Austin Seferian-Jenkins signed by Jets
The Jets haven’t had a reception by a tight end yet this season, but with Seferian-Jenkins on board that could change. That stat may be due to lack of talent at the position more than anything else. We’ll update you when we know more about how New York plans to implement Seferian-Jenkins into their system.

Saints Safety Kenny Vaccaro out against Falcons
New Orleans was already pretty weak in the secondary, and this makes their situation even worse. Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and Mohamed Sanu all receive a bump with Vaccaro out. Michael Thomas will be a popular late swap tonight now that Willie Snead has been scratched, but if you had Snead in your lineups it’s worth considering Sanu as well. Our projections have Thomas less than half a point ahead of the Falcons’ 2nd WR on DraftKings and in a virtual tie on FanDuel. Sanu has a nice matchup in the slot, where he lines up 60% of the time, with DeVante Harris, who has the 12th-lowest CB grade by Pro Football Focus this season (41.1).

Marvin Lewis has stated that TE Tyler Eifert is close to returning, and the fact that Eifert was able to log limited practices last week does seem to mesh with that statement. It’s very likely that Eifert will be on some sort of snap count in his first game or two back in action, so he’ll probably be best left untouched for DFS purposes. With that said, he does carry some GPP value given that he’ll be the clear #2 target behind A.J. Green when he returns. C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Kroft will fall back into bench roles once Eifert returns.

Michael Floyd in the NFL's concussion protocol
It’s likely nothing major given that Floyd was cleared on the sidelines yesterday, but he did wake up with a headache today and will therefore be put into the concussion protocol. The Cardinals WRs outside of Larry Fitzgerald have gotten off to fairly slow starts, and that trend continued on Sunday for Floyd when he was only able to reel in four of his 11 targets. If his target total remains high – he’s averaging 8.0 per game through three weeks – Floyd will bust out soon enough. We’ll update Floyd’s status as the week unfolds.

With Shane Vereen out for the season, the Giants are surely going to want Jennings back in the lineup as soon as possible. Without Vereen around to steal passing-down work, Jennings should become a more complete back when he’s healthy, although the Giants will want to find depth to put behind the oft-injured back. Orleans Dwarka had success once Vereen went down, averaging over 5.0 YPC on 10 totes, adding one reception for nine yards. If Jennings isn’t able to suit up on Monday night, Dwarka could be the lone man standing.

It’s likely to cost Langford a few games, but some had thought it could be a season-ending ACL injury, so things could be worse. With Ka’Deem Carey inactive last night, Jordan Howard took the reigns after Langford left, and he’s going to be the guy while Langford remains sidelined. Carey is still dealing with a hamstring injury and is genuinely questionable for Week 4, so the backfield could be left to Howard simply out of necessity. Neither Langford or Carey have looked like above-average runners in their stints with Chicago, so Howard should be given a chance to prove his worth in an otherwise underwhelming backfield.

The Giants have released news that RB Shane Vereen is out for the season with a triceps injury. Rashad Jennings, if healthy, should get the bulk of the work now but if he is unable to play then Orleans Darkwa and perhaps Paul Perkins become relevant players in the Giants backfield.

Thomas Rawls will miss several weeks with a fibula injury
Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated this morning that RB Thomas Rawls is dealing with a fibula injury and will miss several weeks. The Christine Michael “awakening” will continue, especially after a break out game yesterday that saw him top 100 yards and find the end zone twice (the first two TDs of his career).

Sources have stated that the Saints #2 WR will miss tonight’s game against the Falcons. It’s a big bump for rookie Michael Thomas who is definitely in play in all formats for those who have some MNF action going. If anything changes, we’ll be the first to let you know.

Cameron suffered a concussion against the Browns yesterday and will miss their game on Thursday. Dion Sims will be the likely starter but is not a viable DFS option.

Chris Ivory active against Ravens
Chris Ivory will make his Jaguars debut this afternoon. It’s unclear how Jacksonville plans to divide the workload between Ivory and Yeldon, but considering Ivory is coming off an illness he’ll likely be limited. Despite this, Ivory should be the favorite for red zone work and has touchdown potential. Yeldon shouldn’t really be considered as a viable option, and Ivory is a risky GPP play that won’t cost too much. With all of the value at the position this week there are definitely better places to look.

As expected, the Broncos Virgil Green is inactive. Green has a strained calf and is considered week-to-week. Jeff Heuerman should draw the start but he’s nothing more than a long shot GPP play.

Yet another blow has been dealt to the Cleveland Browns as they’ll be without their best CB, Joe Haden. Haden is Pro Football Focus’ 2nd-highest graded corner at 85.4, nearly doubling the Browns 2nd and 3rd CBs scores. Miami’s offense should be able to torch Cleveland, and with a questionable running game they may rely on the pass more than the game-script would imply. Ryan Tannehill stacks with Jarvis Landry and/or DeVante Parker are looking like more appealing options by the minute.

Earlier in the week the Browns signed Charlie Whitehurst to back up rookie Cody Kessler, but the veteran has only had a few days to prepare. As all the reports have indicated, it seems like Kessler is far from NFL-ready. In fact, Cleveland has so little confidence in Kessler that they’re prepared to give former quarterback Terrelle Pryor some plays at the position. More than likely, this will be some type of wildcat package, but we know Pryor can throw the ball. With Corey Coleman out and Josh Gordon suspended, Pryor should pick up plenty of targets this week. If he does end up in a QB/wildcat situation he’ll pick up rushing yards as well. Pryor is a very interesting option, and it will definitely be fun to see how the Browns use him.
