Bennie Logan Added to Injury Report - Questionable

Adam Caplan is reporting Bennie Logan could be a game-time decision after his addition to the injury report on Sunday. Bennie Logan is an underrated interior disruptor and excels against the run. If Logan is forced to miss the game, it could be a nice boost to Blount’s fantasy outlook today. Blount makes for an interesting GPP play with the possibility of the Patriots’ game turning into a “Blount Game” in the 2nd half, especially in Fan Duel’s more TD-heavy scoring format since he is not a huge threat for receptions out of the backfield.

Martellus Bennett Expected to Play - Probable

Martellus Bennett is listed as probable with his cracked ribs and is expected to play, according to Ian Rapoport. Zach Miller is also expected to play with a fractured rib of his own. With both Eddie Royal (knee) and Marquess Wilson (foot) out, the Bears will look to employ two-TE sets. Bennett is Rotogrinders’ #7 overall TE according to Pt/$/K projections.

Shaun Draughn is an excellent value target in all formats

Shaun Draughn will again draw the start at RB this week for the 49ers with the ailing Carlos Hyde sidelined with a foot injury. Draughn will continue to be the lead back until Hyde is able to return, and is a great value play especially against the Bears’ porous run defense. Last week Draughn was on the field for 100% of the snaps and to find him for only $4,000 on DK and $5,900 on FD is a great bargain. A great stat to look at is cost per opportunity and Draughn should have plenty of opportunity today both on the ground and in the passing game. What benefits Draughn even more is the fact that over the last 3 games as the starting RB, he has caught 17 passes out of the backfield, giving him a nice boost on a full PPR site like DK. Draughn is a great target in all formats and may be a bit underowned because of popular picks like CJ Anderson and David Johnson right around the same price point.

Tyler Eifert Expected to Miss Week 13 - Doubtful

Tyler Eifert (back) is expected to miss Week 13 according to Adam Schefter. Eifert suffered a stinger against the Rams and is dealing with a pinched nerve, getting in no practices this week. He leads the league with 12 touchdowns, 3 of them coming against these same Browns the last time they played in Week 9. Andy Dalton will miss his favorite Red Zone target in Eifert, which should provide a nice boost to AJ Green’s prospects today who will not have to deal with Joe Haden this week.

Michael Floyd to Play Week 13 - Questionable

Michael Floyd was a limited participant in three practices this week and will be playing this week, depsite his questionable tag (hamstring) according to Adam Schefter. Working against Michael Floyd is the health of the other wide receivers for the Cardinals with John Brown (both hamstrings) back to full health. Floyd will be a low-floor WR3 this week, but is always capable of catching some of his deep targets.

Danny Amendola Expected to Play - Questionable

Ian Rapoport is reporting Danny Amendola is expected to play today against the Eagles. After getting in three limited practices this week, Amendola is listed as questionable. The Eagles are susceptible both on the ground and through the air and with the Patriots missing Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, Amendola should have a nice floor for targets – listed as #1 WR in Rotogrinders’ Pt/$/K Projections. With the Patriots playing at 4:25, make sure your lineup is flexible enough to be able to pivot off of Amendola in case he is a surprise inactive before game time.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins to Return

Austin Seferian-Jenkins is expected to play according to a report by Adam Schefter. After missing the past nine games with a strained shoulder, Seferian-Jenkins was cleared for contact on Friday after getting in another full week of limited practices.

Fitzpatrick, Marshall, Decker could make for a great GPP stack

Ryan Fitzpatrick has actually been fairly consistent this year at QB including a 29FP performance last week vs. Miami. Take away a 3FP outing vs. Oakland in Week 8 and Fitzpatrick would likely be priced a bit higher. He is a great value this week as the Jets take on the Giants in the battle for New York on Sunday at MetLife Stadium (which both teams share so don’t let the Jets’ “away” tag fool you). Brandon Marshall has also been spectacular this year averaging over 21FP per game, the third most of any WR this season. Eric Decker is the last piece of the Jets passing attack worth a look in DFS and has been very consistent this season as well. A lot of people will be on the Cam Newton-Greg Olsen stack and rightly so, but for GPPs you can be contrarian and save a little bit of cap space for a Jets stack of these 3 (or even 2). The Giants’ pass defense has been horrid this season letting up over 300 passing yards per game and just a few weeks back allowing Drew Brees to throw for 505 yards and 7 TDs(!). This is a great spot to pivot off of the Newton-Olsen train, although that is a viable stack as well, and play a combination of Fitzpatrick, Marshall, and Decker.

