Jay Cutler

Jay Cutler (shoulder) may be done for season

It’s not yet clear what the injury is specifically, but the Bears are reportedly considering season-ending surgery for their starting quarterback. Matt Barkley would become Chicago’s QB in that scenario, which makes the Titans’ defense a very appealing target in Week 12. They’ll be without the suspended Alshon Jeffery and injured Zach Miller, so he won’t have many receiving options to throw to. Barkley was very bad against the Packers when he came in for Brian Hoyer, throwing two interceptions and zero touchdowns on 16 dropbacks.

C.J. Prosise (scapula) will miss remainder of regular season

Prosise suffered a fractured scapula against the Eagles on Sunday. Ian Rapoport reported that the best-case scenario has him back for the playoffs. Thomas Rawls will become Seattle’s workhorse back going forward. He’ll face a tough Tampa Bay rush defense in Week 12. Rawls was “banged up” on Sunday, according to Pete Carroll, but he should be fine. Given his expected volume, he’s going to be one of the better running back options this weekend.

Christine Michael expected to play Sunday

Coach Mike McCarthy said he wants Michael to be part of the offense this week. It’s not yet clear how big his role will be against the Eagles; it will depend on how he performs in practice. Despite Philadelphia ranking 11th in rush DVOA heading into Week 11, Seattle rushed for 152 yards as a team on 30 attempts. We’ll learn more about Michael’s expected workload later in the week.

Travis Benjamin

San Francisco 49ers

Travis Benjamin returns to practice Monday

Benjamin has been hobbled by a PCL sprain the past several weeks, but took advantage of San Diego’s bye to get healthy. He remains questionable for Week 12, but should be able to play. The Chargers visit Houston on Sunday, who rank 11th in pass DVOA. Currently, the game is a pick’em with a total of 45.5 points, which is a little low for a Chargers game. It’s probably not a great spot to target Benjamin considering the matchup and his injury, but it’ll be worth monitoring him this week.

Tevin Coleman returns to practice Monday, expected to play Sunday

Barrin a setback, Coleman (hamstring) will suit up for the Falcons on Sunday. It’s a tough matchup for him as they’ll face the Cardinals, who boast one of the best rushing defenses in the league. There’s a chance he’ll be limited, but he had an extra time to rehab during their bye. Even if he is, he’ll cut into Devonta Freeman’s workload. We’ll learn more as Coleman progresses through practice over the course of the week.

Giovani Bernard

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Giovani Bernard has torn ACL, out for season

In another major blow to the Bengals offense, Bernard will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL on Sunday. Jeremy Hill will see a big bump in usage going forward. Rex Burkhead will come in for some passing down work, but he won’t get near the same workload that Bernard had this season. Hill is still priced like he’s in a timeshare, so he can be rostered for a discount. Unfortunately, they play the Ravens, who have the best rush DVOA in the league. On Sunday, they held Ezekiel Elliot to his lowest yards per carry (3.9) since Week 1.

A.J. Green

Arizona Cardinals

A.J. Green ruled out for Week 12

Coach Marvin Lewis said Green (hamstring) was moving “better than expected.” Fortunately, it’s a not a severe tear and surgery will not be required. He’s considered week-to-week, but should miss at least two or three games. Brandon LaFell led the team in targets (9) after Green exited on Sunday. He should be the primary wide receiver and Tyler Eifert should get plenty of work as well. They have a tough matchup in Week 12 when they face the Ravens, who rank 6th in pass DVOA.

Ryan Fitzpatrick to start for Jets this week

Jets Head Coach Todd Bowles told the media this morning that Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at QB this week when New York takes on the Patriots. Fitzpatrick is an inconsistent, turnover prone QB that should be avoided in all formats. The Patriots defense is in play as an option.

Robert Woods suffered a knee sprain this past weekend

The Bills current #1 WR suffered a knee sprain and could potentially miss some time for an already thin WR corps. Percy Harvin could see a bigger role along with current starter Marquise Goodwin and Justin Hunter. We’ll learn more later this week as the team moves into the weekend.

Christine Michael INACTIVE for Packers

He’s not ready to suit up for Green Bay yet. James Starks will be the feature back ahead of Ty Montgomery. He had 44 yards and a touchdown on ten touches last week against the Titans. Washington ranks 30th in rush DVOA, which means he’ll have an easier time running the ball this time around. Last week was also his first game back since undergoing knee surgery, so he should be less limited tonight. He’s a solid receiver out of the backfield and game flow should provide him a good number of targets; the Packers are three-point underdogs in a game with a 48.5-point total.

DeSean Jackson

Baltimore Ravens
11/20/16, 8:29 PM ET

DeSean Jackson active, Matt Jones inactive for Sunday night

Jones is a healthy scratch, which leaves Rob Kelley as Washington’s lead back once again. Last week he had 95 total yards on 23 touches, and could see a similar volume tonight against the Packers. However, there’s the potential this one turns into a shootout, in which case Chris Thompson would pick up more snaps. DeSean Jackson will see either Quentin Rollins or Micah Hyde on roughly three quarters of his snaps. Both corners have below-average 58.8 PFF grades. He’s a pure boom-or-bust option, but it’s a one of the better spots he’ll get this season. The game total has dropped from 51 amid weather concerns, but it’s still at 48.5 points, so there should be plenty of scoring.

Martellus Bennett

New England Patriots
11/20/16, 4:14 PM ET

No surprises ahead of afternoon games

Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills are active for the Dolphins, and Todd Gurley is active for the Rams. That game’s total has dropped to 38.5, so there isn’t a ton of offense expected in Los Angeles. In Seattle, Thomas Rawls is active, but will serve as C.J. Prosise’s backup in a limited role. Coach Pete Carroll said he isn’t afraid to cut Rawls loose, so if he gets the hot hand he could carve out a bigger workload than expected. On the Eagles’ side, Zach Ertz and Jordan Matthews are both active. Seattle hasn’t allowed many fantasy points to tight ends, but they haven’t faced any great ones yet this season outside of the Patriots’ duo. Bennett and Gronk combined for 10 receptions and 158 yards. Without many receiving options, quarterback Carson Wentz should target Ertz quite a bit. In San Francisco, Torrey Smith is out; look for Quinton Patton to pick up a healthy number of looks from Kap today. Julian Edelman, Martellus Bennett, and Dion Lewis are all active for New England. The have an implied team total of 31.25 points. With Gronk and Chris Hogan out, Edelman and Bennett should eat today.
