Pitches per PA: 4.00 (Rank: 1)
Analysis: Kluber is coming off of one of his worst starts of the season, allowing six earned runs over six innings of work. He draws a decent matchup against the Cubs, but unfortunately, the wind is blowing out to right field at a rate close to 20 MPH. We all know what the wind can do in Wrigley and with all of the talented left-handed batters in the Cubs’ lineup, Kluber is a very risky option in the all-day slate of games.
Pitcher Rating: 78.5
Jon Lester : FD: — DK: $9,600
Pitching Stats:

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.337 (Rank: 6) — Strikeout Rate: 17.9% (Rank: 5)
Pitches per PA: 3.91 (Rank: 3)
Analysis: Lester has pitched well over the last month of play, posting a 2.77 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 29.4%. He draws a difficult matchup against the Indians though, and once again, the wind is blowing out to right field. Given the fact that he is only available in the all-day slate of games, there are plenty of other pitching options on the board. Lester may be able to pick up a win here, but he will likely give up a few runs in the process.
Pitcher Rating: 82.2

Cleveland
The Indians draw a decent matchup against Jon Lester. While he has been effective against both left and right-handed hitters in check, the wind is blowing out heavily to right field. The Indians should fly under the radar today, but Francisco Lindor and Michael Brantley are both in play against the southpaw.

The Cubs are an interesting team to target. Corey Kluber is one of the best pitchers in baseball, but he has given up a .312 wOBA to left-handed hitters over the last two seasons. Pitches per PA: 3.89 (Rank: 5)
Analysis: Feldman may have a 2.25 ERA over the last month of play, but we shouldn’t put any stock into it. During that stretch, he also has a 4.49 SIERA with a low strikeout rate of 10.9%. He draws one of the worst matchups on the board tonight, as the Yankees are ranked sixth in team wOBA and tenth in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. On top of everything, Feldman has to face them in the hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium.
Pitcher Rating: 38.7

Pitches per PA: 3.88 (Rank: 7)
Analysis: Eovaldi is coming off of a terrific start against the Twins. He was throwing 100 MPH fastballs deep into that start. While he has never been a high-strikeout pitcher, you can’t teach 100 MPH. He draws an interesting matchup against the Astros, who have the highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. The Astros are also ranked dead last in team wOBA over the last two weeks of play. Eovaldi could be a sneaky SP2 tonight on multi-pitcher sites.
Pitcher Rating: 72.7

The Astros draw a fairly difficult matchup against Nathan Eovaldi, who has really kept right-handed hitters in check throughout his career. He has given up a .343 wOBA to left-handed hitters though, which puts Colby Rasmus and Luis Valbuena in play.

NY Yankees
The Yankees have one of the highest team totals on the board tonight, as they square off against Scott Feldman at home. Since the start of the 2014 season, Feldman has given up a .305+ wOBA to hitters from both sides of the plate. Jacoby Ellsbury is my top target here. Analysis: deGrom has been terrific over the last month of play, posting a 2.81 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 29.0%. He has been one of the most unhittable pitchers in all of baseball and tonight he gets to face a Phillies’ offense that is ranked 29th in team wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. He has incredible strikeout potential and he is easily the top pitching option on the board tonight.

Analysis: Morgan has not pitched well in his time in the majors. He owns a 5.28 SIERA with a low strikeout rate of 12.3%. While the Mets’ offense has been much better in recent weeks, they are still ranked 22nd in team wOBA and 28th in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching. Morgan is not a recommended play tonight, but the Mets’ offense may not be in as good of a spot as you would initially think.

NY Mets
The Mets are sizable favorites tonight against Adam Morgan, who has given up a .345 wOBA to right-handed hitters. The biggest issue with the Mets is that they are overpriced. Atlanta Braves Offense (2015)
vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.284 (Rank: 27) — Strikeout Rate: 20.9% (Rank: 14)

Analysis: De La Rosa is having a mediocre season for the Rockies. Over the last month of play, he has a 4.08 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 19.3%. He draws a nice matchup against the Braves tonight, but he is a small underdog on the road. With some of the other aces on the bump tonight, I will be avoiding De La Rosa in both cash games and tournaments.

Analysis: Teheran is a very interesting play tonight. If you have read the Grind Down before, then you should know that Teheran has some glaring home/road splits. His ERA, SIERA, and strikeout rate are all better at home. He draws a decent matchup against the Rockies, who are a much different team offensively away from Coors Field. Teheran isn’t as cheap as I’d like him to be, but he makes a nice tournament play tonight at home.

Batter Grind Down
Colorado
The Rockies may be ranked first in team wOBA against right-handed pitching this season, but a lot of that is thanks to the fact that half of their games are played in Coors Field. They are a different offense away from home. They draw a tough matchup tonight against Julio Teheran in the pitcher-friendly Turner Stadium.

Atlanta
The Braves’ offense has been an easy one to avoid over the last few weeks. They lack firepower and rarely have big offensive outings. They draw a decent matchup Jorge De La Rosa, who has given up a .329 wOBA to right-handed hitters. Nick Swisher and Adonis Garcia are both decent punt plays at their respective positions.
