Miami Marlins vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.288 (Rank: 30)
Strikeout Rate: 20.2% (Rank: 17)
Despaigne simply does not have the upside needed to be a daily fantasy pitcher. He rarely pitches deep into ballgames, while holding down one of the lowest strikeout rates of the starts today at 12.6%. With the upside limited, we can avoid Despaigne today. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5,200 FD, $4,000 DK
San Diego Padres vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.290 (Rank: 28)
Strikeout Rate: 22.1% (Rank: 27)
Urena hasn’t pitched in over a month in the big leagues and was below average in his seven starts earlier in the season. He posted a SIERA of 5.03 while having an extremely low 10.7% strikeout rate. The upside is very limited, even with the prime matchup against the Padres tonight. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5,200 FD, $4,000 DK
Batter Grind Down
San Diego
This Padres offense is bad, but a matchup against Urena and the Marlins might get their bats going a bit today. With much better matchups and better offenses on the board, use these guys as a cheap source of production, depending on where they are at in the lineup and salary.

Minnesota Twins vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.313 (Rank: 11)
Strikeout Rate: 19.2% (Rank: 7)
Montgomery has simply been average over the course of the season as he holds a 4.30 SIERA and 17% strikeout rate. He has struggled recently and has allowed seven home runs over his last five starts. He is facing a Twins squad that can hit lefties and he should be avoided today. Rating = 4.5
Salaries: $7,500 FD, $6,600 DK
Seattle Mariners vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.304 (Rank: 22)
Strikeout Rate: 21.7% (Rank: 25)
The wheels have fallen off Gibson a bit recently. Over his last two starts he has allowed 16 hits and 12 earned runs. With that said, Gibson has been a decent pitcher this year as he sports a 3.93 SIERA. Today, he gets a much easier opponent than he has over those two starts as the Mariners are ranked 22nd in team wOBA and 25th in strikeout rate against righties. His low strikeout rate of 17% does not make him a huge upside play, but is a solid SP2. Rating = 6
Salaries: $6,700 FD, $7,000 DK
Batter Grind Down
Seattle
Gibson has been struggling over his last two starts, so we cannot be sure what we are going to get out of him tonight. Throwing a cheap Mariners stack at him in not out of the question, yet do not put too much faith in their bats. Check the status of Cano before setting your lineup as he has been hurt recently.

Minnesota has some bats that should be able to light up left-handed pitching and are in a decent spot against Montgomery tonight. Look for Dozier to be one of the top second base plays on the slate, while some of the cheaper guys may be a good source of salary relief in this matchup.

Jorge De La Rosa
St. Louis Cardinals vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.296 (Rank: 23)
Strikeout Rate: 23.7% (Rank: 27)
Prior to his last two rough outings, De La Rosa had been pitching quite well. He had gone five straight starts without allowing more than two earned runs and seven of his last eight. With that said, he is difficult to trust tonight even against a Cardinals offense that has not been great recently. There are better, cheap options on the slate. Rating = 5.5
Salaries: $6,300 FD, $6,400 DK
Colorado Rockies vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.345 (Rank: 1)
Strikeout Rate: 19.5% (Rank: 13)
Lynn has been a very solid starter for the Cardinals this season and very good recently. In the month of July, Lynn posted a SIERA of 3.12 while striking batters out at a high 27.6% rate. The matchup is a bit tough as the Rockies are the top-ranked team against right-handed pitching, but they are a much different offensive squad away from Coors. Lynn makes a decent cash game play and tournament play at a bit cheaper than the other studs. Rating = 7.5
Salaries: $9,600 FD, $10,200 DK
Batter Grind Down
Colorado
The matchup against Lynn is too tough to trust any of the Rockies in cash game format tonight, yet CarGo is way to hot to completely ignore against right-handed pitching at the moment.

Texas Rangers vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.323 (Rank: 18)
Strikeout Rate: 19.5% (Rank: 15)
Heston has been great for the Giants this year. After 20 starts, Heston has posted a 3.48 SIERA to go along with his average 19.5% strikeout rate. The problem tonight becomes the matchup and the park factors. The number of lefty bats in this Rangers lineup could be troublesome for Heston and there are much better matchups to attack for your pitching spot tonight. Rating = 6
Salaries: $7,700 FD, $5,000 DK
San Francisco Giants vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: .307 (Rank: 15)
Strikeout Rate: 19.8% (Rank: 12)
Coming off that no-hitter against the Cubs, Hamels will take his talents to Texas for his first start tonight. He has a decent matchup against the Giants who are middle of the league in team wOBA against lefties as they are a much better at hitting right-handed pitching. Hamels is going to want to make a statement in this game and is ranked just under Cole, Keuchel and deGrom and could be a great tournament play as he should be owned at a smaller percentage than the others. Rating = 7
Salaries: $10,500 FD, $9,800 DK

The Giants are in a tough spot tonight against Hamels making his first start. Even in the Rangers’ ballpark, the Giants’ team total is set at under 4 and the bats should be reserved as tournament plays only.

Oakland Athletics vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.308 (Rank: 18)
Strikeout Rate: 17.6% (Rank: 4)
Anderson had been rolling along for his first four starts of the year, but the advanced statistics show a bit of luck has been involved. His SIERA of 4.64 showed some major regression and we have seen it in his last two starts as he has allowed 11 earned runs in 8.1 innings. Add that to his sub-10% strikeout rate and consider him an easy avoid tonight. Rating = 4

Aaron Brooks will be making his first start for the Athletics tonight. Brooks struggled mightily in his two appearances in the majors in 2014 and allowed three earned runs in 4.1 innings this year. His minor league stats are nothing special and should be avoided against all the lefties the Indians will throw at him. Rating = 3.5
Salaries: $4,600 FD, $4,100 DK
