Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.333 (Rank: 10) — Strikeout Rate: 21.0% (Rank: 20)
Pitchers per PA: 3.84 (Rank: 9)
Analysis: Rodon has pitched well over the last month of play, posting a 3.29 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 22.7%. He has improved his command and he has produced an elite ground-ball rate. He draws a difficult matchup today against the Tigers though. Detroit is ranked fourth in wOBA (.330) against left-handed pitching and they are one of the best offensive teams at home.
Pitcher Rating:48.7
Alfredo Simon : FD: $8,100 — DK: $6,500

Chicago White Sox Offense (2015)

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.280 (Rank: 27) — Strikeout Rate: 20.2% (Rank: 18)
Pitchers per PA: 3.74 (Rank: 22)
Analysis: Simon is one of those pitchers that is tough to predict, regardless of his matchup. He doesn’t have a high strikeout rate, but he’s certainly capable of striking out at batter per inning. Today may be a great time to target him in tournaments, as he draws a favorable matchup against the White Sox, who are ranked 23rd in wOBA against right-handed pitching. Simon also has a decent chance of picking up the win as a (-130) favorite.

Last 14 Days: PA: 51 — wOBA: 0.349 — ISO: 0.024 — wRC+: 121
Analysis: Eaton has played well over the last couple of weeks and offers great value in the outfield. He is priced at $2,500 on FanDuel, which is extremely cheap for a leadoff hitter with his upside. He draws a favorable matchup against Alfredo Simon, who has given up a .323 wOBA to left-handed hitters over the past two seasons.

Last 14 Days: PA: 51 — wOBA: 0.534 — ISO: 0.262 — wRC+: 251
Analysis: Cabrera should be back in the lineup today after getting a routine day of rest yesterday. He has been red-hot over the past two weeks with a .534 wOBA and a .262 ISO. He has mashed left-handed pitching throughout his career and he has been terrific in day games this season, batting .430 with 11 home runs.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.360 (Rank: 4) — Strikeout Rate: 17.1% (Rank: 4)
Pitchers per PA: 3.96 (Rank: 2)
Analysis: Gonzalez is making his first start in over two weeks, as he was dealing with a groin injury. He is a better real-life pitcher than a daily fantasy baseball pitcher, as he has an average SIERA with a low strikeout rate. He can safely be avoided today against the surging Red Sox offense, that is ranked ninth in wOBA against right-handed pitching and second in wOBA over the last 14 days.
Pitcher Rating:41.7
Eduardo Rodriguez : FD: $7,800 — DK: $7,600
Pitching Stats:

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.375 (Rank: 1) — Strikeout Rate: 18.7% (Rank: 12)
Pitchers per PA: 3.80 (Rank: 15)
Analysis: Rodriguez has arguably been the best pitcher in the Red Sox rotation since being called up from the minor leagues. In his first month in the majors, he has a 3.90 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 21.3%. The issue here is his matchup. The Orioles have the highest wOBA of any team over the last two weeks and they have plenty of right-handed bats to throw at the rookie.

Last 14 Days: PA: 31 — wOBA: 0.313 — ISO: 0.222 — wRC+: 97
Analysis: Wieters should be in the Orioles’ lineup today, as they will look to load up on right-handed hitters to face the young southpaw. Wieters has great power for a catcher and his price is more than affordable on both FanDuel and DraftKings. He should see plenty of RBI opportunities batting in the heart of the order.

Last 14 Days: PA: 50 — wOBA: 0.427 — ISO: 0.293 — wRC+: 175
Analysis: Ortiz homered in yesterday’s win over the Orioles. He now has a .427 wOBA and a .293 ISO over the last two weeks of play. He appears to be fully out of his slump, yet his price on FanDuel is still listed under $3,000. At this price point, he is one of the top plays at the position. He draws a favorable matchup against Miguel Gonzalez, who has given up a .324 wOBA to left-handed hitters.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.282 (Rank: 26) — Strikeout Rate: 23.0% (Rank: 27)
Pitchers per PA: 3.81 (Rank: 12)
Analysis: Gray has established himself as one of the elite pitchers in the American League. He comes into today’s start in good form, posting a 3.13 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 21.0% over the last month of play. The Rangers’ offense has struggled recently, but they are still a force to be reckoned with, especially with Adrian Beltre back in the lineup. Gray may pitch well here, but he is overpriced for his matchup in the hitter-friendly Globe Life Park.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.346 (Rank: 7) — Strikeout Rate: 17.3% (Rank: 6)
Pitchers per PA: 3.87 (Rank: 7)
Analysis: Lewis’ SIERA is not nearly as bad as some of his other statistics. Since the start of last season, he has a 4.16 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 17.8%. It’s hard to trust those numbers though, as he has given up a .328+ wOBA to both left and right-handed hitters. He draws one of the most difficult matchups on the board, as the A’s are ranked sixth or better in wOBA against right-handed pitching, wOBA over the last 14 days, and pitches per plate appearance this season.

Analysis: The A’s are one of the top offenses to target today outside of Coors Field. Zobrist is one of the top fantasy options at second base, as he has been swinging a hot bat with a .447 wOBA over the last 14 days.

Analysis: deGrom has been dominant over the last month of play, posting a 2.57 SIERA with an impressive strikeout rate of 28.7%. He throws a ton of strikes, which drives up his strikeouts and allows him to pitch deep into games. He draws a favorable matchup today against the Brewers, who are ranked 27th in wOBA and 25th in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. He is still unproven at the major league level, but he does draw a favorable matchup against the Mets. On the season, New York is ranked 28th in wOBA and 21st in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. He can be avoided in cash games, but he may be worth a look as a cheap tournament option.

Analysis: Frias got off to a hot start this season, but he has been unable to maintain that pace. Over the last month of play, he has a 4.45 SIERA with a low strikeout rate of 11.5%. Even though the Cubs strikeout at a high clip, this is not a great matchup for Frias. The Cubs should be able to put the ball in play, as he has had a tough time missing bats recently. Run support may also be an issue with Jon Lester pitching opposite him.

Analysis: Lester has pitched well over the last month of play with a 3.21 SIERA and a strikeout rate of 24.0%. He doesn’t appear to be the dominant pitcher that we have seen in the past, but his peripheral statistics look nearly identical to those from last season. He draws a decent matchup today against the Dodgers, who are ranked 21st in wOBA and 14th in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching.

LA Dodgers
This game has one of the lowest run totals on the board. The Dodgers have not hit left-handed pitching nearly as well as they have right-handed pitching and they draw a difficult matchup against Jon Lester. The Dodgers are secondary fantasy options in this one.
