Mark Buehrle : FD: $8,400 — DK: $7,300
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 357.0 — SIERA: 4.39 — ERA: 3.35 — K%: 12.9% — BB%: 4.7% — HR/9: 0.8

Philadelphia Phillies Offense (2015)
vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.310 (Rank: 13) — Strikeout Rate: 20.9% (Rank: 13)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.299 (Rank: 21) — Strikeout Rate: 24.2% (Rank: 27)
Pitchers per PA: 3.70 (Rank: 29)
Analysis: Buerhle is a better real-life pitcher than he is in daily fantasy. He has an extremely low strikeout rate, which caps his upside. He draws a decent matchup tonight against the Phillies, but there just isn’t enough upside to warrant fantasy consideration. The Phillies are actually a decent team against southpaws this season.
Pitcher Rating: 59.6
Adam Morgan : FD: $5,400 — DK: $4,200
Pitching Stats:

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.312 (Rank: 15) — Strikeout Rate: 21.4% (Rank: 21)
Pitchers per PA: 3.83 (Rank: 12)
Analysis: Morgan comes into tonight’s start in bad form, posting a 5.67 SIERA with a low strikeout rate of 10.1%. To make matters worse, he has to face a Blue Jays’ offense that is ranked first in the majors in team wOBA against left-handed pitching. There is no reason for Morgan to be on your radar tonight.
Pitcher Rating: 25.3

Toronto
As mentioned above, the Blue Jays are the best offense in baseball against left-handed pitching. While they are not playing at home, they have shown that they can put up big outings on the road as well. All of the right-handed hitters in this lineup are in play against Adam Morgan, who has given up a .358 wOBA to hitters from that side of the plate.

Philadelphia
The Phillies draw a decent matchup tonight against Mark Buehrle, who gives up equal splits to hitters from both sides of the plate. Chase Utley should fly under the radar tonight, but he is still an elite play even against the lefty. Utley has been red-hot since coming back from injury and he has hit southpaws well throughout his career.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.368 (Rank: 2) — Strikeout Rate: 19.5% (Rank: 7)
Pitchers per PA: 3.78 (Rank: 20)
Analysis: Ray has pitched well recently, posting a 3.77 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 23.2%. He draws a tough matchup against the Pirates though, and if we have learned anything in this series, it’s that these games are not going to be pitcher’s duels. Both of these offenses are firing on all cylinders right now, making both pitchers easy fades.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.346 (Rank: 8) — Strikeout Rate: 20.8% (Rank: 17)
Pitchers per PA: 3.72 (Rank: 28)
Analysis: Happ is one of those pitchers that rarely inspires a ton of confidence when it comes to daily fantasy. He has an average SIERA and he struggles with consistency. He draws a difficult matchup tonight against the Diamondbacks, who are ranked ninth in team wOBA and 17th in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this season. Don’t be surprised if this game turns into another shootout.

The Diamondbacks are in a nice spot tonight against J.A. Happ. They have had no trouble scoring runs in this series and Happ has given up a .329+ wOBA to hitters from both sides of the plate over the last two seasons. Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.351 (Rank: 6) — Strikeout Rate: 20.8% (Rank: 17)
Pitchers per PA: 3.82 (Rank: 14)
Analysis: Syndergaard is having a truly impressive rookie season with a 3.11 SIERA and a strikeout rate of 25.9%. He has pitched well at home and on the road. He will face a tough test tonight against the Orioles, but the strikeout potential is certainly there. On the season, the Orioles are ranked eighth in team wOBA and 28th in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. He’s a little too expensive to make him an automatic play, but he certainly deserves consideration against a strikeout-happy Orioles team.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.315 (Rank: 13) — Strikeout Rate: 24.6% (Rank: 28)
Pitchers per PA: 3.88 (Rank: 5)
Analysis: Jimenez has not pitched well recently, posting a 7.39 ERA (4.11 SIERA) with a strikeout rate of only 16.8%. He has struggled to keep the ball in the park, which could be a problem against a Mets’ team that surprisingly hits quite a few home runs. The Mets have been much better offensively in recent weeks and Jimenez is in bad form. He should only be used as a tournament option tonight at home.

Analysis: Guthrie has been as awful as ever, posting a 5.41 SIERA with a strikeout rate of only 8.8% over the last month of play. He is an easy pitcher to avoid tonight against the Reds, who have the ninth-lowest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. Analysis: Sampson has pitched pretty well in his first three major league starts, posting a 4.24 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 21.4%. He will face his toughest test to date, as the Royals are ranked ninth in team wOBA and first in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. It would take a near perfect matchup to target Sampson in cash games and he doesn’t have that tonight against the Royals.

Corey Kluber : FD: $12,000 — DK: $11,200
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 416.1 — SIERA: 2.74 — ERA: 2.83 — K%: 27.8% — BB%: 5.1% — HR/9: 0.6
Last 30 Days: IP: 47.1 — SIERA: 3.46 — ERA: 3.23 — K%: 21.7% — BB%: 3.3% — HR/9: 0.6
Boston Red Sox Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.314 (Rank: 12) — Strikeout Rate: 16.7% (Rank: 2)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.377 (Rank: 1) — Strikeout Rate: 18.1% (Rank: 5)
Pitchers per PA: 3.96 (Rank: 2)
Analysis: Kluber has been one of the best pitchers in baseball over the last two seasons, posting a 2.74 SIERA with an elite strikeout rate of 27.8%. He has been in good form recently, but he draws a difficult matchup tonight against the Red Sox, who have the second-lowest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. At this price point, Dallas Keuchel looks like the better play of the two in cash games.
Pitcher Rating: 87.3
Joe Kelly : FD: $6,200 — DK: $5,600
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 196.0 — SIERA: 4.22 — ERA: 4.96 — K%: 17.8% — BB%: 9.2% — HR/9: 1.0
Last 30 Days: IP: 25.0 — SIERA: 3.46 — ERA: 5.76 — K%: 23.7% — BB%: 5.3% — HR/9: 1.8
Cleveland Indians Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.310 (Rank: 15) — Strikeout Rate: 18.9% (Rank: 6)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.335 (Rank: 11) — Strikeout Rate: 19.8% (Rank: 8)
Pitchers per PA: 3.91 (Rank: 3)
Analysis: Kelly has a 5.76 ERA over the last month of play, but has a 3.46 SIERA and a strikeout rate of 23.7% during that same stretch, so his peripheral statistics look good. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to warrant fantasy consideration. He draws a difficult matchup tonight against the Indians, who are ranked 15th in team wOBA and sixth in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season.
Pitcher Rating: 51.2

Cleveland
The Indians draw a favorable matchup tonight against Joe Kelly and they get to face him in the hitter-friendly Fenway Park. Kelly is a reverse-splits pitcher, but he has also struggled with left-handed hitters, so bats from both sides of the plate are in play here.

Boston
The Red Sox are in a bad matchup tonight against Corey Kluber, but at least they get to face him at home. Boston can be avoided in cash games, but David Ortiz is worth a look in tournaments. He has been red-hot recently, posting a .470 wOBA and a .378 ISO over the last month of play.
