Ricky Rubio will play tonight
Ricky Rubio will play tonight against the Magic. His presence effectively kills the value of Zach LaVine, who is a premium value target anytime Rubio sits. It’s unclear whether Rubio will see his normal allotment of minutes, but it doesn’t appear that he’ll be limited at this time. He’s a potential contrarian play in tournaments, but he’s not viable in cash games. Kevin Garnett will also play tonight.

Jared Dudley remains a starter at PF on Tuesday
Dudley will start alongside Wall, Beal, Porter and Gortat on Tuesday. Look for Dudley to see somewhere around 28-30 minutes against the Cavs, and while he does have a low ceiling, he’s an option at minimum price on DraftKings. Kris Humphries should also pick up some of the slack with Nene and Gooden out. Marcin Gortat is a sneaky tournament play (especially on DK where you can use two centers) given the lack of depth in the Wizards front-court.

Carmelo Anthony missed Sunday’s game with a strep throat but feels well enough to play on Wednesday against the Sixers. Anthony would be an elite choice against Philadelphia, but a blowout could also be in store due to the Sixers playing tonight. Lance Thomas would go back to the bench losing all his DFS value.

Lou Williams will play tonight against Sixers
As noted earlier, Lou Williams will be back in the lineup tonight to face the Sixers. Lou Williams is not a great fantasy option due to his scoring only mentality. With Lou Williams back in the lineup, Nick Young’s value takes a hit as well. D’Angelo Russell will also see a downtick in minutes, and possibly the bench in crunch time.

No surprises here, but it’s worth noting that Jared Dudley should start at PF and is a good bet to cross the 27-28 minute mark against the Cavs. He’s not a recommended play on FanDuel, but he’s viable on DraftKings at the minimum. Kris Humphries may also see a bigger role against Kevin Love, who may give Dudley some trouble down low. There is no real beneficiary with Gary Neal out, as his minutes will likely just be eaten up by some combination of Ramon Sessions and Garrett Temple.

This is the lineup they’ve used the last two games, so no real surprises here. Canaan, Covington and Okafor are the core targets here, with Jerami Grant in play also as a GPP target. He’s a solid pivot off the more popular T.J. Warren if you are punting a forward spot in that price range.

Nerlens Noel will come off the bench tonight and is expected to play limited minutes after missing the last two games. He’s not going to be in play in any format tonight, but this does bode well for the value of Jahlil Okafor, Robert Covington and Jerami Grant. Covington and Okafor are strong plays in any format, while Grant is a very solid tournament play given his ability to contribute in all stat categories. This is a great chance for the Sixers to grab their first win, and the game staying competitive would be good for the DFS-viable players in this game.

Nerlens Noel has missed the last two games with a knee injury but will be playing tonight. Noel’s price has fallen a ton over the past month and this matchup is going to be as good as it gets. There will be a ton of rebounds to go around, but Noel carries a ton of risk as well. He is not much of a scorer but can get enough shots around the rim to make him worth it.

He left last night’s game around the halfway point and never returned. He’s dealing with an inflamed rib cartilage and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Clippers play it safe with Paul during the regular season. They take on the Pacers at home tomorrow night (10:30 start), so those on non late-swap sites may have a tough decision on their hands when it comes to rostering Clippers. If Paul sits, both Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers would become viable punt plays, with Blake Griffin also picking up value.

The Nuggets will have to rely on Randy Foye again if Gary Harris is not able to play. Foye’s shot is currently broken, but he did save his night yesterday by grabbing 7 rebounds. Will Barton has been struggling over his last few games and should be able to bounce back against the Bulls. With the Bulls ailing this could be the game that Will Barton needs to get back on track.

Aaron Brooks will be out against the Nuggets on Wednesday. Kirk Hinrich is also questionable for the game. With Jimmy Butler mentioning he is suffering through a sore heel, but Butler mentioned he will play through the pain. The Bulls will rely heavily on Derrick Rose and the Nuggets present a great matchup for Rose, so he should be able to get into the lane at will. Also, look for Pau Gasol to continue his recent strong play with against an undersized frontcourt.

The Suns have confirmed that Alex Len will be starting in place of Tyson Chandler who is suffering from a hamstring injury. Len makes for an excellent punt at $3,200 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel. The Suns battle the Nets tonight and Len will see extended minutes trying to guard Brook Lopez. Len has hit 18 FPs in both starts this season and should be able to surpass that with 30+ minutes tonight.

Neither player made the trip with the team and will not be available for tonight’s game. Jared Dudley and Ramon Sessions are the two most likely to benefit from their absences and both are in play as value plays/punts at their price points across the industry. Dudley is the safer play of the two but both have shown the ability to put up 25+ fpts when given the opportunity.

Tyson Chandler doubtful to play tonight
Suns Head Coach Jeff Hornacek stated that Tyson Chandler is unlikely to play tonight. Alex Len is the biggest beneficiary of this news and is a viable value play/punt in tonight’s slate. Mirza Teletovic and Jon Leuer also see a bump in value with Chandler out.

Watson made the trip with the Magic but is likely to sit with an injured left calf. This has little DFS impact other than ensuring that starting PG Elfrid Payton will see the floor a lot – he’s in play tonight on a somewhat short NBA slate.
