Darrelle Revis on track to return this week
The Jets star CB appeared at their practice today with a helmet and no red jersey – a good sign as the team prepares for their game this week with the Tennessee Titans. While Revis has struggled at times this season against the likes of DeAndre Hopkins, his presence would be a downgrade for any potential Titans targets as well as Marcus Mariota.

Eddie Lacy and Mike McCarthy clear the air
Lacy was clearly in McCarthy’s dog house after missing the team’s curfew before last Thursday’s game, but things appear to be heading in Lacy’s favor. Lacy and fellow RB Alonzo Harris were both punished for curfew violations, the combination of which triggered a game-day roster shake-up. Lacy, coming off two consecutive 100-yard games, was benched for the majority of the win over the Lions, while Harris was cut a few hours before kickoff. In the two games prior, Lacy had see at least 21 touches and picked up over 100 yards on the ground in each contest, showing that he was clearly starting to get going after a slow start to the season. With Green Bay expected to control Sunday’s game with the Cowboys, look for Lacy to see somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 touches, which gives him big upside at $6,200 on FanDuel. Dallas has allowed the 7th most FPPG to opposing RBs this season.

Saints to get "a chance to see more" of C.J. Spiller
Spiller has been a major disappointment from a fantasy perspective this season, but he may finally have an opportunity to see an extended workload Sunday against the Bucs. He dealt with an injury during training camp that apparently has impacted his explosiveness, but it’s been surprising how reluctant Sean Payton has been to give Spiller more than 5-8 touches in a given week. With Mark Ingram out for the year, it’s looking very much like Spiller will handle passing down work (with some early down work sprinkled in) and Tim Hightower is likely to handle most of the early down work. This isn’t a great situation to target this week in cash games given that we don’t know how work will be distributed, and it’s also worth nothing that Tampa Bay has one of the league’s strongest run defenses. Considering New Orleans may have trouble moving the ball on the ground, Spiller (who will be more involved in the passing game) is the preferred option if you have to choose one Saints RB.

Both Johnson and Inman are very questionable at this point in the week, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see both end up as inactives come Sunday. If that’s the case, the WR core would be down to Malcom Floyd, Javontee Herndon, Tyrell Williams and Vincent Brown. Brown was just signed this week and he’s not available on some DFS outlets, but he is familiar with the Chargers system and could step into a notable role behind Malcolm Floyd, but he wouldn’t be a viable DFS target regardless. Floyd is the only real option here as a GPP target, with Antonio Gates also expected to see a decent workload considering the Chargers are expected to be trailing later in this game. The Kansas City D/ST unit is a prime target in any format this week.

It doesn’t really matter who the Patriots play, you can almost always count on Tom Brady for around 300 yards and a couple TDs. However, the Patriots are really hurting for weapons with Dion Lewis, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman out again this week vs. an improving Texans defense. Someone needs to catch the passes for New England and lately it has been Danny Amendola. Amendola was out two weeks ago because of a knee injury but returned last week and looked good catching 7 passes for 62 yards and TD. Amendola will be the top option this week on a high-powered Patriots offense and is underpriced for the workload he will be seeing. As long as he is healthy expect another 12-15 targets again for Amendola this week and is a great value play to plug into your lineups for cash or GPPs.
Mark Ingram placed on IR, will miss rest of the season
Mark Ingram has now officially been ruled out for the rest of the season. His role will be filled by a combination of C.J. Spiller and Tim Hightower, with Spiller likely to act as more of a third-down/pass catching back with Hightower handling most of the early down work. It’s possible that one of these backs could end up running away with the full-time role, but it’s still very hard to say at this point. The Saints don’t have a particularly good draw in terms of run defense this week against Tampa Bay – they’ve stifled some really good RBs and have been a surprisingly good unit throughout the year. We’ll provide updates on the expected RB rotation over the next few days.

Anderson went through stretching with the team but didn’t participate after that point. He left Sunday’s game after just 8 total touches, which left the large majority of the work to Ronnie Hillman (who saw 19 touches – all carries) with Juwan Thompson (9 total touches) acting as the backup. Anderson had been running well in the Broncos last few games and would stand to share work with Hillman if he’s able to suit up Sunday against Oakland. If Anderson isn’t able to play, Hillman would be a very solid bet for 20+ touches and would be one of the better value options available at RB.

