Travis Benjamin questionable for Week 7
Desmond Trufant and the Falcons have shut down opposing WR1s this season. They’ve allowed the fewest yards per game to the position (51.6) and the third-fewest receptions (7.6), per Football Outsiders. At the same time they’re allowing the most receptions per game to tight ends (9.3) and second-most receptions to running backs (9.9). On the whole, the team has allowed the third-most passing touchdowns (14) and sixth-most passing yards per game (285). While Trufant helps the Falcons shut down their opponent’s number one receiver, which is Benjamin in this case, there are definitely weaknesses elsewhere. If Benjamin plays, Tyrell Williams, Hunter Henry (even with Gates cutting into his workload), and Melvin Gordon (more so in full PPR) are better options. If Benjamin can’t play, Tyrell Williams would take a downgrade as he would see a lot more of Trufant, if not a shadow.

Brandon Marshall would receive a big upgrade if Smith can’t play in Week 7. Last week, Odell Beckham had two catches for 11 yards and zero touchdowns while Smith was in the game. After the cornerback was concussed and forced to exit, Beckham went off for 211 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions. Marshall can’t be expected to replicate that type of game, but he should be a target monster and he’ll definitely be more effective with his opportunities if Smith is out.
As reported by: Baltimore Times Other tagged players: Brandon MarshallJoe Flacco questionable and Steve Smith doubtful for Ravens
The Ravens have listed their starting QB as questionable but most expect him to be able to play. Ryan Mallett would get the start if he is unable to go. Steve Smith has missed practice all week, is listed as doubtful, and is not expected to play. The Ravens receiving trio of Mike Wallace, Breshad Perriman, and Kamar Aiken are all in play going against the woeful Jets pass defense (assuming Flacco plays that is).
As reported by: Kimberley Martin on Twitter Other tagged players: Steve SmithCarlos Hyde OUT for Sunday
As expected, the 49ers have ruled out Carlos Hyde for their game against the Buccaneers this week. Mike Davis and Shaun Drough should split the load in what will be a tough match up with Gerald McCoy back from injury for Tampa Bay. Both are reasonable value options, however, if looking to pivot away from the likes of Jacquizz Rodgers and Mike Gillislee in GPP’s.

Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer stated WR Stefon Diggs would be listed as questionable. The team expects him to play in what should be a low scoring affair with the Philadelphia Eagles. There are better options out there at WR.
As reported by: Matt Vensel on TwitterWill Fuller will play Monday Night
He’s practiced all week so this news does not come as a surprise. He’s nothing but the most contrarian of plays though going against the Denver Broncos defense.
As reported by: John McClain on TwitterJamaal Charles now questionable for Sunday
News out of Kansas City has Jamaal Charles now listed as questionable as he has experienced some swelling in his knee. He was limited in practice today. Spencer Ware was already a solid option at RB going against the Saints defense – if Charles doesn’t play he becomes an elite one. We’ll update you when we learn anything more on Charles.
As reported by: BJ Kissel on Twitter Other tagged players: Spencer WareTyler Eifert status to be determined sometime this weekend
Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis stated that Eifert would not be a game-time decision and that he would determine his playing status for their game against the Browns sometime this weekend. He’s an excellent TE option if he is able to go so the news is something to keep an eye on. Once Lewis has made his determination, we’ll let you know whether Eifert will play or not.
As reported by: Geoff Hobson on bengals.comDeAngelo Williams OUT for Steelers this weekend
This would have been big news the first few weeks of the season but with Le’Veon Bell back in the fold it’s just a minor blip on the radar. Fitzgerald Toussaint will likely back up Bell but is not a viable DFS play.
As reported by: Mark Kaboly on Twitter Other tagged players: Fitzgerald ToussaintMarkus Wheaton OUT for this weekend
The Steelers have ruled out WR Markus Wheaton for their game against the Patriots this weekend. This was somewhat expected. The likes of Eli Rogers, Sammie Coates, and Darius Heyward-Bey should see increased roles but with Landry Jones at the helm none are viable DFS options.

Updating our previous report – Jordan Reed has been ruled out by the team for the Redskins this week.
As reported by: Adam Schefter on TwitterDeSean Jackson practices; in line to play Sunday
After missing practice the last two days the veteran Redskins WR took part in practice today. It’s a good sign he will play Sunday in a great match up against a Lions team that is one of (of not the) worst in the league against the pass.
As reported by: Rich Tandler on TwitterPhillip Dorsett OUT this weekend
The Colts WR has missed practice all this week and the team has ruled him out for their game this weekend against the Titans. Chester Rogers has been getting more involved in the pass game of late and him and Jack Doyle should both see an uptick in targets this week – both are viable GPP options, especially given their price tags.
As reported by: Stephen Holder on Twitter Other tagged players: Chester RogersJordan Reed doesn't practice; unlikely to play Sunday
There was some hope Reed would play this week after taking part in practice (albeit limited) on Wednesday but he has missed the last two days of practice and given his concussion history it appears he won’t play this week. Vernon Davis gets a juicy match up against a Lions team that is 31st in Pass DVOA and 23rd in TE DVOA and is a viable value option in GPP’s. If anything changes regarding Reed we’ll let you know.

The Browns WR has been battling a hamstring injury all week and has been listed as questionable by the team for their game against the Bengals this week. If he can’t go, Ricardo Louis is an intriguing value option in GPP’s and Gary Barnidge and Duke Johnson should see increased targets in the passing game.
