Ricky Rubio probable Friday
Ricky Rubio looks likely to play against the Pacers on Friday. While his availability is not officially active, he was likely held out last night due to their back-to-back set. Rubio will look to shut down George Hill and facilitate an offense that is playing well with Andrew Wiggins, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Nemanja Bjelica. The Pacers play at a slower pace but have been getting crushed inside by oppositing big men, so this game should likely favor Anthony-Towns and Bjelica. Kevin Garnett is likely to sit as well, due to this game being on the second night of a back-to-back.

Bradley Beal questionable Saturday
Bradley Beal did not take part in Friday’s practice and the Wizards have listed him as questionable. Beal has been suffering from a shoulder injury and will likely need more time to heal. Gary Neal will once again get the spot-start and make for a decent punt play. Look for John Wall to be more assertive, with Otto Porter Jr. and Marcin Gortat also getting more touches. The Magic are facing injury concerns of their own and will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back.

Richaun Holmes will be sidelined for the next 8-10 days due to a hamstring injury. Jerami Grant played 32 minutes last game in the absence of Holmes. Hollis Thompson will also be asked to play a little bit due to Robert Covington still being out. Covington is expected to return on Monday from his knee injury. With Nerlens Noel returning tonight, the Sixers will try their best at not to not get blown out. Vegas does think there will be a blowout though, so expect Grant to get a lot of garbage time run.

The Bucks have listed Michael Carter-Williams as probable for Saturday’s game against Cleveland. Tyler Ennis will go back to the bench, and Greivis Vasquez will split time with Jerryd Bayless as guards off the bench. Michael Carter-Williams will be fresh and ready to attack Mo Williams. Giannis Antetokounmpo will expend a ton of energy guarding LeBron James, and Jabari Park will also have a tough time with Kevin Love. Carter-Williams may have to carry a larger offensive role in this game with his advantage on Williams.

After hitting the game winner against the Lakers and playing 25 minutes with no setback, the Magic will insert their big man into the starting lineup. Dewayne Dedmon will lose all his value, considering the amount of options available on a full slate of games. The Magic host the Jazz and will need Vucevic to carry a larger offensive burden with Victor Oladipo being ruled out with a concussion.

No big surprise here, but Joffrey Lauvergne will miss yet another game due to a nagging back injury. It’s unclear whether the Nuggets will go big or small against Houston, but with Dwight Howard expected to play tonight, they’d be wise to start J.J. Hickson at center so Kenneth Faried can shift down to PF. The only chance Will Barton likely has at starting would be if Dwight was ruled out, but it appears that he’ll play tonight and will sit out tomorrow’s game. Hickson himself would be in a tough spot against Dwight, but he’s still a viable DFS punt play as the starter. Nikola Jokic will also provide depth at center off the bench.

Dwight Howard likely to play on Friday
Per Rockets beat Jonathan Feigen, Dwight has upgraded himself to “most likely” to play tonight, while noting that he wouldn’t play tomorrow. This still doesn’t appear to be set in stone, but it’s a good indicator that Howard will be in action tonight against a very weak Denver front-court. Howard has been on a tear of late and is an elite play in any format tonight. He’s especially attractive at $7,400 on DraftKings, not only because of the low price tag, but also because you could late-swap if something unexpected happens before tip off.

Kevin McHale said there is no decision on whether Dwight Howard would play tonight or not. Clint Capela would be the biggest beneficiary if Howard sits and would make a great play in both cash and GPP’s at his price point. Terrence Jones benefits if the big man sits and James Harden, to a lesser extent due to increased usage, would as well.

Rudy Gobert and Rodney Hood questionable
Utah’s big man is questionable for tonight as is Rodney Hood. Derrick Favors would be a great GPP play if Gobert sits out – he put up a monster game the last time Gobert sat.

The Pelicans superstar forward looks like he will not play in tonight’s game against the Raptors. Ryan Anderson gets the biggest bump but Ish Smith and Eric Gordon should also benefit from increased usage.

The veteran guard practiced yesterday and took part in today’s shootaround and should play in tonight’s game against the Rockets. He’s not in play for DFS purposes tonight and his return could put a hit on Emmanuel Mudiay’s potential upside.

With Meyers Leonard out, Ed Davis will get the start at PF for the Trail Blazers tonight. Probably still a match up to avoid though as he has to go up against the Grizzlies and Zach Randolph.

After missing a couple games, Nerlens Noel will play tonight. That’s good news for a 76’ers team that will be without Richaun Holmes and Robert Covington. Noel makes for an excellent GPP play against the Thunder and don’t ignore Nik Stauskas and Hollis Thompson who are both excellent value plays.

Kobe Bryant missed the team shootaround this morning and the Lakers are listing him as questionable to play tonight. From all appearances though it seems unlikely he will play. Lou Williams and Nick Young would be the logical beneficiaries if Bryant does indeed not play.

DeMarre Carroll continues to battle plantar fasciitis and is questionable to play tonight. James Johnson and Corey Joseph would benefit the most from his absence with Joseph being an especially intriguing GPP play as he has performed well of late.
