C.J. Anderson returns to practice on Thursday
The Panthers running back should be good to go on Sunday after missing practice yesterday with an illness. Anderson has little more than handcuff value, but will continue to siphon away touches from Christian McCaffrey. The former Broncos back earned just three fewer carries than McCaffrey last week and should see a handful of touches against Atlanta.

Continuing his early-career streak of smashing as a featured player, JuJu posted 119 receiving yards in Week 1, 74 of it after the catch. He’s now five-for-five (at least 19 DK points each game) when a key player has missed time (Martavis Bryant’s one-game suspension, Antonio Brown’s calf injury were the big two in 2017). Pittsburgh’s highly-concentrated offense otherwise limited his breakout in 2017. Brown and James Conner will rightfully draw the headlines heading into a high-total game against a beatable Kansas City defense, but JuJu has the ability to steal the show.
True Bell-Cow
McCaffrey had five receptions each time these teams played last season and now gets to face the Falcons sans their best LB in Deion Jones and with an increased workload on the ground. McCaffrey should see 20+ touches in this one and still isn’t priced like the true bell-cow that he is.
DeVante Parker is at practice.
Reports are saying he is running routes and catching passes but he still has his broken fingers taped and in a glove. Parker’s presence diminishes the value of Kenny Stills slightly.

The Jags will test his hamstring on Friday. If he cannot go then we will get a decent value play in TJ Yeldon this week. Yeldon has shown to be an adequate pass catcher and runner for this team.

Friday will tell us a better story for the availability of Aaron Rodgers this week.

Too often the discussion surrounding Minnesota WRs treats things as a zero-sum situation, rather than acknowledging both Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are great players. Thielen out-targeted Diggs 12 to 6 in Week 1, but in Week 2 Thielen draws rookie Jaire Alexander, who looks like Green Bay’s best cornerback, in the slot. Diggs, meanwhile, is coming off a ho-hum 3-43-1 line, all of which was posted in the first half before getting shut out in plus game script after the break. He might be a little under the radar heading into a Week 2 matchup that sets up perfectly for him.
Top Wideout, Poor Secondary
It seems relevant to post AB’s splits with Big Ben and without Le’Veon Bell here once again. Including last week, totaling 14 games, AB averages 13.9 targets, 9.6 receptions, 131.6 yards, 0.86 TDs and 28.1 DK pts (bonus pts not included). AB was relatively silent in Week 1 with a nine catch, 93 yard and one touchdown performance as he only put up 24.3 DK pts. The Steelers get an even better matchup in Week 2 and possibly more importantly, better weather to play in. Despite a handful of drops from the Chargers receivers, the Chiefs secondary still allowed Rivers to hang a 424/3 performance on them in Week 1. This Chiefs secondary is not good, with their only solid cover corner, Kendall Fuller, spending most of his time in the slot. Brown only ran 21% of his Week 1 snaps in the slot and the Steelers are smart enough to move him around enough to take advantage of terrible cover corners Orlando Scandrick and Steven Nelson on the outside.
Aaron Rodgers' Week 2 status still up in the air
The QB didn’t confirm whether he would play on Sunday versus the Vikings but remained optimistic about his chances in today’s press conference. It does seem more likely he’ll play, as he excelled through the knee injury in the 2nd half of Sunday night’s win over the Bears. However, his fantasy production could be capped by his inability to use his legs and move around the pocket at a high level. This, combined with the Vikings having limited Rodgers’ ceiling in recent meetings might make him worth avoiding in Week 2 at his premium price across sites.
As reported by: ESPNWR Corey Davis (hamstring) limited Wednesday
The wideout emerged as a top option for the Titans last week with 6 receptions on 13 targets, while the team’s other wide receivers combined for a single catch. Davis stands to benefit even more from the Titans loss of TE Delanie Walker, who looked to be his top competition for targets this season. A plus matchup versus a suspect Texans secondary is on tap as well in Week 2, so Davis’ status should be monitored as we get closer to Sunday.
As reported by: Jim WyattThis Team's Offense and Defense are both in play this weekend
The Redskins had a surprisingly strong showing in the opening week of the season, with QB Alex Smith passing for 255 yards and two touchdowns, and the defense only allowing 6 points to Arizona in the road win. This week the Redskins face the Colts in their home opener, and they are 6-point favorites against an Indy defense that allowed the 5th-most passing yards per game last season. The Colts Offensive Line allowed the 6th-most QB hits both last week and last season, putting the Redskins Defense solidly in play as an underpriced unit, and Alex Smith and the Redskins passing game appear to be bargains as home favorites this week as well.

The Texans’ WR2 was a limited participant on Wednesday and will look to return to full participation in practice later this week. However, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle does expect Fuller to play in Week 2. The Texans struggled to move the ball against the Patriots last weekend so his return would be a boost to the offense as a downfield threat, particularly in opening things up for QB Deshaun Watson and WR Deandre Hopkins. Also helpful, will be a more beatable Titans secondary the passing group faces this week.
As reported by: Aaron WilsonRex Burkhead not practicing Wednesday due to concussion
The Patriots back has been placed in the concussion protocol, a surprising development as he was not evaluated in Sunday’s game. His status should now be monitored closely ahead of Week 2’s matchup against Jacksonville, along with that of fellow RB Sony Michel who remains limited in practice. If both are unable to go, RB James White, who is already benefiting from the absence of WR Julian Edelman, would likely see heavy usage in Week 2.

The Jets wideout looks likely to return Week 2 where he should join Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa in 3-WR sets. While the extent of Kearse’ role remains to be seen, WR Quincy Enunwa emerged as rookie Sam Darnold’s favorite target on Monday night running mainly short to intermediate routes, which should continue to make him the most utilized receiver against the Dolphins Sunday.

The Saints Defense had a less-than-stellar opening weekend, allowing 417 passing yards and four passing touchdowns to Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bucs. This week the Saints welcome the Cleveland Browns to the Superdome, and with the Browns available at their usual discounted prices, they could put up big points for a cheap cost this Sunday. QB Tyrod Taylor is consistently overlooked despite his ability to gather points through the air and on the ground, putting up 197 passing yards and a passing TD along with 77 rushing yards and a rushing TD last week, good for the sixth-highest QB score on the weekend. A unique stacking opportunity would be to pair Taylor with pass-catching RB Duke Johnson, who was targeted six times last week in the passing game and is available at cheap prices across sites this week.
