LVR FB Sutton Smith elevated from practice squad for Thursday

Sutton Smith has been elevated from the practice squad for Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Smith is not expected to play a role for the Raiders offense as he didn’t see a single snap last week, he should not be considered DFS relevant.

Alvin Kamara

New Orleans Saints
11/24/21, 5:53 PM ET

NOS RB Alvin Kamara listed out for Thursday; RB Mark Ingram listed questionable

Alvin Kamara has been listed out for Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills while Mark Ingram has been listed as questionable. With Kamara out, Ingram is set to lead the Saints backfield for a third straight week though he could be limited due to a knee injury. Tony Jones will be the backup for Ingram and would lead the backfield if Ingram were to be ruled out. Dwayne Washington will also be available for the Saints and could be called upon to play a larger role depending on Ingram’s availability. It will be important to check Ingram’s status when inactives are released 90 minutes before kickoff as even more running back value could open up if Ingram is ruled out.

11/24/21, 5:45 PM ET

GBP QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Malik Taylor DNP Wednesday, RB Aaron Jones returned to practice in limited capacity

Aaron Rodgers and Malik Taylor logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Rodgers stated that he has a broken toe but will tough it out until it can be evaluated after during the bye week in Week 13. Malik Taylor is expected to serve as receiver depth so his status this weekend does not figure to be DFS relevant. It is also important to note that Aaron Jones returned to practice in a limited capacity but the Packers have stated they will wait till Jones is 100% before they bring him back. It will be important to monitor the status of Jones as the week progresses as it seems like there might be a small possibility for his return this week.

RB Phillip Lindsay claimed off waivers by Miami Dolphins

Phillip Lindsay has been claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins, though as of now his status for Sunday is uncertain. Lindsay was expected to be a hot commodity on the waiver wire and was scooped up by the Dolphins. He joins a backfield with Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed, Patrick Laird, and Duke Johnson. Lindsay once acclimated to his new team will likely serve as the primary backup to Myles Gaskin.

PHI RB Jordan Howard DNP Wednesday, not expected to play Sunday

Jordan Howard logged a DNP Wednesday and is not expected to play Sunday against the New York Giants. Without Howard, the Eagles will rely on Miles Sanders to lead the backfield with both Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell available to back him up. Sanders should see the bulk of the snaps with Scott mixing in on early downs and Gainwell mixing in during passing downs.

11/24/21, 5:26 PM ET

TEN WR A.J. Brown and RB Jeremy McNichols DNP Wednesday

A.J. Brown and Jeremy McNichols logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Titans matchup with the New England Patriots on Sunday. Brown’s status still seems to be in question for this weekend and it will be important to monitor his practice participation going forward. If he were to be ruled out, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Dez Fitzpatrick would be in line to play a much bigger role in the Titans passing game and could be considered as value options. Jeremy McNichols is still dealing with a concussion and if he were unable to go again this weekend the Titans backfield would likely be split between Dontrell Hilliard (passing downs) and D’Onta Foreman (early down work).

MIA TE Adam Shaheen DNP Wednesday

Adam Shaheen logged a DNP Wednesday ahead of Miami’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Shaheen is expected to help back up Mike Gesicki with Durham Smythe. If he were unable to progress in practice participation this week Smythe could see a larger role as well as Hunter Long. Shaheen’s absence wouldn’t have too much of a DFS impact.

Antonio Brown

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11/24/21, 5:14 PM ET

TBB WR Antonio Brown and WR Mike Evans DNP Wednesday

Antonio Brown and Mike Evans logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of their game this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts. Antonio Brown looks like he could be another week or two away from returning while Evans was likely taking an extra day to recover after playing on Monday night. The receiving corps will likely continue to be led by Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Tyler Johnson until Brown is able to return. It will be important to monitor the practice status of the Buccaneers wide receivers as the week progresses.

Elijah Mitchell

New England Patriots
11/24/21, 4:01 PM ET

SFO RB Elijah Mitchell returned to practice Wednesday

Elijah Mitchell returned to practice Wednesday in a limited fashion ahead of San Francisco’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Elijah Mitchell missed last weekend’s game after getting surgery to repair a broken finger but looks like he should be good to go this week. He should reclaim his role as the lead back in the San Francisco backfield with Jeff Wilson available to back him up. It is worth noting that Deebo Samuel has played an important role in the backfield the last few weeks but he could return to his role as the top receiver for the 49ers with the return of Mitchell. It will be important to monitor Mitchell’s practice participation throughout the week but logging a limited practice on Wednesday is a good sign of his availability for this weekend.