Julius Thomas makes for an interesting GPP target Sunday

Julius Thomas finally showed up last Sunday vs. San Diego to the tune of 9-116-1. We have been waiting all year for Thomas to break out and it looks like last week might’ve been the start. Other than Week 6 vs. Houston this is the only game Thomas has gone for over 30 receiving yards. This is a boom-or-bust situation on Sunday, but we are betting on a boom. Allen Hurns has been ruled out so that leaves Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, and Thomas to likely be the most targeted receivers for Blake Bortles against an average Titans defense. There are different advantages to taking Thomas on both DraftKings and FanDuel. On DK he is priced just below all of the “elite” tight ends this week and makes for a great bargain comparatively, where on FD his price point is right in the mix with the names of other highly-owned TEs this week such as Travis Kelce, Jordan Reed, and Delanie Walker and could be a great contrarian pivot off of any of those guys on FD. Thomas likely cannot be trusted in cash games yet, but he is a very enticing GPP option as he has the talent and opportunity for another breakout week on Sunday.

Odell Beckham Jr. is an elite target Sunday

Obviously OBJ is always an elite target, however this Sunday the Giants will be matched up with the Jets who are missing top CB Darrelle Revis again this week. Normally it is not ideal to target a team’s #1 WR vs. the Jets because of the presence of Revis, however last week when Revis was out Dolphins’ #1 WR Jarvis Landry went off for 13-165-1. OBJ is even more talented than Landry and is coming off of his own big game last week when he had 9-142-1. Making this even better for Beckham is the fact that Revis’s backup, Marcus Williams, is likely out on Sunday as well with a knee injury. This is definitely a week to spend up at WR as Antonio Brown (20.6%), AJ Green (13.3%), and Julio Jones (10.7%) will all be very highly owned as well and fading any of these guys could be very dangerous in both cash games or GPPs. All of them are great options and elite targets and look for any or all of these guys to go off on Sunday, and Beckham looks to ultimately have a great opportunity to do so as well

DeSean Jackson Misses Practice with Illness

Updating an earlier report, DeSean Jackson missed today’s practice with an upper respiratory illness. The Redskins have listed Jackson as probable for Monday’s match up with the Dallas Cowboys. Jackson will remain a boom-or-bust WR option this week, but is on track to play.

DeSean Jackson Not Practicing Saturday

DeSean Jackson is on the practice field, but is standing off to the side of the field. Jackson is not on the injury report this week after missing seven weeks with a hamstring injury, so perhaps this is a rest day for him. We will know more when official injury designations are released after today’s practice.

Matt Forte / Jeremy Langford to Split Workload

On Friday’s “NFL Total Access” show, Matt Forte explained his desire to stay with the Chicago Bears, but realizes the team may be reluctant to pay up for a 30-year-old RB. With Jeremy Langford playing well and the Bears most likely not willing to pay up to retain the services of Forte, look for Langford to eat into Forte’s workload. Evidence of this trend also surfaced on Friday in a comment by Bears OC Adam Gase, who indicated he is aiming to split the workload between the two backs to “keep them fresh”.

DFS Takeaway – In a juicy match up against the San Francisco 49ers, it is tough to trust either Forte or Langford in any type of cash game. Either player could be in the GPP conversation due to the match up and ability to put up big points. Matt Forte slides in as more of an RB2 as opposed to his usual RB1 status and Langford has the looks of a high-end flex play.

Jeremy Hill is a very solid GPP target in Week 13

This is not a play we trust in cash games, but Hill has GPP-winning upside against the Browns this week. He hasn’t been talked about much early in the week but Hill couldn’t be in a much better spot on Sunday. Cleveland will be starting Austin Davis at QB against a 9-2 Bengals squad, and RBs tend to fare well when their team is a heavy favorite. It doesn’t hurt that the Browns have allowed more rushing yards per game (126.73) to RBs than any team in the league. Hill’s workload has picked up over his last six games (he’s had fewer than 13 carries just once), and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him finish with 20+ carries on Sunday. His floor will always be low with Giovani Bernard healthy, but he’s an intriguing option over David Johnson, who will carry a much higher ownership percentage in Sunday GPPs. In the last meeting of 2014 between these two teams (Johnny Manziel’s first career start), Hill went off for 25-148-2 with the Bengals fully controlling that game.

Willie Snead doubtful for Sunday

With Brandin Cooks expected to be shadowed by Josh Norman, Marques Colston and Ben Watson should be bumped up accordingly. Neither player is viable in cash games, but both hold considerable GPP appeal. Norman is arguably the league’s top cover corner which should lead to a drop-off in targets for Cooks, and with Snead out those looks will presumably go towards Colston and Watson. Brandon Coleman is also likely to see an increased snap count, but he hasn’t shown much since a few solid outings early in the season.
