Matt Harvey : FD: $10,900 — DK: $11,900
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 166.1 — SIERA: 3.35 — ERA: 2.60 — K%: 24.0% — BB%: 5.2% — HR/9: 1.0
Last 30 Days: IP: 26.1 — SIERA: 2.67 — ERA: 1.71 — K%: 26.5% — BB%: 2.9% — HR/9: 0.7
Washington Nationals Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.316 (Rank: 12) — Strikeout Rate: 21.4% (Rank: 23)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.386 (Rank: 1) — Strikeout Rate: 20.7% (Rank: 20)
Pitches per PA: 3.79 (Rank: 19)
Analysis: Harvey has been dominant of late, posting a 2.67 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 26.5% over the last month of play. While the Nationals’ offense has been equally as impressive, they still have the eighth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. Harvey would be a safer option if this game was being played in Citi Field. While I won’t be using him in cash games, he is certainly worth a look in tournaments.
Pitcher Rating: 84.4
Jordan Zimmermann : FD: $9,400 — DK: $8,200
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 372.2 — SIERA: 3.48 — ERA: 2.99 — K%: 21.1% — BB%: 4.1% — HR/9: 0.8

New York Mets Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.306 (Rank: 23) — Strikeout Rate: 19.9% (Rank: 14)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.381 (Rank: 3) — Strikeout Rate: 15.1% (Rank: 2)
Pitches per PA: 3.87 (Rank: 8)
Analysis: Zimmermann has really pitched well over the last month of play, posting a 3.26 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 24.6%. He has the same issue as Matt Harvey though. The Mets’ offense has been firing on all cylinder recently, as they are ranked third in team wOBA over the last two weeks. Zimmermann is in play as an SP2 at his price point of $8,200 on DraftKings, but he can safely be avoided on single-pitcher sites.

NY Mets
The Mets draw a difficult matchup tonight against Jordan Zimmermann, who has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .315 wOBA over the last two seasons. Yoenis Cespedes has been matchup-proof recently though, so he makes an intriguing play in tournaments.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.345 (Rank: 9) — Strikeout Rate: 21.0% (Rank: 23)
Pitches per PA: 3.89 (Rank: 4)
Analysis: Gausman has been a great value play over the last month of play. His price has yet to budge, despite posting a 3.63 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 21.0% during that stretch. He should be avoided tonight against the Yankees, though. On the season, New York is ranked third in team wOBA against right-handed pitching. They also average the fourth-most pitches per plate appearance.
Pitcher Rating: 48.6
Masahiro Tanaka : FD: $9,400 — DK: $9,500

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.285 (Rank: 29) — Strikeout Rate: 25.6% (Rank: 28)
Pitches per PA: 3.81 (Rank: 17)
Analysis: Tanaka is one of the highest rated pitchers on the board tonight, after Clayton Kershaw. He has pitched well over the last month of play, posting a 3.49 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 20.7%. He draws a favorable strikeout matchup against the Orioles, who have the third-highest K-rate against right-handed pitching this season. Tanaka should also see plenty of run support to help his cause. He is a safe play in all league formats, although there is no reason to fade Clayton Kershaw.

Analysis: Weber is making his first career major league start tonight. In six Triple-A starts this season, he posted a 3.93 FIP with a strikeout rate of 12.5%. While those numbers aren’t promising, he has shown a lot of promise over the last few seasons. In these situations, I like to lean on Vegas and tonight Weber is a sizable underdog in a game that features a total of 8.5 runs.

Pitches per PA: 3.79 (Rank: 21)
Analysis: Nola has had a respectable rookie season, posting a 3.94 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 19.9% in 53 innings of work. While the Braves have one of the worst team wOBA against right-handed pitching this season, they also have the third-lowest strikeout rate. Nola is a sizable favorite at home, but he is not a safe cash game option at this point of his career.

Analysis: Dickey hasn’t been on my radar for a couple of seasons now. He used to strikeout batters at an elite rate, but now he strikes out hitters at a rate well below the league average. Analysis: Owens has not been sharp in his recent starts, posting a 4.66 SIERA (5.96 ERA) with a strikeout rate of 21.1% over the last month of play. He draws the toughest matchup in all of baseball, as he has to face the Blue Jays in a hitter-friendly ballpark. I wouldn’t take Owens tonight if the sites let me have him for free.

Toronto
The Blue Jays have to be furious with their performance yesterday, as they could only muster up two runs in a loss against Rick Porcello. They have averaged 4.8 runs per game, so you have to expect them to bounce back tonight in a favorable matchup against the young southpaw, Henry Owens. All of the right-handed hitters in this lineup are in play.

Boston
The Red Sox draw a favorable matchup against R.A. Dickey, who has been in subpar form all season. Dickey has given up a higher wOBA to right-handed hitters than he has to left-handed hitters, but David Ortiz is still the top play here. He has been on fire over the last month, posting a ridiculous .493 wOBA with a .419 ISO.
