Pitcher Grind Down
Cincinnati Reds vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.314 (Rank: 15)
Strikeout Rate: 18.5% (Rank: 7)
Cole has been a very solid starter for the Pirates this year. He comes into this game with a SIERA of 2.93 and has just as much upside as any other pitcher on the slate due to his 24.6% strikeout rate. Cole does face a Reds team that he has struggled against so far this year as he has given up 11 earned runs in three starts (14.2 innings). With that said, he is up there with the likes of Keuchel, DeGrom and Lynn for being a top option on this slate for all formats. Rating = 8
Salaries: $10,800 FD, $10,600 DK
Pitssburgh Pirates vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.308 (Rank: 19)
Strikeout Rate: 20.5% (Rank: 22)
Raisel Iglesias has not been the most trustable of fantasy starters. He comes into this game with a 5.53 ERA, but his advanced statistics do suggest that he has been pitching better than his ERA shows (3.63 SIERA). Iglesias does have some strikeout potential as well with a 22.7% strikeout rate, and does have an average matchup against the Reds. Run support may be tough, but Iglesias could be used as an SP2 or a tournament play at his salary. Rating = 6
Salaries: $6,300 FD, $5,000 DK
Batter Grind Down
Pittsburgh
Iglesias has allowed a wOBA of .300+ to batters from both sides of the plate. This Pirates squad is swinging a hot set of bats, as they have put up 28 runs over the last four starts. They may be a decent option who should be owned at a low percentage.

Pitcher Grind Down
Milwaukee Brewers vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.308 (Rank: 20)
Strikeout Rate: 20.4% (Rank: 20)
Hendricks has had two poor starts in a row, but his peripheral stats over the last six games are very solid as he sports a 3.15 SIERA and a 23% strikeout rate. He has a decent matchup today against a Brewers squad that is in the bottom third of the league in both wOBA and strikeout rate against righties. Facing this Brewers squad without Gomez is a nice boost to Hendricks, which makes him a decent SP2 this afternoon. Rating = 6.5
Salaries: $7,100 FD, $7,100 DK
Chicago Cubs vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.298 (Rank: 25)
Strikeout Rate: 24.3% (Rank: 29)
Since coming off the DL, Garza has had two decent starts in a row allowing three total earned runs, and nine strikeouts in 11.2 innings. Prior to going on the DL, Garza’s main problem was his 1.38 HR/9 rate (17 home runs in 18 innings). This could be the start of an improved Garza, yet more needs to be seen before he is trustable at all. He is a small underdog tonight with a total of eight. Avoid him until he can string together a few more quality starts. Rating = 4.5
Salaries: $6,200 FD, $5,300 DK

Garza was a home run allowing machine earlier in the season, which could bode well for this free-swinging offense of the Cubs. They are great tournament plays tonight and could be used in all formats.

Mitchell will be getting the start tonight for the Yankees. Coming out of the bullpen to make his second career start, Mitchell will have extremely limited upside due to most likely giving the Yankees 4-5 innings tops. Avoid him in all formats. Rating = 3

New York Yankees vs. LH Pitching: (2015)

We didn’t really think Danks could possibly pitch well for three consecutive starts right? Well, his two-game scoreless streak came to a quick end with a six earned run performance to the Red Sox in his last start. Even with the recent solid starts, Danks has posted a 4.44 SIERA over the last month and is always one of the top options to stack against regardless of matchup. He has a tough one today against the Yankees and should be avoided. Rating = 3
Salaries: $6,200 FD, $5,400 DK

NY Yankees
Any time Danks takes the mound, we can look at the offense he is facing as one of the top options of the day. Tonight is no different as the Yankees are red-hot right now and the righties should be attacked as Danks has allowed a wOBA of .380 to right-handed bats on the year and are the top stack of the night slate.

New York Mets vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.295 (Rank: 26)
Strikeout Rate: 20.1% (Rank: 16)
Ross has been decent in his first five major league starts for the Nationals. He has a very solid 2.50 SIERA to begin his career, while posting an extremely solid 26.4% strikeout rate. The strikeouts are not something I think we can expect to continue as he only posted a 16.1% rate in Triple AAA before coming into the majors. He gets one of the best matchups on the board against the inept Mets offense and should be viewed as a good cheap option on this slate. Rating = 6.5

Washington Nationals vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.314 (Rank: 14)
Strikeout Rate: 21.0% (Rank: 23)
deGrom has been stellar this year for the Mets. He brings his sub 3.00 SIERA into this matchup with the Nationals and has been pitching very well recently as well. He has not allowed more than three earned runs in his last 13 starts, while continuing to strike guys out at an elite rate during that span (29.3%). deGrom has a decent matchup against the Nationals who are middle of the road against right-handed pitching and strikeout at a 21% clip. He is a top pitching option for the night slate and has a great price at DK. Rating = 9
Salaries: $11,300 FD, $11,800 DK

deGrom should be able to shut down this Nationals offense tonight as they have the lowest team total of the slate at 2.89. They are an easy offense to avoid.

Houston Astros vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.323 (Rank: 8)
Strikeout Rate: 24.6% (Rank: 30)
Hellickson has been pitching pretty well over the last month. In July, Hellboy has a SIERA of 3.13 (1.88 ERA) as he has only allowed five earned runs in 24 innings pitched. All four of these starts have come in very hitter-friendly environments as well, which makes it even more impressive. It is still hard to trust Hellickson at the moment, but he is trending in the right way and could be used as a cheap tournament play today, but with a good amount of risk attached. Rating = 4

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. LH Pitching: (2015)

Keuchel has been a bit hit or miss over the last two months. He has had some really amazing shut down starts during this span, as well as has given up five earned runs in a few starts. Every time he takes the mound though, he has a very solid upside as he sports a SIERA of 2.63 and a strikeout rate of 22.5%. He has a decent matchup against the Diamondbacks if he can get around Goldschmidt and Pollock and is one of the safer options on the night slate. Rating = 8.5
