Michael Gallup (personal) currently away from team heading into Week 12
Michael Gallup is currently away from the Cowboys heading into Week 12 due to the tragic death of his brother over the weekend, the team has confirmed. With the Cowboys having a short turnaround before their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Redskins, Gallup’s status for the matchup may be in jeopardy, although it is too early to speculate how much time the wideout may miss as he deals with the matter.
As reported by: Jon MachotaKerryon Johnson (knee) and Marvin Jones (knee) don't practice Monday for Lions
Kerryon Johnson (knee) and Marvin Jones (knee) both missed practice Monday for Lions, which doesn’t bode well for either of their availabilities for the team’s Thanksgiving Day game against the Bears. Johnson was diagnosed with a knee sprain in the aftermath of his Week 11 injury and is reportedly “week-to-week”, making it appear highly unlikely he suits up Thursday. If he is unable to go, LeGarrette Blount would likely handle the early-down work for the Lions, with Theo Riddick serving as the primary pass-catching back. Jones also appears truly questionable to suit up after missing Week 11 with a knee injury of his own. In his absence, Kenny Golladay thrived in Week 11, but will have a much tougher test against the Bears defense this Thursday.
Other tagged players: Marvin JonesBrandon LaFell (Achilles) placed on IR
Brandon LaFell has been placed on IR after rupturing his achilles in the team’s Week 11 matchup with the Cardinals. The loss is just another blow to an already banged-up Raiders receiving corps, who were missing Martavis Bryant and Jordy Nelson last week as well due to injuries of their own. Jared Cook and Seth Roberts continue to function as two of the team’s most heavily targeted pass-catchers, with Marcell Ateman also seeing some looks as well. Look for Cook and Roberts to once again lead the passing attack if Nelson and Bryant miss any more time, with LaFell now done for the season.
Alex Smith (broken leg) placed on IR
Alex Smith has been placed on IR after suffering a gruesome leg injury in the team’s Week 11 matchup against the Texans. The good news for Smith is that the injury reportedly isn’t career-threatening, but he will be done for the rest of the season. Colt McCoy figures to serve as the starting QB in Smith’s absence, and today the team signed veteran Mark Sanchez to serve as McCoy’s backup. The depleted offense will have its work cut out for it against a stout Cowboys defense on Thanksgiving Day.
Cooper Kupp (torn ACL) placed on IR
Cooper Kupp has been placed on IR due to his torn ACL, and will be out for the remainder of the season. In Kupp’s absence, Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks are locked in as the two primary receiving options for QB Jared Goff and the high-flying Rams offense. Woods and Cooks both possess high floors and ceilings any given week as a result, and are truly only limited by the dominance of Todd Gurley in the rushing attack.
Jameis Winston will start at QB for the Buccaneers Sunday
Jameis Winston will start at QB for the Buccaneers Sunday for their Week 12 matchup with the 49ers. Winston was brought into the team’s Week 11 matchup with the Giants after Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched after throwing 3 interceptions, and proceeded to throw for 199 yards and two touchdowns despite only playing half of the game. It appears the performance was enough to earn Winston the starting duties for Week 12, where he finds himself in a favorable matchup against the 2-8 49ers at home.
As reported by: RIck StroudWRs Marquise Goodwin and Pierre Garçon not practicing Monday
Garcon has missed 2 of the past 3 weeks with an ongoing knee injury and Goodwin is coming off concussion symptoms in the Niners’ last game against the Giants. If one or both miss Week 12, George Kittle should continue to benefit ahead of a pristine matchup against a struggling Bucs secondary.
As reported by: Cam Inman Other tagged players: Pierre GarconRedskins sign QB Mark Sanchez
He’ll backup Colt McCoy for the remainder of the season, starting this Thursday against his former team in Dallas for a big divisional showdown. Sanchez is unlikely to see snaps, barring injury, with McCoy having proved to be a serviceable backup over the past.
As reported by: Adam Schefter Other tagged players: Colt McCoyRB Kerryon Johnson has knee sprain; Likely to "miss a game or two"
The rookie back isn’t going to play on Thursday against the Bears after spraining his knee against the Panthers in Week 11. LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick should form a committee in a very tough matchup with gamescript dictating which back sees more snaps. That would tend to favor Riddick, with the Lions being 4-point underdogs on Thanksgiving.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport Other tagged players: Theo Riddick, LeGarrette BlountQB Marcus Mariota "suffered a stinger" Sunday; Titans hopeful he can play in Week 12
Mariota didn’t return to Sunday’s loss against the Colts after experiencing numbness following a hit but this news bodes well for his chances of playing in Week 12, particularly with an extra day of rest for Monday Night Football. If Mariota can’t get healthy in time, Blaine Gabbert would get another start, potentially making the Texans D/ST the best play at the position this week.

Robby Anderson is not participating in practice today for the New York Jets. Fellow WR Quincy Enunwa is on the field.
As reported by: Andy Vasquez TwitterSam Darnold Still not Practicing
Sam Darnold is not practicing as Jets return from bye week. We shall see how this plays out throughout the week, but the Jets could be in line for another Josh McCown start in week 12 against the Patriots.
As reported by: Al Iannazzone TwitterJosh Allen on Track to Start Next Game
Allen will be a full participant in practice today and looks ready to get back on the field for the Bills. It looks like the Bills will waive Nathan Peterman to make room for this addition to the active roster. Thus ends the joyous ability to stream defenses against Peterman.
As reported by: Mike Rodak TwitterJakeem Grant Out for the Season
Jakeem Grant is done for this season with his lower leg injury which will require surgery. The Dolphins anticipate that he will be healthy and ready to contribute to start the 2019 season.
As reported by: Adam Beasley TwitterAntonio Gates (knee) will play Sunday for Chargers
Antonio Gates will be active Sunday for the Chargers despite not practicing this week due to a knee injury. Gates has a limited role in the Chargers offense regardless, splitting reps at the tight end position with fellow TE Virgil Green. Expectations for Gates are low against a Denver defense that has been better of late at pressuring the quarterback.
