NYG WR Collin Johnson inactive; RB Saquon Barkley, WR C.J. Board, and TE Chris Myarick active
The Giants promoted Board and Myarick earlier in the day from the practice squad to the active roster, and both will be active for the Giants, likely only chipping on special teams. Johnson had been claimed by the Giants after the Jaguars cut him in the offseason, but will sit out. Saquon is officially active as expected; his workload projection is certainly volatile, but he will get an opportunity to improve on his poor week 1 showing.

Reyes was not projected for any work; the TE snaps will continue to flow through Logan Thomas.
As reported by: the Washington Football Team via TwitterPIT TE Eric Ebron (hamstring) DNP Thursday
Ebron popped up as a DNP due to a hamstring injury, a new injury as he was full yesterday. Ebron is one of the more veteran players, so it could be another precautionary hold out. If he does end up sitting, Pat Freiermuth would likely step in and be a cheap value.
As reported by: Brooke Pryor via TwitterLV RB Josh Jacobs (toe/ankle) DNP again Thursday
Jacobs is missing his second straight day of practice, but he has missed practice in the past, entered as questionable, and then played during the game. If he’s able to get even a limited practice tomorrow, he’ll likely be a go against the Steelers. If not, it’ll be Kenyan Drake, with Peyton Barber mixing in.
As reported by: Paul Gutierrez via TwitterRavens WR Marquise Brown (ankle) DNP Thursday
After playing on Monday Night, Brown has had two straight DNP’s as the Ravens prepare to play the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. If Brown sits tomorrow, it may end up being a big worry, but until then it’s likely precautionary. If Brown sits, it’ll be more looks for Sammy Watkins, and Devin Duvernay and James Proche getting some snaps.
As reported by: Jeff Zrebiec via TwitterNYJ WR Jamison Crowder activated from COVID list
Crowder missed week 1 due to being on the COVID list but was activated and should be the starting slot receiver for the Jets ahead of their game against the New England Patriots. He and Keelan Cole will return to join Corey Davis and Elijah Moore, as the room is getting crowded. The team may go with a WR by committee (outside of Davis).
As reported by: Adam Schefter via TwitterDET WR Tyrell Williams (concussion) unlikely to play Monday
Williams remains in the concussion protocol for the Lions, as the injury that caused him to leave last game is still lingering. With the Lions playing on Monday, there is an extra day for him to recover, but coach Campbell said it’s looking unlikely. This would lead to more Kalif Raymond, Trinity Benson, and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
As reported by: Tim Twentyman via TwitterRavens sign RB Devonta Freeman to active roster
With the release of Trenton Cannon, the Ravens had an open spot for an RB to join Ty’Son Williams and Latavius Murray ahead of Sunday night against the KC Chiefs. They had both Devonta Freeman and Le’Veon Bell on the practice squad, and chose to promote Freeman to the roster. Freeman will likely be the third RB, but there’s certainly volatility behind the projections, as it’s unclear if Murray or Williams will lead the way, and how much Freeman will chip in.
As reported by: Adam Schefter via Twitter49ers sign RB Trenton Cannon
After being released by the Ravens, Cannon was claimed by the 49ers as a depth piece. After signing Kerryon Johnson yesterday, the 49ers are likely just keeping some extra insurance options behind Elijah Mitchell.
As reported by: Ian Rapaport via TwitterLV RB Josh Jacobs (toe/ankle) DNP Wednesday
Jacobs was able to gut through his ailments during the Raiders MNF win, but is missing practice today. It’s likely more of a precautionary rest at this point, but should he sit, Kenyan Drake would get a huge bump.
As reported by: Vic Tafur via TwitterPHI TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) DNP Wednesday
Ertz had an issue with his hamstring last game; he left for a few plays but was able to return. It’s likely that this is just maintenance, but if it lingers, Dallas Goedert would certainly benefit
As reported by: Jimmy Kempski via TwitterCLE WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) ruled out Sunday
Coach Stefanski mentioned in his media session that Beckham will be held out against the Texans Sunday. Stefanski said that OBJ hasn’t had a setback, but that he’d rather just have clarity leading up to the game. This is certainly a bit worrisome as rarely are players ruled out this far in advance unless there’s a serious issue. In his absence, Jarvis Landry should remain the number one option; he tied for the team lead with five targets, and had 84 yards to lead the team. Behind him, it’s likely a combination of players; Donovan People-Jones and Anthony Schwartz will chip in at WR once again, while Austin Hooper and David Njoku will split the TE reps; they had a similar snap share, but Njoku ended up with 76 yards and may be a sneaky option against the Texans.
As reported by: Nate Ulrich via TwitterNYG TE Evan Engram (calf) ruled out Thursday; RB Saquon Barkley (knee) listed as questionable, but expected to play
Engram will be held out for the second straight game with his knee injury as the Giants prepare to play the Washington Football Team on Thursday Night Football. Barkley was listed as questionable, but is fully expected to play. With no Engram, it’ll likely be Kyle Rudolph once again; he played on 77% of the snaps, but was only able to manage eight yards despite five targets. The Giants still do have a crowded WR room to siphon away targets, but on a showdown slate Rudolph may be viable. As for Barkley, he only played on half the snaps and is coming off a short week, but he is expected to play once again.
As reported by: Ralph Vacchiano via Twitter Other tagged players: Saquon BarkleyTEN K Randy Bullock signed to active roster; TE Tommy Hudson to practice squad
Randy Bullock has been signed to the Titan’s active roster and Tommy Hudson is now on the practice squad. Bullock will likely serve as the Titan’s kicker this Sunday after Michael Badgley was waived yesterday. Hudson was inactive last game and will now be part of the practice squad. This means the tight end position will be handled by Anthony Frisker, Geoff Swaim, and MyCole Pruitt. The Titans take on the Seahawks this Sunday which will likely be a high scoring affair.
