Latavius Murray does not practice; unlikely to play this week
The Raiders starting RB continues to not practice and is unlikely to play this week when the Kansas City Chiefs visit town. DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard split the workload evenly last week and are probably in line to do the same. Both are reasonably priced and given weather concerns in Oakland (high wind forecasts), could be utilized more than they were last week. The Chiefs are 27th in RB Rush DVOA (but 1st in RB Pass DVOA) so the match up will be a good one if the Raiders have to take to the ground because of the wind.
As reported by: Scott Bair on Twitter Other tagged players: DeAndre Washington, Jalen RichardSteve Smith remains doubtful for Sunday
Nothing has changed in regards to the Ravens veteran WR – he remains doubtful to play against the Redskins this weekend. Kamar Aiken should get the start and along with Breshad Perriman is the biggest beneficiary of this news. If anything changes regarding Smith, we’ll let you know.
As reported by: Bo Smolka on TwitterArian Foster a game-time decision for Sunday
The Dolphins RB has been eyeing a return this week and is a game-time decision according to Head Coach Adam Gase. It’s not a great match up, especially considering uncertainty with his role, Jay Ajayi’s presence, and a relatively tough match up against a Steelers team that is top 10 in RB Rush DVOA so he’s probably best avoided until we can see him on the field in a more defined role. We’ll update his status Sunday morning as soon as we learn more.
As reported by: Jason Lieser on TwitterLarry Donnell not listed on injury report; will play this week
The Giants TE missed last weeks game against the Packers but will return this week after taking part in practice and not being on the team injury report today. Him and fellow TE Will Tye are not viable DFS options going against a tough Ravens defense that is 3rd in TE DVOA.
As reported by: Paul Schwartz on TwitterTyler Eifert ruled OUT again for this week
The Bengals TE continues to struggle with injuries and has been ruled out again this week for their game against the Patriots who are 25th in TE DVOA. With the Patriots ability to shut down teams #1 players (like A.J. Green), C.J. Uzomah (as well as Brandon LaFell and Giovani Bernard) makes for an intriguing DFS option as Andy Dalton will have to find someone to throw the ball to – especially in a game where they figure to be behind and passing.
As reported by: Geoff Hobson on Twitter Other tagged players: C.J. UzomahMarkus Wheaton ruled OUT for this week
The Steelers have ruled out Markus Wheaton this week for their game against the Dolphins. Eli Rogers is returning and is an interesting DFS option going against a depleted Dolphins secondary. This is also a boost to Sammie Coates who is in line for a big game if he is cleared to play.
As reported by: Mark Kaboly on Twitter Other tagged players: Eli RogersSammie Coates catching passes in practice; will find out soon if he's playing this week
The talented Steelers WR has been dealing with a lacerated hand but was able to catch passes in practice today. He stated that he would find out soon whether he would be cleared to play this weekend against the Dolphins. Coates is a high-risk, high-reward option who has seen an increase in targets and production of late. He’ll likely be high owned but the upside is there against a bad Dolphins defense to warrant utilizing him in your DFS lineups.
As reported by: Jeremy Fowler on TwitterKelvin Benjamin and Jonathan Stewart questionable; both expected to play
The Panthers have listed their starting WR and RB as questionable for their game against the Saints this week but Head Coach Ron Rivera said he feels good about all those listed as questionable (including Cam Newton) and expects them to play this week. Both are in play as DFS options given the attractive match up they have.
As reported by: Bryan Strickland on Twitter Other tagged players: Jonathan StewartCam Newton practices in full; officially listed as questionable
The reigning league MVP practiced in full today but isn’t 100% out of the woods yet. He’s listed as questionable but expected to play. We should know more tomorrow and will update you as soon as that news comes in. Newton is in an obvious great spot facing the Saints in New Orleans this week and is in play in all formats if he does play.
As reported by: Joe Person on TwitterMark Ingram a potential leverage play at RB on FanDuel this week
With most eyes on LeSean McCoy, Le’Veon Bell, DeMarco Murray, and to a lesser extent Jordan Howard and Lamar Miller, there is an excellent opportunity to get exposure to the highest over/under of the week via Mark Ingram who grades out as our seventh highest pts/$ projected value at RB on FanDuel where he is RB17 in terms of pricing at $6,700 (contrasted by being RB10 on DraftKings). While the Panthers have a solid run DVOA at 6th RB Rush, they showed vulnerability last week when they let Jacquizz Rodgers run all over them. If you’re looking to differentiate your roster with potential 2 TD upside (if you have the heart to fade John Kuhn vultures) then Ingram could be the play for you this week.
Jordan Reed continues to not practice; appears doubtful to play this week
The Redskins TE entered the league concussion protocol earlier this week and given his concussion history and the fact that he has not practiced appears extremely unlikely to play against the Eagles this weekend. Vernon Davis and Niles Paul will get most of the TE work for the Redskins if this happens but neither are particularly attractive options facing an Eagles defense that is top 5 in TE DVOA.
As reported by: JP Finlay on TwitterCowboys unsure if Dez Bryant will play this week
Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett said Bryant would not practice today but that he was pleased with the progress his start WR had been making. That said, he was still unsure if Bryant would play on Sunday against the Packers. If Bryant can’t go, Brice Butler and Terrance Williams should receive more opportunities and both make for viable DFS options going against a somewhat vulnerable Packers secondary.
As reported by: Todd Archer on Twitter Other tagged players: Brice Butler, Terrance WilliamsGary Barnidge listed as questionable for this week
The Browns starting TE is listed as questionable by the team for their game this weekend against the Titans. He’s still expected to play but is a lower end TE play this week going as Tennessee is top 8 in DVOA and Pass DVOA.
As reported by: Nate Ulrich on TwitterDwayne Washington practices; Theo Riddick and Eric Ebron do not
After looking sharp on the side yesterday, Washington has taken the practice field today which could be a good thing considering Theo Riddick has missed another practice and appears questionable to play this weekend. With only Zack Zenner and newly signed Justin Forsett to compete with, Washington could be in line for a solid workload if Riddick doesn’t play. TE Eric Ebron missed practice again and it appears unlikely that he will play this weekend. We’ll keep you updated on the Lions injury situation heading into this weekend.
As reported by: Tim Twentyman on Twitter Other tagged players: Theo Riddick, Eric EbronRyan Mathews misses practice due to illness
Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson stated their starting RB was excused from practice with an illness but that he still expects him to play on Sunday. If for some reason he can’t, it’d be an obvious boost for Darren Sproles and most likely Wendell Smallwood in a great spot for Eagles RB’s as they face a Redskins team that is dead last in RB DVOA.
