Report: DeSean Jackson will miss Sunday's game against Vikings
CSN Mid-Atlantic is reporting the Jackson (shoulder) will not be able to play in Week 10. His target share will be spread around to Jamison Crowder, Jordan Reed, and Pierre Garcon, but Crowder will likely be the biggest beneficiary. He currently leads the team in receiving yards (498) and touchdowns (4). Of course, he’ll have a tough matchup as Minnesota has one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. They’re 4th in pass DVOA and passing yards allowed per game (206). He’ll square off with slot corner Captain Munnerlyn, who has earned a 78.2 grade from Pro Football Focus this season. Crowder’s ownership will be low as the Vikings will scare people away, but given his expected boost in volume with Jackson out, he’s worth a look as a contrarian tournament option.

DeAngelo Williams underwent knee surgery Wednesday
Williams is expected to miss at least 2-3 weeks following the procedure. He hasn’t been too involved in the offense since Le’Veon Bell returned. Bell will continue to be the workhorse back for the Steelers, and is a strong option this weekend. He ranks in our top 4 points-per-dollar running backs on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Hyde (shoulder) said that things were trending in the right direction ahead of San Francisco’s Week 10 matchup with the Cardinals. The last time these two teams met, which was in Week 5, Hyde piled up 114 total yards and a touchdown on 28 touches. If he plays, he should step right back into the workhorse role. Arizona is a tough defense, ranking 10th in rush DVOA, but Hyde will definitely be in play. Although Colin Kaepernick found success against the Saints, throwing for 398 yards and two touchdowns, he’s less likely to do so this week. Arizona ranks 3rd in pass DVOA, and Kaepernick may provide Hyde with plenty of checkdown receptions if the 49ers’ receivers have trouble getting open. Hyde should get plenty of opportunities on the ground, through the air, and in the red zone. Given his injury and matchup, he probably isn’t safe enough for cash games, but he would be a very interesting tournament option if he plays.

Los Angeles didn’t practice today, but their injury report indicates Gurley (thigh) wouldn’t have been able to go if they had. He’ll need to get in a practice tomorrow to be able to play the Jets on Sunday. If he plays, he won’t be a great option at running back this week. New York has one of the best rushing defenses in the league, and Gurley has been very ineffective all season. He’s averaging just 3.1 yards per carry over eight games.

In his only full game this season, Eifert posted a 9/102/1 line. That was against Washington, who ranks 21st in pass DVOA against the tight end, and allows 8.2 passes and 64.7 yards per game to the position. This week, he’ll face a Giants defense that is 19th in TE DVOA, but is allowing 9.0 passes, and 67.0 yards per game to the position. Eifert has another good spot, and quarterback Andy Dalton loves throwing to him in the red zone. He’s a great tight end to target this week.

If he’s able to play, he’ll be limited against the Seahawks, but it’s exciting nonetheless. The Patriots waived running back Tyler Gaffney, which is a sign that they’re ready to activate Lewis. While Lewis won’t have much fantasy value himself in a limited role, he would be taking away from James White’s passing down work. White will definitely take a downgrade in the coming weeks as Lewis gets more involved.

Gates is expected to play, and it looks like Henry will be able to suit up this weekend. They play Miami this weekend, who has been pretty good defending tight ends. They rank 10th is DVOA against the position, according to Football Outsiders. While Henry might take some targets from Gates if he plays, Gates will still be the primary tight end for San Diego. The veteran has been really involved in the offense as of late, receiving at least nine targets in each of the past three games and touchdowns in two of them. He should be a top red zone target for Rivers against Miami this weekend.

Ian Rapoport reported that Coleman (hamstring), who hasn’t played since Week 7, “could” play against the Eagles on Sunday. He was able to run on the sidelines while the rest of the team practiced Thursday, and he’ll try to get back on the field tomorrow. They visit the Eagles this weekend, who rank 11th in rush DVOA, and have allowed only four rushing touchdowns this season. If he plays, it dings the value of Devonta Freeman a bit, but doesn’t make Coleman a great play given the tough matchup and nature of his injury.

Landry (shoulder) felt off at yesterday’s practice, so he was held out as a precaution today. He’s considered day-to-day at the moment, although we’re guessing he’ll be able to play. Stills (calf) is also questionable for this weekend. Normally, if one or both of these players were to sit, DeVante Parker (hamstring) would pick up the slack, but Coach Adam Gase said Parker was limited in Week 9. He ended up with just two receptions and eight yards on four targets against the Jets last weekend, and may still be hobbled by his injury. Miami’s receiving corps’ status is up in the air at this point, and should probably be avoided in Thursday-lock lineups. Landry is the only strong option of the three, but seems to be the most questionable. Gase was non-committal on his Week 10 status, although he did express optimism. We’ll find out more when the Phins practice tomorrow.

Coach Jay Gruden told reporters that Kelley is now considered the number one running back in Washington. Matt Jones is now the backup. Unfortunately for Kelley, he faces the Vikings this weekend, which is a tough matchup for anyone. He won’t be a great fantasy option in Week 10, but he’ll be worth in a look in the coming weeks when he faces easier defenses.

Murray (toe) was limited Thursday, but he’s going to be able to play Sunday. Tennessee is just being cautious with him as Derrick Henry, who missed practice again today, is not expected to play in Week 10. He’ll face a tough rushing defense this weekend, Green Bay has allowed the fewest rushing yards per game (75.8), but Murray remains a strong fantasy play. He’ll get plenty of volume, and he’s scored a touchdown in seven of nine games this season (including two against Minnesota).

Any worries that the Tampa Bay star WR would miss this week are out the window as he has cleared the NFL concussion protocol. Evans and his 12+ targets and high red zone usage is one of the top options in DFS this week facing a Bears team that is 31st in WR DvP.

James Starks looks like a good bet to play this week
The Packers are getting healthier as RB James Starks looks as if he will play this week barring any setbacks before Sunday. With so many mouths to feed it’s going to be hard to figure out which Green Bay players to roster. Starks is not in play this week but he could be in coming weeks.

The two Chargers WRs have missed practice together in recent weeks but it was only Benjamin who didn’t practice today. He’s questionable at best to play against the Dolphins. Williams is an attractive DFS option given his red zone usage, especially if Benjamin is out, going against a Dolphins defense that struggles against WR1 (27th in DVOA).

The Packers slot WR looks good in practice and will likely have a bigger role in the Green Bay offense when they face the Tennessee Titans this week. He’s a viable option going against a Titans team that is 24th in Pass DVOA. It’s a slight hit to the value of Davante Adams and Ty Montgomery as Cobb will receive some targets that would have gone their way.
