Tom Brady (knee) not spotted at practice Friday
He’s been limited with a knee injury this week but it isn’t believed to be serious and he’d probably be the last player in the league who would need to practice to play. QB Brian Hoyer would start in the unlikely scenario that Brady sits on Sunday against the Jets.

Nick Chubb is a guy who is now playing almost 80% of snaps and looks really good. He will be going up against a Bengals team that has given up an average of 141.4 yards per game to running backs and let up eight touchdowns on the ground over the last five games. Chubb has had 20+ carries in his previous two games and has averaged 6.2 yards per carry in those two games combined. I think that this is a game where the Browns could just feed Chubb all day, which could result in a big day for the rookie back.
Paying up at TE
Kittle has looked great this year and is coming off of a 10-target game last week against the Giants. I see a lot of people going back to Ertz this week, and I think that means Kittle might come in a little lower owned. I also love that Kittle is Nick Mullens’ security blanket, which could lead him to have another double-digit target game against a defense that is playing terribly, especially against the pass.
Cheap GPP Dart
Josh Adams is, in my opinion, a very talented running back who is severely underpriced across the industry. He gets a matchup against a Giants defense that looks to be around league average against the run this year, but there is one issue with this. The last two weeks they have been playing without Snacks Harrison, who they traded to the Lions. This really has hurt their run defense: giving up 137.5 yards on average in the last two matchups. Adams only getting seven carries was due to the fact that they got crushed by the Saints, but did look good, posting seven rushes for 53 and a touchdown. This Giants team is not the same without Harrison, and I think the Eagles will look to take advantage.
Mack Attack
Mack has a very juicy matchup this week, going against a Miami Dolphins defense that has struggled mightily against the run. Miami is giving up 4.8 yards per carry and 142 yards per game on the ground. Mack in his last four games has scored five touchdowns and has really looked explosive. This game does set up well for the Colts to get up early, with this game at home, and thus they should be able to just pound the rock with Mack in the second half. I will definitely be overweight on Mack this week in a great matchup.
Saints WR Brandon Marshall inactive Thursday night
Saints WR Brandon Marshall is inactive Thursday night as a healthy scratch. Marshall won’t suit up despite fellow wideout Tre’Quan Smith being ruled out as well. The Saints called up Tommylee Lewis to the 53-man roster, and he may see some looks in Smith’s absence. It appears Marshall isn’t yet ready to take the field for New Orleans, but keep an eye on his practice status down the stretch to get an idea of if he may see the field soon for the high-powered Saints offense.
Tre'Quan Smith (foot) OUT Thursday night
Tre’Quan Smith is officially inactive Thursday night due to his foot injury. This is a disappointing development for the young wideout, coming off of his best game to date during Week 11. Smith’s absence may yield a few extra targets for the likes of Austin Carr, Ben Watson, Keith Kirkwood or Josh Hill, with Michael Thomas obviously being the most heavily-targeted pass-catcher for the Saints. Ultimately the offense will still revolve around the usual trio of Brees, Kamara and Thomas, but Smith was a viable DFS play on the Thanksgiving slate that will need to be replaced due to his being ruled out.
Melvin Gordon (hamstring, knee) and Tyrell Williams (quad) both limited in practice Thursday for the Chargers
Melvin Gordon (hamstring, knee) and Tyrell Williams (quad) were both limited in practice Thursday for the Chargers. Gordon is a new addition to the team’s injury report, though there is nothing to suggest at this point that he won’t be active and handle his normal workload for the team’s Week 12 matchup with the Cardinals. Williams was unable to practice yesterday, so his ability to log a limited practice today bodes well for his availability Sunday as he appears to be trending in the right direction. For now it appears both players should be expected to see their normal workload Sunday, but keep an eye on their practice status heading into the weekend to ensure neither suffers a setback.
Other tagged players: Tyrell WilliamsAlex Collins (foot) and Joe Flacco (hip) both unable to practice Thursday for the Ravens
Alex Collins (foot) and Joe Flacco (hip) were both unable to practice Thursday for the Ravens. Flacco appears unlikely to be able to suit up again this week after being inactive last week due to the injury. Look for Lamar Jackson to start at QB and see the majority of the reps under center for the Ravens against a woeful Raiders defense. If Collins were ultimately to be unable to suit up as well due to his foot injury, the Ravens backfield would likely be lead by upstart RB Gus Edwards, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown last week on 17 carries. That said, Jackson may still end up getting the highest volume of carries in Collins’s potential absence, as he had an incredible 26 rushing attempts last week to only 19 passing attempts as the starting QB.
Other tagged players: Joe FlaccoA.J. Green (toe) misses practice again Thursday
A.J. Green missed practice again Thursday due to the toe injury that has kept him out of action for the Bengals last two games. Green traveled with the team and even attempted to warm up last weekend, which seemed to bode well for his availability to return to action for Week 12. He still appears more likely than not to make his return this week against the Browns, but it is worth noting that Green is yet to practice this week due to the injury. Keep an eye on his practice status tomorrow, as his status for Sunday’s game would be brought into more serious question with another DNP.
Cowboys inactives: Tavon Austin, Sean Lee, Geoff Swaim
Notable Cowboys inactives for Thursday afternoon’s matchup with the Redskins include Tavon Austin, Sean Lee and Geoff Swaim. In Swaim’s absence the Cowboys will likely go with a “tight end by committee” approach, lead by Dalton Schultz but also potentially involving Rico Gathers and Blake Jarwin. Michael Gallup may pick up a few additional targets as well in the absence of both Swaim and Austin. That said, these inactives don’t figure to have a huge impact on the Cowboys offensive scheme, which will still lean heavily on Ezekiel Elliot in the rushing attack and Amari Cooper in the passing attack to move the ball against Washington.
Other tagged players: Geoff SwaimJamison Crowder, Samaje Perine inactive Thursday
Jamison Crowder and Samaje Perine are both officially inactive Thursday afternoon for the Redskins. Neither of these inactives are much of a surprise as neither player practiced all week. Look for Josh Doctson and Jordan Reed to be the most heavily targeted pass-catchers for the Redskins, with Maurice Harris and Trey Quinn also possibly seeing some additional looks due to Crowder’s absence.
Other tagged players: Samaje PerineQB Sam Darnold (foot) and WR Robby Anderson (ankle) not practicing Thursday
Darnold and Anderson both appear unlikely to play on Sunday against the Patriots. Josh McCown will get the start but isn’t set up well against the Patriots, attached to a meager 18-point team total. Expect Quincy Enunwa to lead the Jets in targets again and Jermaine Kearse to round out 2-WR sets on Sunday with Anderson sidelined.

The Panthers WR1 has now missed 2 practices in a row for a back injury that “popped up” after Week 11’s game and is now looking doubtful for Sunday. Despite Torrey Smith’s potential return, D.J. Moore would be set up even better in Week 12 if Funchess (22% team target share) were to sit out, after the rookie wideout posted a monster performance last Sunday.
