Elfrid Payton out Saturday
Elfrid Payton will miss his second straight game Saturday because of an elbow injury. CJ. Watson is an excellent value play with Payton and Brandon Jennings out. He should get all the minutes he can handle tonight. Last night against the Kings, Watson played 34 minutes and finished with 24 FD points. He is just $3,600 on FD and $3,400 on DK.

Brandon Jennings out Saturday
Brandon Jennings won’t play Saturday because of an Achilles injury. Elfrid Payton is currently a game-time decision. If Payton doesn’t play, C.J. Watson should get all the minutes he can handle. Watson would be an elite value play. Shabazz Napier will also see some more minutes of the bench.

Nikola Vucevic will miss his fourth straight game Saturday with a groin injury. With Vucevic out of the lineup, Dewayne Dedmon and Jason Smith will split the minutes at center. Last night, Dedmon earned the start. He played 25 minutes against the Kings and finished with 19 FD points. He is just $3,600 on FD and the minimum on DK. Smith played 23 minutes last night and finished with 32 FD points. He is $3,900 on DK and the minimum on FD. Dedmon and Smith are GPP punt plays only.

Andre Iguodala will miss Saturday’s game after leaving last night’s game with an ankle injury. He will be out for at least two weeks. No one player benefits from Iguodala being out. Harrison Barnes will see some more minutes. Ian Clark and Brandon Rush will also see some more minutes off the bench, but both aren’t DFS options.

Andre Roberson will start on Saturday against the Spurs despite leaving last night’s game early with an ankle injury. Roberson isn’t a DFS option tonight. Randy Foye and Anthony Morrow lose their value with Roberson playing tonight.

It sounded like Bradley Beal would play tonight, but he will miss his third straight game Saturday with a pelvis injury. Alan Anderson won’t play tonight because of an ankle injury. Ramon Sessions, Garrett Temple and Marcus Thornton should all see some extra minutes tonight. None are DFS options tonight, because it’s tough to predict how the minutes will breakdown between the three of them.

It was reported by Chris Vivlamore that P. J. Hairston was starting ahead of Matt Barnes on Saturday, but the Grizzlies made a late lineup change and Barnes will start after all. Barnes, Lance Stephenson, JaMychal Green, and Tony Allen are all elite plays tonight against the Hawks.

Brandon Knight is expected to return to the starting lineup tonight against the Warriors. Knight missed a long period of time with an injury. Last night was his first game back. He played 25 minutes off the bench and finished with 19 FD points. He isn’t a DFS option tonight.

James Johnson will start for the Raptors Saturday against the Heat. Norman Powell will head to the bench. This news has no fantasy impact; Johnson hasn’t been a DFS target for a long time.

Justise Winslow will start for the injured Dwyane Wade on Saturday. He is a GPP punt play only tonight. Josh Richardson is the better value play, even though he is coming off the bench. He played 32 minutes last night against Chicago and finished with 32 FD points. He is just $3,700 on FD and $3,600 on DK.

Vince Carter is considered doubtful for tonight’s game against the Hawks. Carter left last night’s game with a leg injury. This news secures the minutes for Lance Stephenson and Matt Barnes. Both are elite value plays tonight. Last night, Stephenson played 38 minutes and finished with 52 FD points. Barnes played 44 minutes and finished with 58 FD points.

Before we get into how Barnes is a great play, I don’t believe there is any way he gets another triple-double again in this match up vs. the Hawks or really even comes close. Last night was Matt Barnes’ first triple-double in his thirteen-year career and the likelihood of that happening in back to back games is, well, virtually zero percent. However, while it seems like we are chasing points here, Barnes is still way too cheap for the production he will continue to see until some of the Grizzlies return to action. Mike Conley, Zach Randolph, Chris Andersen, Brandan Wright, and Marc Gasol are all out, Mario Chalmers was released, and Vince Carter is questionable tonight. That leaves the Grizzlies with exactly eight healthy bodies and somehow they are going to have to score at least 90 points or so. Lance Stephenson had a career night last night with 33 real-life points, and while he is also a great option we don’t expect him to have that big of a performance again either. Hopefully some of those points can gravitate over to Barnes and we should be in good shape. We can likely pencil Barnes in for 40 minutes and at his price of $4,800 on FD and $5,300 on DK, he is a great candidate to reach value for an extremely undermanned Grizzlies squad.
Jrue Holiday will play limited minutes Saturday, Luke Babbitt will start for him
After playing over 40 minutes last night Jrue Holiday will be on a minute’s restriction on Saturday. He will also come off the bench tonight. With this news Holiday is no longer a DFS option. Luke Babbitt will start in his place, but he isn’t a DFS option. Anthony Davis and Tony Douglas are the elite options for the Pelicans tonight.

Norris Cole will miss his third straight game Saturday with a back injury. With Cole out and Jrue Holiday playing limited minutes tonight, Tony Douglas becomes an elite value play. Last night against Memphis, Douglas played 42 minutes and finished with 32 FD points. Douglas is just $3,700 on DK and $3,600 on FD.
As reported by: John Reid Devin Booker is a great option at SG in a high-scoring shootout
We have seen a bit of a resurgence in Devin Booker lately as he has been putting up some pretty big numbers. This whole season has really been something like a train wreck for the Suns, but the silver lining is the flashes of some of their young players like Booker. Earlier in the year he was consistently putting up 25-30 DK points, and while his outputs have become a little more variant over the last month, he looks to be returning to midseason form. A lot of it has to do with his spike in playing time as the Suns went through a stretch where Booker wouldn’t see more than 30 minutes. In his last seven games he is averaging 39 minutes per game and has played at least 43 minutes in two of their last three. His minutes are trending up, and in turn so are his fantasy points. He gets a good match up with the Warriors and this should be an extremely up-tempo game with plenty of points to go around. The Warriors are 25th in DvP vs. opposing SGs in the last seven games and Booker thrives in these up-tempo games. We shouldn’t worry too much about a blowout because Booker will likely be in there 35+ minutes regardless of the score and is a great option at SG vs. the Warriors.
