MIA WR Preston Williams (knee/foot) listed questionable Sunday
Williams has an opportunity to step in a big role with Will Fuller ruled out earlier. However, Williams was listed as questionable due to a knee injury that’s kept him out all year, along with a new foot issue. Whether he sits or plays, it’ll be the combination of Devante Parker and Jaylen Waddle leading the way for the team; if Williams sit, it’ll shift some more targets that way.
As reported by: Cameron Wolfe via TwitterSEA WR D'Wayne Eskridge (concussion) and Rashaad Penny (calf) listed doubtful
The Seahawks listed two players as doubtful, which was surprising for different reasons. Penny was expected to miss multiple weeks when his injury news first came out, so his doubtful tag is good news relatively (although not for this game). Eskridge meanwhile is in the concussion protocol and is unlikely to clear it by Sunday. The Seahawks offense was quite concentrated last game, as Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf, Gerald Everett, and Will Dissly played the majority of the snaps. Freddie Swain will likely play a few more now that Eskridge is expected to sit, but he shouldn’t be in DFS consideration. With no Penny, Chris Carson becomes a better play, although Alex Collins and Deejay Dallas will still be around to steal some work.
As reported by: John Boyle via Twitter Other tagged players: Rashaad PennyIND WR Michael Pittman Jr. (ankle) and Parris Campbell (abdomen) listed questionable
The Colts injury woes may continue at WR; already without T.Y. Hilton for the first three weeks (at least), Pittman and Campbell were both added to the injury report Friday. Both players practiced in full Wednesday and Thursday, but were limited today. Zach Pascal played 91% of snaps last game, and would likely be in the same area again, regardless of either player sitting. The Colts also could utilize Ashton Dulin more, along with their TEs; Jack Doyle, Mo-Allie Cox, and Kylen Granson would all likely get more snaps as the Colts utilize 2 tight ends more than the average team. If one of the two WRs play while the other sit, it would also enhance their value.
As reported by: the Indianapolis Colts via Twitter Other tagged players: Parris CampbellNE TE Jonnu Smith (hip) listed questionable
Smith was a new addition to the Patriots injury report ahead of their divisional clash against the New York Jets. If Smith’s hip keeps him out, it’s a sizable blow to the Patriots rotation; Smith played on 73% of snaps last week and saw 5 targets for 42 yards. Hunter Henry would be a great play, as he would likely play more snaps (although he was already at 72% last game), but would generate a higher target share. More volume would also go to Jakobi Meyers and Nelson Agholor as well.
As reported by: Mike Reiss via TwitterHOU TE Pharaoh Brown (shoulder, ankle) listed questionable
After a big week 1 that nobody saw coming, Brown is now listed as questionable due to both a shoulder and ankle injury, as the Texans prepare to play the Cleveland Browns. If Brown were to sit, it would be more snaps for Jordan Akins at TE, but if he plays, it’s likely worth avoiding as the Texans have one of the lowest implied team totals on the slate.
As reported by: Sarah Bishop via TwitterTEN TE Anthony Firkser (knee) listed questionable
Firsker picked up a knee injury and was downgraded for Friday’s practice, always a worrisome sign ahead of the Titans game against the Seahawks. The Titans love to play TE by committee, so there may be a few players who benefit if he sits, primarily MyCole Pruitt and Geoff Swaim. The main targets will still be A.J. Brown and Julio Jones regardless of Firkser’s status.
As reported by: Ben Arthur via TwitterBAL WR Marquise Brown (ankle) and Devin Duvernay (groin) listed questionable
The Ravens injury woes continue, as two of their top three WRs are listed as questionable. Duvernay’s snaps would certainly be replaced easily by James Proche and Ty’Lan Wallace; both are relevant for the showdown slate. If Brown sits, it’ll be more targets shifting to Sammy Watkins and Mark Andrews. Brown was able to practice in limited fashion, so he should be good to play most likely.
As reported by: Jeff Zrebiec via Twitter Other tagged players: Devin DuvernayNYJ WR Keelan Cole (knee) and WR Jamison Crowder (groin) listed questionable
The Jets WRs will be decided likely Sunday morning, as both Crowder and Cole are questionable. Cole missed the first game with a knee injury, while Crowder was on the COVID-19 list, but now picked up a groin injury. Coach Saleh has sounded optimistic about both of their availabilities, so it looks like they’ll join Corey Davis and Elijiah Moore in a crowded WR room.
As reported by: Rich Cimini via Twitter Other tagged players: Jamison CrowderLV RB Josh Jacobs ruled out Sunday
Jacobs was not able to push through his injury ailments, and will sit out for the Raiders. This will definitely lead to Kenyan Drake getting a bigger chunk of the workload, with Peyton Barber mixing in heavily as well. Coach Gruden did rave about Barber in his news conference, but Drake’s floor and ceiling are certainly the one to watch. The Raiders do have a tough matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, so it’s not a certainty, but both players are cheap across the industry and will likely see enough volume to pay off the cheap prices.
As reported by: Tashan Reed via TwitterPHI TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) not listed on injury report, available to play Sunday
As expected, Ertz was cleared to play through his injury, and will play and split TE snaps with Dallas Goedert.
As reported by: the Philadelphia Eagles via TwitterCHI WRs Marquise Goodwin, Darnell Mooney, and Nsimba Webster all listed questionable
All three players were listed as questionable, but Goodwin and Mooney both have practiced all week and are fully expected to play. Webster is not DFS relevant if the other two play.
As reported by: the Chicago Bears via Twitter Other tagged players: Marquise Goodwin, Nsimba WebsterLV RB Josh Jacobs (toe, ankle) DNP again Friday
For the third straight day, Jacobs was a DNP due to his toe and ankle as the Raiders look to go 2-0 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. We’ll know better once we have an injury designation, but Jacobs has played despite practicing before. If he sits, it would be the Kenyan Drake show, with Peyton Barber mixing in.
As reported by: Paul Gutierrez via TwitterCLE WR Anthony Schwartz (knee) listed questionable
After being limited in practice, Schwartz was listed as questionable with a knee injury as the Browns prepare to play the Houston Texans. Schwartz’s absence is a bigger deal than it may seem; Odell Beckham Jr. has already been ruled out, so the WRs may be depleted. Jarvis Landry will be the top option regardless, but Donovan Peoples-Jones is in line for more work; he played more snaps than Schwartz last game and would get more targets without him. The Browns do utilize their tight ends more than most teams, so David Njoku and Austin Hooper would also benefit, likely more than someone like Rashard Higgins who may get more snaps, but not enough work.
As reported by: Nate Ulrich via TwitterRavens WR Marquise Brown (ankle) returns to practice Friday
Brown was becoming a worry to play in SNF this week after missing practice, but returned to practice and will likely play against the Chiefs. He does not have an injury designation yet, but it’s assumed he won’t be on the list.
As reported by: Jamison Hensley via TwitterMIA WR Will Fuller (personal) ruled out Sunday
A major shocker, Fuller was ruled out due to a personal issue, and it’s possible that his return to the team is in question. Coach Flores mentioned that he wanted to keep everything private to respect Fuller, but it seems like there is something serious in his life. The Dolphins WR room will still be crowded; DeVante Parker and Jaylen Waddle will continue to be the top options, while Preston Williams is slated to make his return from a knee injury that cost him week 1. Fuller’s status may now be a weekly thing to monitor, but Parker and Waddle should benefit by their increased certainty of snaps and targets.
