R.A. Dickey : FD: $7,600 — DK: $6,600
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 376.2 — SIERA: 4.38 — ERA: 3.89 — K%: 17.1% — BB%: 8.1% — HR/9: 1.1

LA Angels of Anaheim Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.307 (Rank: 19) — Strikeout Rate: 19.6% (Rank: 13)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.293 (Rank: 23) — Strikeout Rate: 18.4% (Rank: 7)
Pitches per PA: 3.79 (Rank: 20)
Analysis: Dickey may have a 2.45 ERA over the last month of play, but his peripheral statistics suggest that he is pitching nearly the same as he has been all season. During that same stretch, he has a 4.54 SIERA with a strikeout rate of only 15.4%. He can safely be avoided against the Angels in Los Angeles.
Pitcher Rating: 46.4
Garrett Richards : FD: $9,000 — DK: $9,500
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 317.2 — SIERA: 3.53 — ERA: 3.03 — K%: 21.7% — BB%: 7.6% — HR/9: 0.5

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.287 (Rank: 27) — Strikeout Rate: 21.9% (Rank: 20)
Pitches per PA: 3.82 (Rank: 13)
Analysis: Richards has pitched well recently, but he runs into the buzzsaw that is the Blue Jays’ offense. On the season, Toronto is ranked third in team wOBA and seventh in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. This is a case where I will be avoiding both the pitcher and the offense that he is facing.
Pitcher Rating: 73.4
Batter Grind Down
Toronto
Even though the Blue Jays are one of the best offenses in baseball, they are overpriced for their matchup today. Since the start of the 2014 season, Garrett Richards has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .280 wOBA over the last two seasons.

LA Angels
As mentioned above, we shouldn’t put any stock into R.A. Dickey recent play. His SIERA suggests some regression and that could come today against the Angels. Mike Trout is an elite play at his discounted price point. Kole Calhoun is also worth a look in tournaments.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.311 (Rank: 17) — Strikeout Rate: 19.4% (Rank: 9)
Pitches per PA: 3.86 (Rank: 9)
Analysis: Odorizzi is finally back in good form, posting a 3.08 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 26.4% over the last month of play. He is an interesting play today against the A’s, but he seems a bit overpriced for the matchup. Odorizzi has been much better at home throughout his career and the A’s are one of the toughest teams to strikeout in all of baseball. If you are paying up for a pitcher, go with Clayton Kershaw.
Pitcher Rating: 78.4
Kendall Graveman : FD: $5,000 — DK: $5,300

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.322 (Rank: 14) — Strikeout Rate: 19.3% (Rank: 8)
Pitches per PA: 3.85 (Rank: 10)
Analysis: Graveman has a 6.23 ERA over the last month of play, but his SIERA is nearly two and a half runs lower during that same stretch. He draws a decent matchup today against the Rays, who are ranked 27th in both team wOBA and strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. I wouldn’t recommend using him in cash games, but at his price, he is a viable tournament play at home.
Pitcher Rating: 52.1

The A’s draw a tough matchup against Jake Odorizzi, but at least they get to face him at home. Even though he has been in good form, Odorizzi has struggled on the road in his career. Josh Reddick is a decent punt play on FanDuel at the bare minimum ($2,200).

The Mets have enjoyed their trip to the Mile High city, as they have racked up 28 runs in the last two games. Ryan Vogelsong : FD: $6,600 — DK: $6,000
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 301.1 — SIERA: 4.16 — ERA: 3.97 — K%: 19.1% — BB%: 8.3% — HR/9: 1.0
Last 30 Days: IP: 17.0 — SIERA: 3.14 — ERA: 3.18 — K%: 28.8% — BB%: 8.2% — HR/9: 1.1
Pittsburgh Pirates Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.313 (Rank: 13) — Strikeout Rate: 20.6% (Rank: 20)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.363 (Rank: 2) — Strikeout Rate: 20.7% (Rank: 15)
Pitches per PA: 3.79 (Rank: 19)
Analysis: Vogelsong has pitched very well recently, posting a 3.14 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 28.8% over the last month of play. I’m going to trust the larger sample size though, as he has really struggled on the road over the last few seasons. He can safely be avoided against the Pirates, who have the second-highest team wOBA over the last 14 days of play.
Pitcher Rating: 54.8
Francisco Liriano : FD: $9,400 — DK: $10,300
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 304.2 — SIERA: 3.43 — ERA: 3.37 — K%: 26.0% — BB%: 10.4% — HR/9: 0.7
Last 30 Days: IP: 27.2 — SIERA: 3.75 — ERA: 4.88 — K%: 23.8% — BB%: 9.8% — HR/9: 0.3
San Francisco Giants Offense (2015)
vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.307 (Rank: 19) — Strikeout Rate: 19.0% (Rank: 8)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.304 (Rank: 19) — Strikeout Rate: 21.1% (Rank: 17)
Pitches per PA: 3.74 (Rank: 25)
Analysis: Liriano hasn’t been in perfect form recently, but he still has a 3.75 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 23.8% over the last month of play. He draws a mediocre matchup against the Giants, but he does get to face them at home in the pitcher-friendly confines of PNC Park. I don’t love targeting pitchers against the Giants, but if you are fading Clayton Kershaw, Liriano is a viable alternative.
Pitcher Rating: 90.5

San Francisco
The Giants draw a tough matchup against Francisco Liriano, who has been tough on both left and right-handed hitters. Buster Posey is the only fantasy option on my radar in this one. He has a .365 wOBA against southpaws over the last two seasons and his price is cheap on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Pittsburgh
The Pirates draw a favorable matchup against Ryan Vogelsong, who has given up a .353 wOBA to left-handed hitters over the last two seasons. Gregory Polanco is an elite play batting leadoff. Neil Walker is also worth a look here, especially if he is batting high up in the Pirates’ lineup.
