Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Friday, July 13th

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option
Dallas Keuchel (FD Price $9,000)

Keuchel has started to throw better, yielding two earned runs or less in four of his last five starts and allowing just a .246 wOBA in July. He’ll face a Detroit offense that hasn’t hit much of late, producing just a .292 wOBA over the past two weeks and a 22.9 K%.
Hitting Options
C/1B) Justin Smoak, Toronto Blue Jays (FD Price $3,700)
He’s swinging a hot bat in July (.453 wOBA) and for the season he’s done his best work against RHP on the road (.387 wOBA). Opposing starter Rick Porcello has been the least effective against LHB at home (.365 wOBA).
2B) Asdrubal Cabrera, New York Mets (FD Price $3,000)
Cabrera has been one of the few bright spots for the Mets and the switch-hitter is most effective as a LHB posting a .368 wOBA, including 13 of his 17 home runs. His July wOBA is .470. Opposing starter Tanner Roark has been ugly in two July starts (.458 wOBA).
3B) Matt Carpenter, St. Louis Cardinals (FD Price $3,300)
Carpenter is a .381 wOBA against RHP this season even after a start that saw him with a .140 batting average as late as May 15. He posted a .435 wOBA in June and .427 wOBA so far in July. Carpenter goes up against Matt Harvey, who has pitched better the last few times out, but still allows LHB a .356 wOBA.
SS) Addison Russell, Chicago Cubs (FD Price $3,100)
Russell has produced his best work against LHP (.364 wOBA) and has been equally productive on the road (.365 wOBA) or in Wrigley Field (.363 wOBA). Starter Clayton Richard has not been sharp in two July starts, yielding a .392 wOBA.
OF) Shin-Soo Choo, Texas Rangers (FD Price $3,300)
Choo extended his franchise-record on-base streak to 48 games on Tuesday, before resting Wednesday and Thursday. He owns a .388 wOBA this season, a .411 wOBA against all right-handers and a .424 wOBA against RHP on the road.
OF) Brett Gardner, New York Yankees (FD Price $3,100)
Gardner has produced a solid .342 wOBA against RHP and owns a .399 wOBA in July with four of his nine home runs in the last two weeks. He faces Indians RHP Shane Bieber, who can’t get out LHB (.583 SLG, .422 wOBA).
OF) Christian Yelich, Milwaukee Brewers (FD Price $3,900)
Yelich has produced a .365 wOBA against RHP while opposing starter Nick Kingham allows LHB a .350 wOBA.
UTIL) Curtis Granderson, Toronto Blue Jays (FD Price $2,600)
The one thing Granderson can still do is hit the long ball against RHP. He has produced all nine of his home runs and a .357 wOBA against right-handers.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
New York Yankees

Like everything in New York, the Yankees are expensive to own, but if you can avoid the really high-priced ticket items (Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton) you could put together four lefties (Gardner, Aaron Hicks, Greg Bird and Didi Gregorius) to go up against Bieber.
