He’s coming off a torn MCL, and this pretty much confirms he’ll be limited in action today. With the heavy winds expected in Baltimore, Terrance West should get a hefty workload. West is a solid value option across the industry.

Adam Thielen will start with Diggs out

Thielen is third on the team in targets with 17. He should see a sharp increase in his snap count as the second receiver today. There has also been a lot of buzz around the industry about slot receiver Jarius Wright as he’s expected to see the field for the first time. Last year he had 442 receiving yards with no touchdowns. He’ll match up with Kareem Jackson, who scores a below-average 57.9 by Pro Football Focus. Kyle Rudolph is the only passing game option worth considering for cash, he should see a ton of looks in Diggs’ absence; he’s currently tied with the receiver with 33 targets.

Marvin Jones will play against the Eagles

This was expected to be the case despite Jones being listed on the injury report for a foot issue. He’ll get an Eagles defense that leads the league in passing DVOA and ranks third in DVOA against WR1’s, per Football Outsiders. Philadelphia hasn’t allowed a touchdown through the air this season. However, Jones should get plenty of opportunities to change that today as Eric Ebron is out and Golden Tate is off to a rough start.

Darrelle Revis inactive versus Steelers

The Jets officially designated Darrelle Revis inactive on Sunday. It’s not like Revis would have shut down Antonio Brown anyways but the Jets chance of holding Brown in check appear even more bleak now. Brown has the highest reception and yardage props among WRs. He’s an elite play today if you can afford him.

Winds are already over 15 mph at M&T Bank Stadium and RotoGrinders Meteorologist, Kevin Roth, is expecting them to exceed 20 mph by game time, with sustained winds reaching 25 mph. He’s predicting gusts will come through sporadically, reaching 35-40 mph throughout the game. There is a sharp drop-off in yards per passing attempt in weather like this, which downgrades both quarterbacks, deep-threat receivers like DeSean Jackson and Mike Wallace, and kickers. Running backs should see an boost in their workload, which will benefit Terrance West and Matt Jones the most. Defenses are also upgraded as we can expect lower scoring.

Raiders will split RB carries evenly per source

Per Adam Caplan, the Raiders plan to “Distribute RB carries evenly against the Chargers and then favor the hot hand.” That could either be really good or really bad for DeAndre Washington. The main worry for Washington owners is if Jalen Richard gets the “hot hand.” There is also some concern that Jamize Olawale could end up getting the Red Zone carries. All of that combined is enough to make Deandre Washington more suited for GPP than cash games this week.

Eddie Royal active against the Colts

Royal missed practice all week so this is a mild surpise. He’ll get a Colts defense that allows 277 passing yards per game. Last week against the Lions, Royal went off for 111 yards and a touchdown. It will be hard to expect him to put up those types of numbers again, especially with word that Alshon Jeffery is much healthier this week. Cameron Meredith would have been a major sleeper pick if Royal was unable to suit up, but will take a downgrade after this news.

Arian Foster out against Titans

This is no surprise as Foster is still recovering from a groin injury. Coach Adam Gase has stated he was going to move away from the four-man committee this weekend. Jay Ajayi should be the lead running back in this game. Despite a boost in volume it will be hard to trust Ajayi or the Miami running game. As a team they average 77.8 rushing yards per game, good for 28th in the NFL.

RB Props: Jordan Howard stands out

Among the RB yardage props posted so far, Jordan Howard stands out. Starting at the top, the props mostly follow DK/FD pricing until we get to Howard. They go: DeMarco Murray (82.5), Le’Veon Bell (82.5), C.J. Anderson (77.5), Jordan Howard (75.5). The first three listed there are priced firmly in the top tier. Jordan Howard has a similar yardage expectation but he’s available for $5200 on DK and $7200 on FD.

If you are digging through the props for a sneaky play, take a look at Bilal Powell. Even though Powell is getting out-snapped 66% to 33% by Matt Forte, Powell is getting the passing-game work. Vegas has Powell’s combined rushing and receiving yards at 49.5. They also have his receptions prop at 4. On a PPR site like DraftKings, Powell could get you ten points with ease and he’s only $4000.

