Redskins WR Terrelle Pryor (ankle) and RB Chris Thompson (fibula) placed on IR
Pryor underwent ankle surgery Monday morning, which lead to the Washington Redskins’ decision to place him on injured reserve, while the team also confirmed that Chris Thompson suffered a broken fibula, effectively ending his season as well. This means that Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder will continue to work as the Redskins top-two wide receivers, in terms of target share, for the remainder of the season, with Ryan Grant working as the outside receiver when Crowder moves into the slot. Doctson is particularly interesting heading into the Thanksgiving Day slate, as he now has back-to-back games of seven targets and put up 81 yards in a tough matchup with the New Orleans Saints’ secondary. As for Thompson’s absence, Byron Marshall should take over the passing-down back role to some extent, while Semaje Perine looks to be the team’s feature back with Rob Kelley still sidelined with an injury. Head coach Jon Gruden did tell reporters that the team does plan to sign a running back prior to Thursday’s game, though Perine and Marshall appear locked in as the top running backs for at least one game given the short week.

Winston has yet to resume throwing as he continues to rest his ailing shoulder, according to Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter and has officially been ruled out for their Week 12 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. This means that Ryan Fitzpatrick will be under center for the third consecutive game and bounced back nicely in Week 11, passing for 275 yards and two touchdowns against the dismal Miami Dolphins defense.
As reported by: Mike Garafolo via TwitterCardinals confirm Blaine Gabbert will remain starter for Week 12
Gabbert will start under center once again, according to head coach Bruce Arians, for the team’s Week 12 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, marking his second consecutive start. He played extremely well Sunday, throwing for three touchdowns, but the entire Cardinals offense will find themselves in a terrible spot against a Jaguars defense that still ranks 1st in pass DVOA. That said, Larry Fitzgerald continues to be peppered with targets and will draw the “easiest” matchup in the Jacksonville secondary against Aaron Colvin, mostly avoiding Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye for the duration of the game.
As reported by: Michael DiRocco via TwitterPanthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) will play Week 12 barring a setback
Olsen is on track to make his return for Week 12 and will play in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets barring a setback with the broken foot he sustained all the way back in Week 2. At this point in the week, it’s still too early to know if, or how much, he’ll be limited but he could be in line for an even bigger target share than prior to the injury with Kelvin Benjamin now in Buffalo and rookie Curtis Samuel recently being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season.
As reported by: Joe Person via TwitterBears sign K Cairo Santos
The Chicago Bears have announced that they have signed kicker Cairo Cantos, who was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in the season after sustaining a groin injury. The team has yet to provide any clarification on his availability for Week 12, but even if active, he would likely set up as a less than the ideal option at kicker on FanDuel with the Bears traveling to Philadelphia to take on the scorching-hot Philadelphia Eagles and expected to be substantial underdogs.
As reported by: Brad Biggs via TwitterCowboys LT Tyron Smith (groin, back) officially inactive Sunday night; Darren McFadden is a healthy scratch
Smith is inactive and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, as expected, after previously being listed as questionable on the Dallas Cowboys’ injury report with separate groin and back injuries, while Darren McFadden is inactive and a healthy scratch, leaving just Alfred Morris and Rod Smith as the only running backs on the Cowboys’ active roster for Sunday night’s game. In his absence, Byron Bell will attempt to hold down the left side of the offensive line against this ferocious Eagles’ front seven. However, Smith’s absence can’t possibly be overstated following the massive six-sack performance Adrian Clayborn was able to put up by his lonesome for the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10, adding to those concerns is the fact that the Philadelphia defensive line is arguably the team’s biggest strength on defensive side of the ball, making them a viable option at defense on the primetime slates and FanDuel main slate despite the high game total.
As reported by: Brandon George via Twitter Other tagged players: Darren McFaddenAlshon Jeffery (ankle) officially active Sunday night
Jeffery is active and will play in tonight’s game against the Dallas Cowboys after previously being listed as questionable on the Philadelphia Eagles’ injury report with an ankle injury. This news is far from shocking as Jeffery was expected to play after being a full participant in Friday’s practice. Now that he’s officially active, he’ll continue his normal role as the Eagles top receiver on the outside alongside Zach Ertz, who typically does most of his damage in the middle of the field at the tight end position. The Cowboys rank 26th in pass DVOA versus starting tight ends as well, so Ertz will remain an elite option in tournaments on FanDuel’s main slate and a key cog in all formats for the primetime slates across the industry.
As reported by: Jeff McLane via TwitterDanny Amendola (knee) and Martellus Bennett (shoulder) active Sunday; Mike Gillislee a healthy scratch
Amendola and Bennett will be both be active for today’s game against the Oakland Raiders after previously being listed as questionable on the New England Patriots’ injury report as questionable with separate knee and shoulder injuries, respectively. This news doesn’t come as a shock, however, as both players were expected to suit up despite the prior injury designations. Just how much Bennett will be involved in the New England Patriots offense moving forward remains to be seen, but Amendola remains in a good spot considering the Patriots slate-high 31 points implied team total against a Raiders defense that ranks 32nd in pass DVOA. That said, he has played just under 50 percent of the team’s snaps since returning from his earlier injury and there are better places to look for fantasy goodness in this Patriots offense. Additionally, Mike Gillisee is a healthy scratch for the second straight game, clearing the way for Rex Burkhead, Dion Lewis, and James White to handle the Patriots running back snaps and workload.
