Bears RB David Montgomery (Ankle) is Considered a Game-Time Decision Against the Rams

Montgomery, who is not on the main slate this weekend, is in danger of missing SNF. His status is one to monitor if you are late-swapping on Yahoo or Fantasy Draft or playing Showdown contests.

Texans LT Laremy Tunsil (Shoulder) is Expected to Play Today Against the Ravens

The Texans offensive line will get Tunsil back from injury, which is a significant upgrade for Deshaun Watson’s blindside. The Ravens rank 29th in sack rate, which bodes well for Watson to have time in the pocket today in Baltimore.

11/17/19, 11:31 AM ET

Jets RB Le’Veon Bell (Illness, Ribs, Knee) is Expected to Play Today

As expected, Bell will suit up today vs. the Redskins. He is not a recommended cash game option on any site this week because his workhorse role is in question. He played only 74% of the snaps last weekend after playing over 90% in the Jets’ first six games. Although the Redskins give up the eighth most FPs to RBs and are 19th in rush DVOA, Bell is nothing more than a secondary tournament option in a game between two of the NFL’s worst teams.

Jordan Howard

Eagles RB Jordan Howard is Out for Today's Game Against the Patriots

With Howard out, Miles Sanders and Boston Scott will likely lead the Eagles running game, with newly signed Jay Ajayi also factoring in the mix. Because of Sanders’ involvement in the passing game, he is an excellent tournament option with Howard out due to is expected increase in opportunity and price across the industry, despite the tough matchup against the elite Patriots D.

Matt Breida

San Francisco 49ers
11/17/19, 9:54 AM ET

49ers RB Matt Breida (Ankle) Will not Play Vs. Cardinals

As expected, the frequently-injured Breida will not play today, leaving the 49ers backfield open for increased opportunities for Tevin Coleman, Raheem Mostert, and Jeff Wilson Jr. Coleman is a solid point-per-dollar option on FanDuel and Fantasy Draft, and is projected 54% of the carries today, while Mostert is expected to get 26% of the rushes.

We know the Cardinals, who rank 21st in rush DVOA, are an excellent matchup. What makes this backfield difficult to gauge as always are #Shanahanigans, which have frustrated fantasy owners with RBs coached by Mike and Kyle Shanahan for decades. Just because Breida is out, we cannot automatically assume Coleman or Mostert are direct beneficiaries. Given his wider range of outcomes than other backs, Coleman is probably a better tournament play than cash play, especially with some of the value we have at running back this weekend.

Emmanuel Sanders

Buffalo Bills
11/17/19, 9:42 AM ET

49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (Ribs) Will Play Sunday Vs. Cardinals

We reported that the veteran wide receiver looked to be on the more probable side of questionable yesterday, and now Sanders is fully expected to play through his painful injury today against the Cardinals. Sanders did not practice at all this week, so he might not play his full compliment of snaps, making him a risky fantasy option today.

DFS players who were looking at Deebo Samuel as a value play in cash games and tournaments should adjust their rosters. Because the 49ers are banged up with TE George Kittle, RB Matt Breida, and K Robbie Gould also out, Samuel could still have a significant role today. The Cardinals, who you know hemorrhage fantasy points to every position if you have played any fantasy football this year, is a phenomenal matchup. Samuel flashed his upside last week with an 8-112 line and will see drastically lower ownership with Sanders active, making him a more interesting tournament play, especially on DraftKings, if you think Samuel still sees extra playing time.

Damien Williams

Arizona Cardinals
11/17/19, 9:17 AM ET

Chiefs RB Damien Williams is Questionable for Monday Night Vs. Chargers

Earlier we reported that Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid said Damien Williams will play, but now he is officially listed as questionable for Monday night’s game vs. the Chargers, who rank 27th in rush DVOA and allow the seventh most fantasy points to RBs.

LeSean McCoy got a taste of the NBA last week as he was a surprise healthy scratch. Damien Williams carried the load, but with KC’s top two backs not guaranteed to play, one of the more murkier backfields in the NFL got even murkier.

If you are playing Showdown slates on Monday night, some chalky value could open up with Darrel Williams if neither McCoy or Damien Williams plays. Be sure to monitor this situation and check inactives about 90 minutes before gametime in Mexico City. Premium members should “hop in the Discord” around this time, as HeadChopper and Big T will likely tell you on their Monday Night Showdown show.

Lions Sign RB Bo Scarbrough to Active Roster, Release RB Paul Perkins

The Lions have seen enough of Paul Perkins and signed Scarbrough, who could see some carries this weekend. He is a name to watch but not viable for DFS contests on Sunday.

Steelers Sign WR Deon Cain and RB Kerrith Whyte Jr. to the 53-Man Roster, Release LB Jayrone Elliot and RB Tony Brooks-James

The Steelers will try to get more out of rookies Cain and Whyte Jr. than the teams that drafted them this year as they look to add quality depth behind the injured James Conner and Juju Smith-Schuster.

D.J. Moore

Buffalo Bills
11/16/19, 4:41 PM ET

WR1 In A Good Game Environment

Moore, who is coming off two straight games with 10+ targets, has solidified himself as the clear number one target in Carolina and now finds himself in a positive matchup against the Falcons. While Samuel and CMC both steadily contribute in the passing game DJ Moore is the WR we want to roster in DFS this week.

Derrius Guice

Washington Commanders
11/16/19, 4:20 PM ET

Value RB Worthy Of A GPP Flier

Derrius Guice is returning from the IR this week for the Redskins after suffering an injury week 1. Limitations could be expected here in this one, but the Redskins have been a very run heavy team since the firing of Jay Gruden, and with Chris Thompson out, Guice could be able to carve out a nice role in this one.

Brian Hill

San Francisco 49ers
11/16/19, 4:14 PM ET

Volume Is King For This RB

While Hill is no dynamic or electric RB, volume is king in the NFL and Hill will have the backfield to himself this week in a good matchup against the Panthers, Hill saw 20 carries in last weeks game against the Saints and that was with Freeman playing most of the first half. Expect Hill to get 15-20 touches with all the goal line work in this one, and that should be plenty to pay off his cheap price tag.

Tevin Coleman

San Francisco 49ers
11/16/19, 4:05 PM ET

Mid Tier RB Benefitting From Injured Teammate

While Tevin Coleman is the starting RB for the run heavy 49ers, he gets a nice boost with Matt Breida sidelined for this game in an elite matchup against the Cardinals. Breida has had 10+ carries in every game but one so far this season, so with the some of the extra touches going to Coleman, he is far too cheap for his potential role and matchup.

Ezekiel Elliott

Los Angeles Chargers
11/16/19, 3:59 PM ET

Stud Running Back Playing Third Fiddle In Week 11

With Dalvin Cook and CMC taking up most of the ownership at RB, Elliott is poised to go overlooked in what is a decent matchup in this one. The Lions are among the best matchups for opposing RBs, who are in the top 5 of fantasy points allowed and have the 18th best run DVOA defense. With Stafford expected to sit, it’s hard to imagine the Lions staying in this one for very long, giving Elliott the opportunity to be in a very advantageous game script.
