Falcons offense at full strength for important Week 16 game
The Falcons offense will be at full strength in perhaps the biggest game of the season. As the team prepares to play the Saints on Sunday they announced that both Tevin Coleman and Julio Jones will suit up and play in this crucial playoff deciding game. Jones did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but as expected he is at practice today and will be ready to go on Sunday. Coleman is back after missing time with a concussion and should be inline to steal some of the workload away from Devonta Freeman. In Coleman’s absence last week Freeman had 194 total yards on 27 touches Monday night in a win vs the Buccaneers. WIth Coleman now on track to play vs the Saints this weekend Freeman would resume his role in a running back committee. In games without Coleman, Freeman is averaging almost 8 more DraftKings points per game.

Parker sat out Wednesday and Thursday, but will practice on Friday and should play Sunday. Parker came to life last week with a seasons best 89 yards against Buffalo, but for the most part has been a bust this season. At this point, Parker should be considered a thin GPP play at best.
Emmanuel Sanders back at practice on Friday
Sanders has battled this injured ankle for the better part of the last month. It’s affected his performance in some games and caused him to leave others early. The combination of his injury and the potential of having Paxton Lynch as a starting QB literally makes Sanders have a floor of zero. Like many of his fellow Broncos, the last two weeks of the season can’t move fast enough. Sanders practiced on Friday, but he is clearly not at 100 % and even if healthy is a reach in terms of a roster spot the last two weeks of the season. The quarterback situation in Denver makes any player on this roster a dismal choice for final two weeks of the season.
Both Elijah McGuire and Matt Forte are questionable for Sunday but expected to play
Both Elijah McGuire ( illness) and Matt Forte (knee) are listed as questionable on the injury report but are expected to play Sunday against the Chargers. The only real interest in playing anyone in this backfield would occur if both McGuire and Forte were to both unable to suit up on Sunday. If both players were to miss then Bilal Powell would become a very good source of value on Christmas Eve. Forte has missed multiple days of practice this year during the week and has still been able to suit up and play.

Perine was forced out practice early on Thursday with a groin injury and the team announced today that he will not practice on Friday. Coach Gruden hinted that the injury could be minor but he’s uncertain about Perine’s status for Sunday. Kapri Bibbs and LeShun Daniels would fill in if Perine is unavailable for Week 16.

Even the face of injuries the Jacksonville Jaguars displayed an exceptional offensive outburst in week 15. Already missing starting running back Leonard Fournette and starting wide receiver Allen Hurns, the team lost leading pass catcher Marquise Lee early in the game. This did not stop Blake Bortles and the Jaguars offense from putting up a 45 spot on the Texans. The team announced on Friday that Lee miss this week, and Hurns is questionable ahead of Sunday’s game. Even if Hurns plays you would have to think that Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole should be featured in the offense this week, and both make for great plays over the final two weeks of the season. Lee should be back for the playoffs and remains a valuable piece of the team moving forward.
Other tagged players: Allen HurnsDevin Funchess and Russell Shepard back at practice
Coming off the heels of a big win last Sunday, the Panthers get two starting wide receivers back in practice on Friday. Funchess aggravated a troublesome shoulder last week but is expected to suit up Sunday. Shepard is also dealing with a shoulder and prior to today, it was unclear if he would play. The emergence of Greg Olsen in the offense takes appeal away from both players if they are healthy. Olsen had a monster day this last week, and if he can stay on the field look for him to once again be the favorite target of Cam Newton. Damiere Byrd’s value will decrease significantly if both Shepard and Funchess play.

Jackson missed the majority of Monday night’s game with what looked like to be a pretty bad ankle injury, and it looks like he did not practice again Friday. Jackson was spotted using crutches after the game, so his chances of playing this weekend remain highly questionable. Unless we get another Kyle Randolph situation from last week, Jackson should most likely miss this week’s game. If Jackson is unable to go then Chris Godwin would look to get a few more snaps and could possibly open up some value as a cheap wide receiver-punt option. In week 10 where he filled in for Mike Evans, Godwin was able to convert 10 targets into 5 catches and 68 yards. With O.J. Howard on the IR, the Buccaneers will need Cameron Brate to fill in and take a bigger role in the offense. Brate is banged up a little this week so there is a chance he plays at less than 100%.
Buffalo down offensive players in Week 16
The Bills will be without both Andre Holmes and Jordan Matthews this Sunday vs the Patriots. Kelvin Benjamin (knee, questionable) if healthy will continue to play with Zay Jones and Deonte Thompson as the team’s only healthy wide outs. Benjamin will be limited in practice again on Friday, but it looks like he will try to play through his meniscus injury. It’s hard to find great value in any of these pass catchers for the Bills, but the injury opportunities open up playing time for both Jones and Thompson who should figure into the mix next season.

Having been eliminated for playoff contention the Green Bay Packers could look to play it safe with injured players over the next two weeks. The team tagged Davon House and Clay Matthews as questionable for Saturday and OLB Nick Perry as Doubtful. The already easy to attack defense just got a little easier to pick on, thus setting up a dream matchup for Case Keenum and the Vikings pass game.
Nice Pivot off of a Popular Tight End
The common strategy at tight end this week is going to be to pay up for Rob Gronkowski or to find a value play and hope for a touchdown. My favorite tight end has a dream matchup against the Dolphins and will potentially be under-owned. Miami is ranked 28th in DVOA against tight ends. Travis Kelce is primed for a breakout game, assuming he’s able to suit up (he sat out Thursday’s practice).
Emmanuel Sanders misses another practice
Sanders has battled this injured ankle for the better part of the last month. It’s affected his performance in some games and caused him to leave others early. The combination of his injury and the potential of having Paxton Lynch as a starting QB literally makes Sanders have a floor of zero. Like many of his fellow Broncos, the last two weeks of the season can’t move fast enough. Sanders is officially questionable for Sunday’s game, and even if healthy is a reach in terms of a roster spot the last two weeks of the season.
Yes, a Well-Rested Running Back in Week 16
Le’Veon Bell is not in the main slate, so most people will gravitate to Todd Gurley if paying up at running back. While Gurley is a fine play in his own right, Ezekiel Elliott sticks out like a sore thumb. He is well rested coming off his suspension, the Cowboys are in a must-win situation, and he draws an exploitable matchup against a banged up Seahawks’ defense. We all saw what Gurley was able to do against the Seahawks last week and that was in Seattle. This game is being played indoors in Dallas.
Favorite Wide Receiver to Pay Up for
Keenan Allen has racked up at least 100 receiving yards in four of his last five games and has scored four touchdowns during that stretch. The targets should continue to funnel his way this week against the Jets. Not only do they have a beatable secondary, but Hunter Henry has been placed on season-ending IR. There’s a chance that the Chargers run away with this game, but Allen has been has been game flow independent for over a month now.
Samaje Perine tweaked his groin during practice and is questionable for Sunday
Perine was forced out practice early on Thursday with a groin injury. Coach Gruden hinted that the injury could be minor but he’s uncertain about Perine’s status for Sunday.Kapri Bibbs and LeShun Daniels would fill in if Perine is unavailable for Week 16.
