Kevin Garnett (rest) out, Gorgui Dieng to start
Kevin Garnett has been ruled out tonight on the second night of a back-to-back. Gorgui Dieng will be starting in his place. Dieng will have to face the length of Kristaps Porzingis, making him a tougher DFS option. Look for him to get about 30 minutes tonight, with Nemanja Bjelica as his backup.

Nikola Vucevic is a great option vs. undersized Hornets
Nikola Vucevic is severely underpriced for the production he has been putting out over the last couple of weeks. He is only at $6,800 on DraftKings and gets a great matchup tonight vs. an undermanned Hornets frontcourt. Al Jefferson has been out for a couple of weeks now and Cody Zeller has been starting in his place. Zeller is a PF in nature, and between him and Marvin Williams they have struggled a bit to guard opposing centers. Vucevic is in a great spot tonight to likely reach value as he is still one of the top offensive centers in the league. The Hornets won’t have anyone that should be able to guard Vucevic tonight and look for him to have a solid game with a relatively high floor.
Dwyane Wade confirmed starting
Dwyane Wade has been confirmed as starting tonight and will face the Nets. He gets a great matchup but is in the lowest total points game of the night. Wade usually plays better against elite competition, so it is tough to recommend him outside of GPP’s tonight. Look for Wade to try to score early and put the game out of reach so he can rest late.

The Pacers and Mavericks showdown today in Indianapolis in what is projected to be one of the highest over/unders of the day. There are several attractive options on both teams, but Monta Ellis is normally overlooked from a DFS perspective because of his inconsistency. While it is true that he is inconsistent, that has kept his price down to a measly $5,400 on DraftKings. Ellis is a starter that plays 32 minutes per game and has the ability to score the ball at will, even though he doesn’t do that sometimes. He is typically a high-volume shooter, they just haven’t been falling this year and the poor shooting percentage has contributed to his lack of production. Tonight he gets a matchup with the Mavericks who aren’t all that great guarding opposing SGs in a fast-paced game that should benefit Ellis. His inconsistency doesn’t necessarily make him a solid cash game option, but he is a viable GPP target given his price and matchup tonight. Also, if “revenge game” narratives are your thing, last year he played for the Dallas Mavericks.
Kevin Martin (wrist) out Wednesday
Kevin Martin has been ruled out of Wednesday’s contest which means the earlier report of Tayshaun Prince starting looks good. Prince is not a DFS option tonight, but he will likely be used to guard Carmelo Anthony for stretches. Zach LaVine will likely get all the minutes off the bench and makes for a viable play due to his recent strong play. LaVine does go missing for stretches so he is a boom-or-bust chase option after playing well last night.

Both Dwyane Wade and Tyler Johnson are expected to play tonight. Wade was battling an illness and had missed shootaround. Tyler Johnson was suffering from a shoulder injury and had missed the previous three games. With Wade in the lineup, look for him to dominate his matchup against Bojan Bogdanović and/or Joe Johnson. Wade’s price is a bit steep, but he will get a chance to shine with Thad Young and his length playing on Chris Bosh.

It’s not going to make him a viable DFS play, but Tayshaun Prince may re-enter the starting lineup tonight. It’s still partly speculation, but sources close to the T’Wolves have said it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get a start tonight. We’d guess that either Kevin Garnett or Kevin Martin would be removed from the starting lineup in favor of Prince, but we still wouldn’t expect Prince to see upwards of 20 minutes even as a starter. If Kevin Martin was removed from the starting lineup, it would help Andrew Wiggins’ outlook, as he’d be counted on more as a scorer when the starters are on the floor.

Lavoy Allen to start over C.J. Miles on Wednesday
Lavoy Allen will draw the start over C.J. Miles tonight to give the Pacers a bit more size to start the game. Despite being a starter, Allen is still not a strong DFS play due to his limited ceiling. Miles value doesn’t change much off the bench as he’s relied on a bit more as a scorer with the second unit, and he’ll still see somewhere in the neighborhood of 26-30 minutes. Jordan Hill continues to eat heavily into Allen’s production, and it’s unfortunate that he doesn’t draw the start in bigger lineups, as his ceiling is considerably higher than Allen’s.

Channing Frye remains in the starting lineup tonight against the Hornets. Frye is not much of a DFS option even though he starts, and pretty much eliminates Andrew Nicholson’s value. Frye is coming off his best game with 29 FPs, but his numbers were artificially inflated by 5 assists on the night. Neither Frye or Nicholson are recommended targets tonight – Nikola Vucevic and Elfrid Payton are both nice upside targets in tournaments.

Paul George will take the court Wednesday night against Dallas despite dealing with an illness. George participated in this morning’s shootaround which is a good sign that the illness shouldn’t slow him down at all tonight. He remains an elite target at SF, especially on sites that require you to roster more than one. Due to him posting a few poor fantasy efforts in his last two games, George’s ownership percentage may be lower than normal tonight, but he still possesses tournament winning upside on any given night. The IND/DAL game is a solid one to target tonight – Indiana is a 4-point favorite with the total sitting at 207.5.

Serge Ibaka is coming off a 31.25 fantasy night and will look to keep it rolling against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. According to DraftKings, the Trail Blazers rank 28th for PF DvP, and based on price Ibaka is the 13th most expensive PF on the board. While he might not be a lock as your number one guy, Ibaka deserves consideration as your second F. His $6,000 salary is $700 cheaper than its peak 10 games ago. Ibaka is pretty much a lock for 32 minutes, and would see even more court time if the Trail Blazers are able to keep it close. Ibaka’s floor is considerably higher than the forwards priced in his range due to his defensive abilities. Ibaka has double-double potential and hits three-pointers, which further boosts his value. While the crowd will run to Matt Barnes and Kent Bazmore, you can differentiate yourself with Ibaka.
Shane Larkin out indefinitely with a concussion
The Brooklyn Nets have announced that Shane Larkin is out indefinitely as a result of a concussion he suffered in practice. Markel Brown and Donald Sloan are the likely beneficiaries but neither are DFS targets as they don’t do much with the playing time they do get. Jarrett Jack should see his minutes go up as a result and usually he would be a decent GPP target for tonight’s slate. However, the Nets face the Heat who are #3 overall in terms of PG DvP so it’s a match up probably best avoided.

Greg Monroe out for tonight's game
After being a late scratch last night, the Bucks have announced that Greg Monroe will miss tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Eight players saw 20+ minutes in last nights game against the Lakers with John Henson and Miles Plumlee splitting time at center in Monroe’s place. Both are options as low-priced value plays on both DraftKings and FanDuel against a Clippers team that is 21st in center DvP.

Tony Allen stated that he would warm up tonight and try and give it a go. He’s a game time decision for the Grizzlies in their match up against the Chicago Bulls. He’s missed the past two games and with a tough match up against Jimmy Butler is not a viable DFS option.

The Spurs have announced that they will rest Tim Duncan in tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards. With the Spurs it’s tough to predict who benefits the most from Duncan’s absence but one thing to note is LaMarcus Aldridge averages more than .25 fpts/minute when Duncan is not on the court per nbawowy. We’ll update the starting lineup as soon as it is available.
