Spencer Ware deserves cash game consideration this week.
With Jamaal Charles being downgraded to questionable late in the week things are setting up nicely for Spencer Ware. He will potentially see the lion’s share of the work against a Saints defense that has allowed ten rushing touchdowns through five games. A big reason for allowing so many touchdowns is that the Saints have faced 27 Red Zone rushes. That figure is fifth in the league and three teams above them have played an extra game. Even if Jamaal Charles plays, I would still give Ware consideration. If Charles doesn’t play, Ware becomes almost a must. He can be had for just $5800 on DraftKings. On FanDuel the price is less enticing at $7000 but I’ll happily pay that for any RB getting the majority of work against the Saints.

Doug Martin officially ruled out for Week 7
This news was expected; it was reported earlier in the week that Doug Martin suffered a setback while rehabbing his hamstring injury. Jacquizz Rodgers will be the lead back once again for the Bucs. He’ll be a very chalky play in Week 7 as he’s very cheap across the industry and had 35 touches last game. San Francisco, their opponent, has allowed a 100-yard rusher in five straight games. Rodgers will be involved regardless of game flow. Tampa Bay loves utilizing their backs in the passing game (Jacquizz had five receptions in Week 5), and Vincent Jackson’s targets need to be distributed somewhere.

John Brown not expected to play Sunday
Updating a previous report. He hasn’t practiced all week and he’s not expected to be active against the Seahawks this weekend. Brown is second on the team in targets. A solid portion of his looks will be distributed to Larry Fitzgerald. Jaron Brown may pick up some extra targets too, but he’s questionable with a knee injury and will likely play with a brace. Michael Floyd may also benefit from Brown’s absence, but he’s been in the doghouse recently. After having 11 targets in Week 3, he’s had a decrease in opportunities each week, only having two against the Jets in Week 6. Overall, Larry Fitzgerald is the only viable option in the passing game. Last year, he averaged 8 receptions, 92.5 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns against the Legion of Boom.

He missed last week’s game against the Falcons and Matt Ryan proceeded to throw for 335 yards and three touchdowns. Chancellor’s absence is definitely a boost for the Arizona passing game, but it’s doubtful that Palmer can put up similar numbers to Ryan. It’s also a boost to David Johnson as Kam is utilized as an enforcer against the run. Devonta Freeman couldn’t fully take advantage last week, only rushing for 40 yards, but he only had 12 carries. David Johnson should definitely see a greater number of rushing attempts Sunday night.

Hurns was removed from the Jaguars injury report; he had been dealing with a shoulder injury earlier this week. He’ll be all set to face the Oakland Raiders this weekend. The Raiders rank 28th in pass DVOA according to Football Outsiders. Hurns will line up across from D.J. Hayden on roughly two thirds of his snaps. Hayden has earned a 66.9 grade from Pro Football focus.

Graham missed practice Thursday due to a sore hip, but he was back in full Friday and is ready to play the Cardinals Sunday night. After a slow start to the season, Graham has had exactly six receptions in each of the last three games, gone over 100 yards receiving twice, and scored once. He’s a major factor in the Seahawks offense. Arizona will be ready for him though, Football Outsiders ranks them 1st in DVOA against tight ends. They’re allowing the third-fewest receiving yards per game to the position, 27.7 yards. Graham should get a solid volume of targets, but his effectiveness may dip against an elite pass defense.

Palmer tweaked his hamstring against the Jets, but he’s expected to be fully ready to play the Seahawks this weekend. It will be a tough test for the aging quarterback. He was expected to have a bounce back game against the Jets in Week 6, but only threw for 213 yards and one touchdown. He’s only had two touchdowns over the past three games. Palmer may be without John Brown and Jaron Brown this weekend, which leaves him limited at receiver. It’s a bad spot for Palmer, and there are definitely better options available at quarterback this week.

He’s listed as questionable on the injury report, but it’s very likely he suits up. His presence diminishes the value DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard. Murray will most likely lack the volume necessary to have value himself. Even when he was healthy he averaged ten touches per game. Given that it’s his first week back, he probably won’t be too far off that number against the Jaguars.

Both players are expected to play despite having questionable tags on the injury report. Edelman has been quiet this season, failing to top 76 yards or score in any game this season. Even though he’s been limited in practice the past few weeks with a foot injury, he looks crisp running his routes in games. He’s averaged 8.5 targets per game since Brady’s return; his breakout game is going to come, and it could be this weekend. The Steelers have been very poor defending the slot, rotating several different guys in and out of the slot cornerback position. Technically, Sean Davis is their nickel guy, although he’s been playing more safety, and he has a very low 41.5 grade from Pro Football Focus. It doesn’t get much better after him, so Edelman should have plus matchups all game. Bennett will be ready to roll against a defense that’s allowed the second-most receptions to opposing tight ends (9.1 per game). He’s been very efficient with Brady under center, catching 84.6% of his targets.

Both players missed last week’s game against the Rams as well. In that game Golden Tate lead the team in targets with ten and Anquan Boldin was second with nine. Detroit will probably use both of those players in similar roles against the Redskins this weekend, but they may not find as much success. Football Outsiders ranks Washington 11th in pass DVOA. Plus, they’ve only allowed six passing touchdowns in six games. Dwayne Washington missed their last game, but is expected back this week. Detroit will likely try to find success on the ground through Washington, Zach Zenner, and Justin Forsett, which could further cut into the receivers’ fantasy production. The Redskins rank 31st in rushing DVOA and they’ve allowed the third-most rushing touchdowns (8). Unfortunately, the backfield isn’t really in play for fantasy; Washington is coming off an ankle sprain (something to avoid) and Detroit will likely employ a three-man committee.

Brown is suffering from leg pain, which has caused him to miss practice all week. He’s listed as doubtful for Sunday’s rivalry game with the Seahawks. If he misses the game, it will mean extra targets for Larry Fitzgerald.

Coach Adam Gase said Foster isn’t back to 100%, but he’s expected to play against the Bills this weekend. Foster isn’t a viable fantasy play this week. Jay Ajayi will likely out-touch Foster again (it was 26 to 5 last game), although the gap may narrow some. Ajayi is definitely worth consideration in GPP’s based on his performance last week, but the Bills have been solid defensively and it’s doubtful that he’ll have another monster game.

Hopkins was limited yesterday, but it was just to manage his reps. He has a very tough matchup Monday with Denver’s elite secondary. It’s probably a situation to avoid. Houston has the lowest implied team total on the board at 16.5, which is a very low number. Brock Osweiler has not been very good and he’ll likely struggle to get anything going against the Bronco’s.

He had a limited practice again on Friday and it looks like he’ll be able to play in Week 7 against Tampa Bay. He had his best fantasy performance of the year last week, but he only caught three balls in that game. Different quarterbacks have different favorite receivers. While Smith struggled to get looks from Gabbert, he was tied for the team lead in targets (7) with Kaepernick under center. It’ll take a larger sample to know whether that’s a trend or not.

San Diego is very banged up in the secondary and the Falcons offense should be able to take advantage. Atlanta has the highest implied team total on the board at 30 points. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones will likely be the most popular stack of the week. Jones will see a lot of Casey Hayward, the best available corner for the Chargers; Pro Football Focus grades Hayward at 83.4, a very high score. On the other side, Mohamed Sanu will face Craig Mager, who has a much lower 50.1 score. Rostering Sanu is a great way to get exposure to the Falcons offense at a much lower price and lower ownership. He had ten targets last week against the Seahawks. If the Chargers prioritize shutting down Jones like Seattle did, Ryan is prepared to pepper Sanu with passes.
