The Jets backfield will be at full strength this week in terms of available players, and can now safely be avoided in terms of our DFS rosters. Banged up all week, both McGuire and Forte are active and should see their normal rolls in the offense this week.

Cameron Brate active today
With DeSean Jackson and O.J. Howard out this week for the Buccaneers, the team will need all available pass catchers in a tough matchup vs the Panthers. Listed as questionable all week, Cameron Brate will give it a go on Sunday and should be considered as viable salary relief option at tight end.
James White and Chris Hogan are inactive
As expected the Patriots will be without a few key pieces in the offense this week vs the Bills. In addition to missing Rex Burkhead, the team will be without James White and Chris Hogan. For a team that embraces the next up mentality, we should look for the team to pick up the slack and not just one person. Mike Gillisiee will be active for the first time in quite some time and should get short yardage and goal-line work. All of the available pass catchers for New England should be in play this week, and booth Brandin Cooks and Rob Gronkowski figure to be high celling plays in this explosive offense.

Perine tweaked his groin during the early part of practice Thursday, and there was some concern that he would miss this game. With his team extremely thin at running back, Perine will suit and play despite his injury. The matchup is not great for the Redskins this week, but if Perine was to sit then Kapri Bibbs usage in the offense would add to his appeal as a cheap source of salary relief.

Thomas was added to the injury report Saturday, but he’ll suit up for a key Week 16 matchup vs the Falcons. Thomas was able to warm up prior to the game and appears ready to go in what could be one of the more exciting games this weekend. Thomas has one of the highest floors of any wide receivers on this slate and should be considered a good play now that he is active.

The Broncos quarterback situation has been in shamble all season, and this week the team will rely on its third-string option Brock Osweiler in a matchup vs the Redskins. Paxton Lynch isn’t healthy enough to start after a limited week of practice. Osweiler is coming off one of his better games in Week 15 but at this point should be considered for only desperate roster decisions.

Parker did not practice all week, but the team expects him to play this week vs the Chiefs. Parker had a monster week last week, but for the most part has been a disappointment this season. His low price across the industry makes him a great boom or bust play in GPP’s.

Ekeler’s versatility in special teams will allow him to suit up and play in Week 16. He will have a cast on his hand, so Brandon Oliver will step in as a backup to Melvin Gordon. The Chargers offense is set up to have a big day vs The Jets, and Gordon should be inline for all the work he can handle in Week 16.

Benjamin looks on track to play this week, but he is less than 100 percent. This is a must-win game for the Bills, so Benjamin will suit up and play with an injury that will require surgery in the offseason.The team will be without both Andre Holmes and Jordan Matthews this Sunday vs the Patriots so Benjamin will continue to play with Zay Jones and Deonte Thompson as the team’s only healthy wideouts.

Midweek injuries are never a good thing, and Samaje Perine’s hurt groin has this thin Washington backfield trending towards being down another player in week 16. With the Redskins eliminated, there’s little reason for Perine to risk further injury in a relatively meaningless game and it looks like the team could take an extended look at Kapri Bibbs. The Broncos have a tough run defense, but Bibbs provides appeal due to his low price and potential workload.

Even though Hurns made his way back to the practice field for the first time in over a month, he is still not expected play this week vs the 49’s. The Jaguars called up Jalen Strong from the practice squad, all but signaling that Hurns will sit this weekend. Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole will see larger Week 16 roles and make for great plays in all formats.

Sanders did not travel with the team and has officially been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Washington Redskins after previously being listed as questionable on the Denver Broncos’ injury report with an ankle injury, while Cody Latimer also didn’t travel and has been ruled out with a thigh injury. Their absences will likely open up some additional snaps for Bennie Fowler on the outside and in the slot, but he has failed to exceed 55 yards in a game this season. Not only that, but the Broncos will have a less than ideal situation at quarterback, as they have most of the year, with Brock Osweiler expected to start under center, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and Paxton Lynch remaining on the bench for at least one more week. Demaryius Thomas is at a reasonable price tag across the industry and should see his target share increase sans Sanders, but he’ll have to overcome poor quarterback play and a difficult matchup with the Redskins 11th-ranked pass defense DVOA to provide value in daily fantasy formats.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (hamstring) downgraded to questionable for Sunday
Thomas has been added to the New Orleans Saints’ injury report and is officially listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Atlanta Falcons due to a hamstring injury. A late addition to the injury report is never a positive sign for a player’s availability come Sunday, and to make matters worse, it’s a soft tissue injury to the lower body, something that typically has proven to hinder the performance of skill-position players if they’re able to suit up. This news is unfortunate because Thomas is in a prime position to put together a solid fantasy performance in a matchup with the Falcons defense and has averaged nearly 11 targets per game over the last six weeks. So clearly, the status and health of Thomas will be one of the key situations to monitor as lineup lock approaches.

Maclin is officially inactive for today’s game against the Indianapolis Colts after previously being listed as doubtful on the Baltimore Ravens’ injury report and considered a game-time decision, according to head coach John Harbaugh, with a knee injury. The Ravens passing game and Joe Flacco have been anything but consistent this season, but they’ve been trending upwards of late and draw a dream matchup with the Colts 30th-ranked pass defense DVOA this afternoon. Maclin’s absence should funnel a couple extra targets Mike Wallace’s way, but Maclin has been the beneficiary of five or more targets in just five total games this season. Additionally, look for slot wide receiver Michael Campanaro to see a nice bump in usage and is an intriguing salary-saving option in tournaments on Saturday’s minuscle two-game slate.

If you’re looking for value at TE this week, consider taking future hall of famer Antonio Gates, who will be thrust into a larger role on offense following the injury to Hunter Henry. A matchup against a stingy New York Jets TE defense may seem risky, but they have struggled against every elite TE they have faced this season. Gates may not be the elite tight end he once was at the ripe age of 37, but he will still play a large role in LA’s passing game, making him a solid punt option industry wide as one of Philip Rivers’ most reliable red zone threats.