As reported by: Mike Reiss via Twitter Other tagged players: Martellus Bennett, Mike GillisleeJordan Matthews (knee) inactive Sunday; Charles Clay (knee) active
Matthews will be inactive for today’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers after previously being listed as questionable on the Buffalo Bills’ injury report with a knee Injury, while Charles Clay will be active despite dealing with his own knee injury. Even with the earlier questionable designation, Clay practiced in full the entire week and was expected to play, so this news does not come as a surprise. Matthews was a different story as he was only able to be a limited participant in the Bills’ practices. The Bills receiving corps that consists of Clay, Kelvin Benjamin, and Zay Jones just got slightly less crowded, but the trio will still be forced to be on the receiving end of Nathan Peterman passes, something that isn’t a source of optimism for their fantasy value in Week 11 and moving forward. The Chargers rank 9th in pass DVOA so Peterman and his pass catchers look to possess low floors and even lower ceilings on Sunday’s slates across the industry.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport via Twitter Other tagged players: Charles ClaySaints DB Kenny Vaccaro (groin) inactive Sunday
Vaccaro will be inactive for today’s game against the Washington Redskins after previously being listed as questionable on the New Orleans Saints’ injury report with a groin injury. This is a big loss for the Saints defense, and while Vaccaro is technically a safety, he serves primarily as the slot cornerback and his absence is a massive boost to the projected fantasy value of Jamison Crowder, who is already widely mispriced across the industry given his likely target volume with Jordan Reed and Terrelle Pryor already ruled out with their respective injuries.
As reported by: Mike Triplett via TwitterJohn Brown (back) active Sunday; Andre Ellington is a healthy scratch
Brown returned to the Arizona Cardinals’ practice on Friday and will be active for today’s game against the Houston Texans after previously be expected to play. That said, the mid-week downgrade is a bit concerning given his injury history and may be in line for reduced snaps coming off a season-high 69 snaps in the Cardinals Week 10 matchup. It goes without saying that Brown should be reserved for tournament use only, but he does draw a plus matchup with a Texans defense that ranks 29th in pass DVOA versus number two wide receivers.
As reported by: Josh Weinfuss via Twitter Other tagged players: Andre EllingtonRyan Grant (concussion) active Sunday
Grant has cleared the concussion protocol and will be active for today’s game against the New Orleans Saints after previously being listed as questionable on the Washington Redskins’ injury report with the aforementioned concussion. This means Ryan Grant could see an elevated role in three-receiver sets with Jamison Crowder and Josh Doctson serving as the de facto top-two pass-catching options with Jordan Reed and Terrelle Pryor sidelined. That said, Crowder draws the far easier cornerback matchup with Doctson likely to be shadowed by Marshon Lattimore on the outside. Vernon Davis has also performed extremely well the last two weeks with Reed inactive and has seen a massive 20 targets, so despite the tough matchup with the Saints defense, remains firmly in play for tournaments as a mid-priced tight end option.
As reported by: Master Tesfatsion via TwitterDanny Woodhead (hamstring) active Sunday; Terrance West and Breshad Perriman are healthy scratches
The Baltimore Ravens officially activated Danny Woodhead from injured reserve on Saturday and will be active for today’s game against the Green Bay Packers after missing the last nine weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained during the season opener. The Ravens backfield is suddenly healthy for the first time with Woodhead, Alex Collins, Terrance West and Buck Allen all on the active roster, which is why West is the odd man out and will be a healthy scratch with Baltimore deciding to only activate three running backs this afternoon. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg already confirmed that Alex Collins will remain the team’s lead back for the foreseeable future, though that role is obviously subject to change depending on how this running back rotation shakes out throughout Sunday’s game. It’s still a cloudy situation but one would imagine this means Woodhead would serve as the passing down and change-of-pace back, if healthy, while Allen would just be around to clean up the scraps and likely see his snap count drastically reduced.
As reported by: Jamison Henley via Twitter Other tagged players: Terrance West, Breshad PerrimanAlfred Blue (hamstring) inactive Sunday
Blue is inactive for today’s game against the Arizona Cardinals after previously being listed as questionable on the Houston Texans’ injury report with a hamstring injury. This means that Lamar Miller should work as the Texans primary back, though his workload has been a concern in recent weeks, seeing less than 14 carries in each of the past two games. To make matters worse, D’Onta Foreman’s workload appears to be trending upward, compiling 18 carries in the same timespan, and may finally be out of head coach Bill O’Brien’s doghouse. This timeshare is an easy situation to avoid in daily fantasy formats with Tom Savage under center in less than an ideal matchup with the Cardinals defense.
As reported by: Aaron Wilson via TwitterSterling Shepard (migraines) officially inactive Sunday
Shepard was a late addition to the New York Giants’ injury report on Saturday for today’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs and officially will be inactive after previously being listed as questionable with migraines. This news doesn’t come as a surprise considering ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported early this morning that he was unlikely to play this afternoon. With Shepard inactive, Evan Engram and Roger Lewis look to be the main beneficiaries of additional targets. Not only has Shepard seen a massive target share since he returned from injury, but whoever takes over his role in the slot will draw an incredible matchup against Steven Nelson in the slot, who is PFF’s 122nd ranked cornerback this season.
