last game, and gets to square off against a Kings team that is second to last in fantasy points allowed per game.

Recently signed Briante Weber will get the start for the Grizzlies tonight joining Tony Allen, Matt Barnes, JaMychal Green, and Ryan Hollins. Weber’s probably not available yet on most DFS sites so he’s not in play as a value option.

Hood was previously listed as questionable to play but Head Coach Quinn Snyder said he will “give it a go” tonight when the Jazz take on the Washington Wizards. There is merit to using him on a late swap site as he had a solid match up as the Wizards are 20th in SG DvP. Hood is relatively affordable and has good upside (he’s scored 30+ fpts in 6 of his last 15 games). Chris Johnson is no longer in play.

Beal missed shootaround this morning so there was concern he wouldn’t play tonight and those concerns came to fruition as Wizards Head Coach Randy Wittman stated Beal would not play tonight. Garrett Temple benefits the most from this news but is not in play going against a Utah Jazz team that is 4th in SG DvP and 2nd in fantasy points allowed per game.

As expected, Zach Randolph will not play tonight for Memphis when they play the New Orleans Pelicans. This means JaMychal Green will be in line for big minutes again. However, he’s not the automatic play that he was the previous two games as his price has risen to $6,400 on FanDuel and $5,700 on DraftKings. He’s definitely in play going against the Pelicans but expectations should be tempered due to his price increase.

Wade tested out his bruised thigh and felt good and will give it a go tonight. It’s a hit to the usage of players like Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside (both are still in play; especially Whiteside who is a top option). Josh Richardson loses value and is no longer a viable DFS option on a night filled with value. Wade himself is a GPP option but there are better plays out there at the SG position.

This is confirmation of news we expected as Cole has officially been ruled out and Toney Douglas will start in his place. Douglas is a top value option at the PG position at under $4K on both FanDuel and DraftKings. He put up over 20 fantasy points in 37 minutes of playing time last game, and should be able to do something similar going up against a Grizzlies team missing both Mike Conley and Mario Chalmers.

Justin Holiday will start for the injured Derrick Rose on Friday. While Holiday is a viable punt play tonight, don’t think that he’ll take over Rose’s responsibility. The offense will run mainly through Pau Gasol who is a strong candidate to push for a triple-double even in a tough draw with the Heat. E’Twaun Moore will probably act as the “point guard” with the first unit with Aaron Brooks doing most of the ball-handling with the second unit. Moore is a nice GPP play tonight while Brooks should be left untouched. Gasol is far and away the top target on the Chicago side, as his usage should remain sky high with Rose and Butler off the court.

Bojan Bogdanovich OUT tonight; Markel Brown starting
The Nets are resting Bogdanovich tonight and Markel Brown will start in his place. Brown becomes a top value option at the SG position going against the 76ers. While inconsistent, Brown has plenty of upside as evidenced by a 27.7 and 40.1 FanDuel fpts games in two of his last three.

It’s hard to tell whether the Sixers are actually banged up, or if they are really just tanking hard for a draft pick. Maybe it’s a combination, but regardless of the situation Robert Covington has proven to be a bright spot for the otherwise mediocre Sixers team. He was relatively quiet throughout the main part of the season as Philadelphia was healthy and everyone was playing, but now as we near the latter part of the season and we see players starting to rest, Covington has stood out as a reliable option for them. In the last four games he has put up double-digit shots and has had 31+ DK points. A lot of this can be attributed to the slight increase in playing time due to Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel, Nik Stauskas, and Kendall Marshall all missing their fair share of games over the last couple of weeks. It looks like Marshall and Stauskas will continue to see very limited minutes, and Jahlil Okafor was just ruled out for the year with a knee injury so Covington should continue to see consistent minutes. Of course the risk that goes along with rostering players from a team that is tanking is the chance they randomly sit out any given night. With that being said, Covington looks to be the least likely of anyone on the Sixers to sit out, and he remains a great option in a matchup with Brooklyn who is 19th in DvP vs. SFs.
Nemanha Bjelica to play today; no minutes limitation
Bjelica hasn’t played since February 10th but will return tonight with no minutes limitation. Bjelica never played too much prior to the injury so he’s not a viable DFS option. He might take a few minutes away from the likes of Gorgui Dieng and Karl-Anthony Towns but not enough to warrant taking those two out of play.

The Kings have been horrific at guarding opposing SGs and SFs all season as they are 29th and 24th in DvP respectively. Elfrid Payton and Nikola Vucevic will be out for the Magic in this match up with the Kings. That is really all you need to know for you to roster Victor Oladipo as he will see a bump in usage in a great match up. Last time out vs. the Kings, Oladipo only played 25 minutes because of one of Scott Skiles’ infamous mood swings. However, we likely don’t need to worry about that as Oladipo should see all the minutes he can handle with two of their starters out. He has a lot of upside tonight and should see 35+ minutes in a superb match up with the Kings.
Kelly Olynyk still out for Celtics
It’s been more than a month since Olynyk last took the court and he won’t return tonight when the Celtics take on the Houston Rockets. Jared Sullinger is the biggest beneficiary and is a safe option (no fewer than 24 FanDuel fpts in his last 11 games) but his upside is limited as the Celtics rotations are inconsistent and his playing time varies (he only played 21 minutes last game). Sullinger will play tonight per the Celtics official Twitter feed.
