Rob Gronkowski (back) and Sony Michel (knee) both questionable for Sunday for the Patriots
Rob Gronkowski (back) and Sony Michel (knee) are both questionable for Sunday for the Patriots. All reports suggest that Gronkowski will be active and make his return against a Jets secondary that has for the most part kept tight ends in check this season. There is nothing to indicate Michel is in any serious doubt of missing the contest either, and both players are likely listed as questionable primarily due to the typical patterns of Patriots injury reporting. That said, keep an eye on the team’s injury reports throughout the weekend to ensure neither player suffers a setback and both are ultimately good to go Sunday.
Other tagged players: Sony MichelTom Brady officially questionable for Sunday after missing practice Friday due to knee injury and illness
Tom Brady is officially questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Jets after missing practice Friday due to both a knee injury and illness. That said, reports out of Patriots camp are that Brady is expected to suit up Sunday. Keep an eye on the team’s injury reporting throughout the weekend to ensure he doesn’t suffer any setbacks related to his injury or illness, but for now expect Brady to be starting under-center in a divisional matchup against the woeful Jets.
Doug Martin removed from injury report, will play Sunday
Doug Martin has been removed from the Raiders injury report and will play Sunday against the Ravens. Martin was limited in practice throughout the week due to an ankle issue, but appears to be good to go for his usual workload for Week 12. That said, Martin finds himself in a terrible matchup, where he and the Raiders offense as a whole are expected to struggle greatly playing on the road in Baltimore.
Joe Flacco (hip) officially ruled out Sunday, as expected
No surprise here, but Joe Flacco has officially been ruled out Sunday due to his hip injury. Look for Lamar Jackson to start under center for the Ravens, and attempt to take advantage of an exploitable Raiders defense both on the ground and through the air. While Jackson himself is an interesting DFS target, the Ravens receivers do all see a slight downgrade in projected outcomes due to the lower expected pass attempts with Jackson at QB.
Jordy Nelson (knee) listed as questionable for Sunday, Martavis Bryant (knee) ruled out for the Raiders
Jordy Nelson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday, while Martavis Bryant (knee) has already been ruled out for the Raiders. The team is running extremely thin when it comes to pass-catchers, with the trading of Amari Cooper, the loss of Brandon LaFell to IR and Bryant out another week. Seth Roberts and Jared Cook appear to be in line for the most passing-game targets this week, with Nelson also seeing his fair share of looks if he can take the field. Regardless, the Raiders offense as a whole is best to be avoided this week in a difficult road matchup against a stout Ravens defense.
Other tagged players: Martavis BryantMelvin Gordon (hamstring, knee) and Tyrell Williams (quad) both questionable for Sunday for the Chargers
Melvin Gordon (hamstring, knee) and Tyrell Williams (quad) are both officially questionable Sunday for the Chargers. Gordon was an addition to the injury report later in the week, but nothing at this point suggests that he is likely to miss the Chargers’ Week 12 matchup with the Cardinals. That said, pay close attention to injury reporting throughout the afternoon heading into the weekend to ensure that he didn’t suffer a more serious setback than expected, which would bring his status into doubt. Tyrell Williams started the week not practicing but has since upgraded to being a limited practice participant, which suggests he trending towards suiting up as well. That said, if Gordon can’t go look for Austin Ekeler to lead the Chargers backfield, and Williams’s potential absence would mean more looks for Keenan Allen and Mike Williams at WR.
Other tagged players: Tyrell WilliamsRB Alex Collins (foot) questionable for Sunday
Ravens running back Alex Collins is officially questionable for Sunday due to a foot injury. That said, Collins returned to practice today after being held out of practice Thursday, so he appears to be trending towards being able to suit up. Keep an eye on the Ravens injury reporting throughout the weekend to ensure he didn’t suffer any setbacks at practice Friday, but for now expect Collins to be active for the team’s Week 12 matchup against the Raiders.
As reported by: Jamison HensleyQB Marcus Mariota (shoulder) will start in Week 12
The Titans QB1 was a full participant in practice Friday and is expected to start in Monday night’s divisional game against the Texans. He’s cheap across sites but has a daunting matchup on the road against a Texans defense ranked third in DVOA.
As reported by: Jim WyattCheap RB seeing increased touches
Elijah McGuire has taken on a more prominent role in the Jets backfield since coming off of IR three weeks ago, and this week he benefits from taking on a middle-of-the-pack Patriots rush defense that ranks 17th in yards-per-attempt allowed and 16th in rushing yards-per-game allowed. McGuire drew six rushing attempts and six targets in the Jets last game, giving him more touches than more expensive backfield teammate Isaiah Crowell, and McGuire is somewhat gamescript-independent given his passing game involvement.
Cheap WR drawing consistent targets
Danny Amendola has come on over the past five weeks, a time period that has coincided with Brock Osweiler taking the reins at quarterback. Although Osweiler as slowed down over his past few games, Amendola is as consistent as ever, drawing at least six targets and pulling down at least five receptions in each of his past five games. This week Miami faces a Colts defense that ranks 31st in completion percentage allowed and 22nd in yards per attempt allowed. Amendola is affordably priced across DFS sites this week and is particularly appealing on PPR sites.
QB Sam Darnold (foot) ruled out Sunday; Robby Anderson (ankle) is questionable
Josh McCown will get the start but isn’t set up well against the Patriots, attached to a meager 18-point team total. Expect Quincy Enunwa to lead the Jets in targets again and Jermaine Kearse to round out 2-WR sets on Sunday if Anderson is sidelined.
As reported by: Rich Cimini Other tagged players: Josh McCownWR Devin Funchess (back) listed as doubtful for Sunday; WR Torrey Smith (ankle) is questionable
Funchess didn’t practice all week after suffering a back injury in Week 11. Despite Torrey Smith’s potential return, D.J. Moore will be set up well in Week 12 with Funchess (22% team target share) sitting out, after the rookie wideout posted a monster performance last Sunday.
As reported by: Jourdan Rodrigue Other tagged players: Torrey SmithWRs Danny Amendola (hamstring) and DeVante Parker (shoulder) questionable for Sunday; RB Kenyan Drake will play
Parker is expected to play and both receivers would be set up fairly well with QB Ryan Tannehill back under center in a game the Dolphins should be trailing. Drake has now ceded the lead back role to Frank Gore and is still a tough sell this week despite the price decrease.
As reported by: Omar Kelly Other tagged players: DeVante Parker, Kenyan DrakeA.J. Green (toe) not practicing Friday; Questionable for Sunday
The Bengals WR1 appears to be on the wrong side of questionable after not practicing all week though it’s been reported he may practice on Saturday. Tyler Boyd and John Ross have seen nearly half of all passing targets in Green’s’ absence and are set up fairly well again with the Bengals having almost a 26-point implied team total.
As reported by: Jay Morrison Other tagged players: Tyler Boyd, John RossQB Joe Flacco (hip) not practicing Friday; Lamar Jackson expected to start Sunday
Flacco hasn’t practiced in quite some time and it’s possible we’re seeing a changing of the guard in Baltimore. QB Lamar Jackson gets another friendly matchup at home against a bottom of the barrel Raiders defense in a 10 a.m. PST start game. Jackson’s dual threat nature was on full display in Week 11 as he rushed for over 100 yards. If he can punch in a couple touchdowns this time around he should easily reach value at a reasonable $5,700 this week.