ATL RB Cordarrelle Patterson returned to practice Wednesday in limited fashion

Cordarrelle Patterson returned to practice Wednesday in a limited fashion ahead of the Falcons matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. If available Patterson is expected to reclaim his role as the top back in the Falcons backfield splitting time with Mike Davis and Wayne Gallman would be available to back them up. It will be important to monitor Patterson’s practice status throughout the week but getting a limited practice in on Wednesday is a good sign for his availability this weekend.

CeeDee Lamb

Dallas Cowboys
11/24/21, 3:16 PM ET

DAL WR CeeDee Lamb officially listed questionable for Thursday

CeeDee Lamb (concussion) practiced Wednesday and has officially been listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Lamb is progressing well so far through the protocol and the team is currently optimistic that he will be able to suit up on Thursday. Lamb would be the unquestioned top receiver for the Cowboys with Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson rounding out the receiving corps with Amari Cooper already ruled out. if Lamb were also to be ruled out Gallup and Wilson would be the top receivers with Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, and Dalton Schultz all likely playing larger roles in the passing game. It will be important to check back tomorrow when inactives are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff as Lamb will likely be considered a game-time decision.

Jared Goff

Detroit Lions
11/24/21, 2:52 PM ET

DET QB Jared Goff and RB Jermar Jefferson listed questionable for Thursday; WR Trinity Benson listed out

Jared Goff and Jermar Jefferson have been listed questionable for Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears while Trinity Benson has been listed out. As expected Jared Goff will be a game-time decsion tomorrow and if he were to be ruled out Tim Boyle would draw his second straight start. If Boyle were to start the expected production of all Detroit players would be affected in a negative way. Jermar Jefferson is not expected to play a major role in the Detroit backfield behind D’Andre Swift and Jamaal WIlliams so his potential absence is not expected to be DFS relevant. Trinity Benson will once again be out meaning Amon-Ra St. Brown, Kalif Raymond, and Josh Reynolds will lead the Lions receiving corps. It will be important to check the status of Jared Goff when inactives are released tomorrow 90 minutes prior to kickoff as his status will have a significant effect on the expected production of all Lions pass-catchers.

Allen Robinson

Detroit Lions
11/24/21, 2:53 PM ET

CHI WR Allen Robinson listed doubtful for Thursday; RB Damien Williams listed out; WR Marquise Goodwin listed questionable; WR Isaiah Coulter elevated from practice squad

In a lengthy Bears injury report Allen Robinson has been listed doubtful for Thursday, Damien Williams has been listed out, Marquise Goodwin has been listed questionable and Isaiah Coulter has been elevated from the practice squad. Allen Robinson still looks unlikely to make his return and will probably miss his second straight game meaning Darnell Mooney will be the top receiver for Andy Dalton (Justin Fields was ruled out earlier in the week) with Marquise Goodwin (questionable) and Damiere Byrd also playing a role in the passing game. The tight ends Cole Kmet and Jimmy Graham could see some more targets with Robinson sidelined as well. With Damien Williams once again ruled out Ryan Nall should serve as the third running back behind David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert. Isaiah Coulter has once again been elevated from the practice squad but should only be expected to serve in a depth role (played one snap Sunday).

11/24/21, 2:25 PM ET

NYG WR Sterling Shepard, WR Kadarius Toney, TE Kyle Rudolph, and TE Kaden Smith DNP Wednesday

Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, Kyle Rudolph, and Kaden Smith all listed as DNPs Wednesday. It is still early in the week and especially after a game Monday it is not surprising to see this many players listed as DNPs. It will be important to see what progress is made by the players throughout the week. Shepard is trying to return from a hamstring injury and would slot back in as a top receiver for the Giants if he is able to suit up Sunday. Toney is expected to be fine but is taking an injury maintenance day. It will be important to check the injury designations of all the Giants on Friday when the full injury report is released for this weekend.

Jarvis Landry

New Orleans Saints
11/24/21, 1:07 PM ET

CLE WR Jarvis Landry, WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, and WR Anthony Schwartz all DNP Wednesday

Jarvis Landry, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Anthony Schwartz all logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of the Browns game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night. It is early in the week so it is likely this was used as a maintenance day but it is worth noting how many Browns’ receivers are banged up (update: HC Stefanski says he feels good about Landry playing this week, less sure about DPJ and Schwartz). It will be important to monitor the practice report throughout the week to see if any value opens up at receiver for the Sunday night showdown slate.
