Keshawn Martin active for SNF
Keshawn Martin is active tonight as expected. He’ll take on a very strong Broncos secondary, but with Tom Brady down to Rob Gronkowski and Brandon LaFell as his main targets, Martin should see a fair amount of work and is likely ahead of Chris Harper in the pecking order. Martin is a viable late-swap option on DraftKings at minimum price. If he continues to line up frequently on the right side, he’ll see plenty of Aqib Talib, but the matchup won’t be good regardless of where he’s playing.

Dexter McCluster out on Sunday
McCluster will not play against the Raiders on Sunday, which opens up opportunity for David Cobb to get some work behind Antonio Andrews, who is actually somewhat of a sneaky contrarian play as the Titans lead back. He’s been seeing a healthy workload in recent weeks and his salary is still low enough to keep him in play. He’ll surely be underowned compared to the other value backs in play this week.

With Freeman out, Tevin Coleman will head up the Falcons backfield on Sunday with Terron Ward also expected to see some work. Coleman hasn’t shown much at the NFL level yet, but should see around 20 touches today against a surprisingly poor Minnesota run defense. He’s a potential GPP target that will be much lower owned than guys like Thomas Rawls, Javorius Allen, T.J. Yeldon and Spencer Ware. With Hankerson out, Jacob Tamme becomes a viable TE punt. He’s posted a few big games with Hankerson out of the lineup and the Falcons lack any real receiving options outside of Julio Jones. With Matt Bryant out, Shayne Graham will kick for the Falcons today.

Malcom Floyd will play Sunday and while he is likely not a DFS target and isn’t even available to roster on FanDuel, this slightly decreases the value of Dontrelle Inman and Stevie Johnson. Inman likely won’t see the field a ton and will slide back to his WR3 position on the Chargers depth chart and should not be considered for DFS purposes. Johnson is still a good value on both sites and still remains a good punt play vs. the Jaguars.

Jarvis Landry, Rishard Matthews active Sunday
As expected, both Landry and Matthews will both play today vs. the Jets. Darrelle Revis is also officially out for the Jets and that bodes well for the entire Dolphins passing game. Both are in play, where Matthews is likely a GPP target. Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins should have a good day through the air.

Charcandrick West is officially inactive for today’s game with the Bills. Spencer Ware will draw the start with Knile Davis acting in a complementary role, although Ware will see the large majority of the snaps/touches in the KC backfield. He’s a very intriguing target in any format, but he’s especially appealing in tournaments given that his ownership percentage will be lower than Thomas Rawls and potentially Javorius Allen, two of the more popular value backs on today’s slate. The rain in Kansas City also plays into Ware’s favor, as it should lead to a more ground-heavy approach for both teams.

While both players are in relatively tough spots tonight, they are both expected to be active. Sanders isn’t terribly appealing against a stout New England secondary, but the Pats defense is likely to expend more resources to stopping Demaryius Thomas, so there is some contrarian upside with Sanders. He’s not playable outside of GPPs. As for Martin, he’s a very intriguing target at minimum price on DraftKings. He should play the majority of snaps in two WR sets with Amendola and Edelman out. If Martin is a surprise inactive, you can always pivot to Chris Harper at the same price.

It’s apparently pouring right now in KC and precipitation is expected to be a factor during today’s game. The Vegas total has dropped 1.5 points this morning, and the rain makes targeting any options in either passing game very risky. RBs on both sides get a bump in value, as do the D/ST units. Kansas City’s defense is in a good spot this week at a very affordable price.

Harrison Smith, who is PFF’s number one overall safety, will be out for the game today vs. the Falcons and Antone Exum will take his place. This is a downgrade for the Vikings secondary and Julio Jones should have no trouble navigating it. Leonard Hankerson is also out today and it is looking like it might be a perfect storm for Jones to have a monster game. Jones is almost always in play, however he could be a great play today and could be a nice pivot off of the heavily-owned DeAndre Hopkins or Odell Beckham Jr. If you could find a way to fit two of those guys in your lineups that would be ideal, but all three look like great options with Jones poised for a huge game.

Michael Floyd will take the field today with a juicy matchup vs. the 49ers. Carson Palmer will have all of his weapons back against a horrific 49ers pass defense, and given his consistency he is likely the safest option on the board today at QB. Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown, and Floyd will all be active for the first time in several weeks and all three are in play today. Floyd will have to compete with Fitzgerald and Brown for targets, but still should be considered vs. a 49ers pass defense that allows nearly 33 fantasy points to opposing WRs.

Charcandrick West is not expected to play today, which leaves the backfield to Spencer Ware and Knile Davis. Ware is expected to start and should see the large majority of the work and is a very solid GPP target with backs like Thomas Rawls and Javorius Allen expected to be much more popular. West’s matchup with Buffalo is not ideal but they’ve been friendlier to opposing RBs of late.

It looks like Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews will take the field today in their matchup vs. the Jets. Normally we wouldn’t recommend a team’s receivers vs. the Jets, however today Landry is definitely in play after it was announced that Darrelle Revis will miss the game with a concussion. This makes it much easier to roster Landry or even Matthews (likely as a GPP only) in which might actually be a good matchup, as CB Marcus Williams is filling in for Darrelle Revis and is a significant downgrade for the Jets at CB. Look for Ryan Tannehill to have his way with a depleted Jets secondary this afternoon.

As expected Amendola will take a seat for their Sunday night matchup vs. the Broncos. Look for Brandon LaFell, Keshawn Martin, and Chris Harper to fill the 3 receiver spots. They all have a tough matchup vs. the Broncos, and if you really want exposure to the Patriots offense this week then Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are in play albeit the tough matchup.

Kelce is listed as questionable but is fully expected to play this afternoon. He’s in a very tough spot against a Bills defense that has been stingy against tight ends, so he’s nothing more than a dart throw GPP play this week. There are still some conflicting reports on Charcandrick West’s status, but we’ll update you when we have something concrete.
Taylor Gabriel, Andrew Hawkins both out for Week 12
Both Taylor Gabriel and Andrew Hawkins will not play on Monday night. The Cleveland passing attack is actually an intriguing target this week, with Josh McCown, Gary Barnidge and Travis Benjamin all viable options against a poor Baltimore pass defense. Barnidge is playable in any format with McCown and Benjamin being best utilized in GPPs. With Gabriel and Hawkins out, Brian Hartline and Dwayne Bowe will play behind Benjamin, with Hartline likely to see more a higher snap/target count.
