Jared Cook practicing in full pads
The Packers TE is looking as if he will return to play his former team, the Tennessee Titans, this week as he practiced in full pads a day after returning in limited fashion. There is always intriguing upside (and subsequent disappointment) with Cook and his price point and the offense he is in makes him worthy of consideration but it’s always a high-risk proposition to roster him. What little value Richard Rodgers might have had would vanish with Cooks back in action.

Doug Martin practices again; still uncertain for this week
The Tampa Bay RB is getting closer to returning to action as he practiced for the second straight day. He told local media that he still doesn’t feel 100% and the team has been taking a cautious approach with him so he’s still uncertain to play this week. If he does return he’ll likely be splitting work with Peyton Barber against the Bears as the team eases him back in making him an unattractive option for DFS purposes. Barber would be in play as a value option if Martin sits out another week.

Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn stated that TE Jacob Tamme is likely out this week. Austin Hooper will get the bulk of the work at the TE position for the team and is a value option for GPP’s. However, the match up is less than enticing as their opponent, the Eagles, are 4th in TE DVOA.

Jackson continues to miss practice and seems unlikely to play this week when the Redskins take on the Vikings. Jamison Crowder and Pierre Garcon will be the primary receiving threats along with Jordan Reed – it’s a tough match up going against a Vikings defense that is top 5 in total DVOA and pass DVOA but given the expected volume the Redskins passing game will have all three are worth a look in GPP’s.

As was the case yesterday, the Chiefs #1 WR missed practice and he continues to remain doubtful this week against the Panthers. If anything changes in this department, we’ll let you know.

It’s no reason for concern yet as Stewart typically misses a practice or two – we’ll keep an eye on his status after tomorrow’s practice though and report back. He’s in position for a solid game facing a Chiefs defense that is bottom 10 in the league in RB Rush DVOA.

The Giants WR will most likely continue to get treatment today and tomorrow on his injured ankle and the team will make a decision on Saturday in advance of their Monday Night game against the Bengals.

The veteran Jets signal caller looks as if he will be good to go for their game against the Rams this week although his hold on the position is tenuous to say the least. Bryce Petty could get in at the first sign of trouble making Fitzpatrick a huge risk as a DFS option.

It’s the first step for Hurns in clearing the league concussion protocol. His status for the Jaguars game against the Texans is still up in the air. Regardless of whether he goes or not he’s not an attractive DFS option as Houston is top 8 in pass DVOA and WR2 DVOA.

This isn’t surprising as the rookie Ravens RB has practiced all week. He has a juicy match up with the Browns (31st in RB Rush DVOA) but he’ll be splitting work with Terrance West which makes it hard to use him for DFS purposes in all but a GPP flyer or two.

The 49ers won’t determine their starting RB’s status until Saturday after their last practice of the week. He’s missed the last two games and DuJuan Harris would be in line for another start if Hyde can’t go. Neither are particularly attractive DFS options as huge dogs to an Arizona team that is 4th in overall DVOA and 10th in RB Rush DVOA.

This is a good sign for Cobb (hamstring), his snap count should go back to normal this weekend against the Titans. It’s a nice matchup for him, as the Titans rank 27th in pass DVOA, and 22nd against WR2s specifically. James Starks may play this weekend, which may allow the Packers to be less pass-heavy, but it would still be his first week back. Green Bay will likely pass quite a bit, and Cobb should get plenty of targets.

DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry both miss practice Wednesday
It looks like a rest day for Murray (toe) to make sure he doesn’t worsen his injury. His backup, Henry (calf) is not expected to play at this point, so they’ll need Murray to play Sunday. He has a tough matchup this weekend with Green Bay, who ranks 6th in rush DVOA. The Packers are allowing the fewest rushing yards per game (75.8) and yards per carry (3.3). Murray will get plenty of touches though, and we’re projecting him in our top ten points-per-dollar running backs on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Prosise out-snapped Christine Michael 26 to 18 in Week 9, but only had four touches. Michael had just a single rushing yard on five attempts, which has inspired coach Pete Carroll to turn to his rookie Prosise more this weekend. He should get plenty of work in the passing game, as that’s one of his specialties, and the Seahawks are 7.5-point underdogs in a matchup with the Patriots that has a 49-point total. He’ll be an interesting tournament option. It will be hard to trust Michael to be a good fantasy value.

Coach Mike Zimmer said McKinnon looked a little “gimpy” in Week 9. Minnesota used a three-man committee with McKinnon, Ronnie Hillman, and Matt Asiata. None of them were effective, rushing for a collective 62 yards on 23 attempts. McKinnon should start and have the most touches of the group, but won’t be a very strong fantasy option as the Vikings are still expected to use a committee. Plus, he’s running behind one of the worst offensive lines in football, Football Outsiders ranks them dead last in adjusted line yards per carry (3.09).