This is some surprising news. Ingram seemed to come out of Week 13 unscathed, but there are now reports he may end up missing the rest of the season due to a shoulder ailment. If Ingram is ruled out Sunday against Tampa Bay, C.J. Spiller and Tim Hightower would presumably take over the duties at RB. It’s tough to tell who would have the upper hand in the timeshare, but Hightower may end up seeing more early down work with Spiller acting as more of a third-down/pass catcher. Either way, the match-up with Tampa Bay’s defense isn’t a good one. They stifled Devonta Freeman last week and have been playing solid run defense all year, allowing the 11th fewest FPs to the position. They’ve looked better in recent weeks than the DvP may suggest, as they are arguably one of the league’s best run stopping units.

Eifert appears to be very likely to suit up Sunday against the Steelers. He sat out last weekend and AJ Green presumably went nuts, with Marvin Jones also finding the end-zone in a game the Bengals controlled throughout. Eifert struggled in the first game between these two teams, posting just 4-39-0, but he should improve on that line against a Pittsburgh defense that has allowed the sixth most FPs to opposing TEs. We’ll provide updates on Eifert’s status as the week moves along. As it stands now, he’s a very viable GPP target with his ownership percentage likely to be held down by the fact that he didn’t play last week.

With Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware both healthy, the Chiefs are expected to continue rotating the two backs with both of them playing well. It’s a very tough situation for DFS because either one of these backs would be a prime target if they were expected to head up most of the work, but it’ll be really hard to justify using either outside of GPPs. Charcandrick West seems to have the upper hand in terms of workload, as he finished with 11 touches to Ware’s 9, but the snap breakdown between the two remains relatively even and it’s tough to predict who will have the upper hand on a week to week basis. The match-up with the Chargers couldn’t be much better, but the damage will likely be done by a combination of players.

Benjamin injured his shoulder this past Sunday and did not practice on Wednesday. The team had said earlier in the week that they didn’t expect him to miss any time, and he still has two days to get back on the field before we really start to worry about his status. The Browns are extremely thin at WR right now with Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel dealing with concussions, and they’ve gotten next to nothing from $9M man Dwayne Bowe. Brian Hartline has been a very solid PPR target in recent weeks, racking up 8, 8 and 6 receptions in his last three games. If Benjamin is forced to sit on Sunday, Hartline is a sneaky target against a San Francisco secondary that ranks towards the bottom of the league in terms of defending QBs and WRs. Benjamin himself would be an interesting tournament target with Johnny Manziel at the helm, as the two have connected on some big plays in Manziel’s few appearances. There are reports that Terrelle Pryor will see action at WR this week for the Browns, which seems to indicate that they don’t believe Hawkins or Gabriel has any real shot of playing.

Regardless of who starts at QB for the Ravens, they are going to have a very tough draw against Seattle. Schaub dealt with a variety of ailments in last week’s game and went through the league’s concussion protocol, but he’s still dealing with lingering affects of other injuries (knee, shoulder). It’s going to be nearly impossible to justify targeting any member of the Ravens offense as a core play, but Javorius Allen should continue to rack up receptions out of the backfield and is a candidate to see 15-18 carries, but Baltimore will likely have trouble staying with the run game for long. Whether it’s Schaub or Clausen, the Seattle D/ST unit is a prime DFS target in Week 14.

There are reports that Saints RB Mark Ingram is dealing with a serious shoulder injury and could be out for the season. This would be a big hit to the Saints running game and C.J. Spiller would likely be the Saints RB who would get the majority of the work with Tim Hightower also carrying some of the load. While Spiller will be in play due to his price and expected usage, he would be facing a Bucs offense that is 4th in terms of RB DvP.

The Colts current starting QB went through a full practice today and is on track to play this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s a good match up for Hasselback as the Jags are 25th in QB DvP and even better news for the likes of T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief as they won’t have to deal with Charlie Whitehurst under the helm if Hasselbeck plays.

It’s looking very much like Andre Ellington won’t be able to suit up on Thursday, which once again leaves the backfield to David Johnson. Bruce Arians has said again this week that he’d like to see Johnson with 25 touches, something he came just a carry short of reaching last week – he finished with 24 total touches and turned them into 120 yards and a touchdown. His match-up gets a bit easier against Minnesota, who has been surprisingly leaky in the run game in 2015. They’ve allowed the 10th most rushing yards to opposing RBs and if Arians is true to his word, that mark shouldn’t improve on Thursday. Johnson is going to be very tough to fade in Thursday cash games, and he’s playable in any format yet again this week. His salary is still far too low given his expected workload. With Linval Joseph, Harrison Smith and Anthony Barr all out, the Vikings defense should be taken down a few notches.