Vegas Player Props highlight some value WRs

When making last minute decisions between players a great place to look is at their yardage props. This week, Vegas has a similar outlook for three popular low-end WRs. DeVante Parker, Eddie Royal, and Quincy Enunwa have yardage props of 52.5, 50.5, and 47.5 respectively. Their reception props are Enunwa 4.5, Royal 4, and Parker 3. The props imply that about 50 percent of the time these three WRs will finish with nine fantasy points or more (not counting any touchdowns).

Ka'Deem Carey active for Bears, will back up Jordan Howard

There isn’t a real danger to Howard’s workload. Carey will simply serve to break him at certain points in the game. Chicago is extremely high on Howard and they love using him in both phases of the offense. Last week against the Lions, he ran for 111 yards on 23 carries and caught 3 passes for 21 yards. He has another positive matchup today against the Colts, a team that ranks 26th in rushing DVOA. Indianapolis has allowed five rushing touchdowns, whereas the Lions haven’t allowed any this season. It would seem like Howard’s touchdown potential is higher than it was last week. Although his price has increased quite a bit on FanDuel, he’s still a great bargain on DraftKings.

LeSean McCoy will play against the Rams

McCoy injured his hand in practice earlier in the week, although it seems like it was minor. He’ll go up against a tough Rams defense that ranks 6th in adjusted line yards per carry (3.24). McCoy has played very well this season though, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. He’s been frequently involved in the passing game, catching at least three passes in each game. With Sammy Watkins out, the Bills have been relying on McCoy a lot; he has a 46.15% market share of the team’s touches. His volume will definitely be there again today, but the game has the lowest total on the board at 39.5 so his scoring opportunities may be limited.

Both Gronk and Julian Edelman will play against the Browns

They had been limited in practice this week; Gronk’s hamstring has been bothering him all season and Edelman appeared on the injury report due to a foot issue. Both will suit up for Brady’s first game back off suspension. Jason La Canfora of CBS is expecting Gronk to get back to his normal elite status this week after catching just one pass in his first two games. Edelman has been averaging a low 4.75 receptions and 49 yards with back up quarterbacks, but always does better when Brady is in the lineup. If you buy into controversial narratives, “Angry Brady” will be in full effect today. In Brady’s first game last season, which was after the whole Deflategate issue started of course, he threw for 288 yards and four touchdowns. He went on to throw 16 touchdowns over the next six games, going over 300 yards in all but one. They get the Browns today, who have allowed ten touchdowns through the air, and game flow may hurt Brady’s stats. However, if there were ever a game for Angry Brady to run up the score, it would be this one. Gronk and Edelman would be the two that benefit the most among the Patriots’ skill players.

Terrance West expected to start, Kenneth Dixon will back up

As of now, it looks like West will get at least one more week as the Ravens’ workhorse. Dixon is expected to be limited today, his first game back since suffering a knee injury in the preseason. It seems like Baltimore plans to ease Dixon back into action and eventually have him start for the team. For today, West looks like a solid value play against the Redskins, especially if the passing game is hindered by the strong winds expected in Baltimore. Last week he ran for 113 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Washington has the worst rush defense in the league in terms of DVOA and they’ve allowed a league-worst eight touchdowns on the ground.

Quincy Enunwa and Austin Seferian-Jenkins active against Steelers

Enunwa has been dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of practice on Friday, but he’s ready to go against the Steelers today. He’ll be the number two receiver for the Jets with Eric Decker out. On the season he’s averaging eight targets, 5.75 receptions, and 60.75 yards per game. Enunwa should have game flow on his side as the Jets are 7.5-point road dogs. Seferian-Jenkins will be active for the first time since New York signed him. It’s unclear what is usage will be, but the Jets have used the tight end the least of any team over the past couple of seasons.
