Yovani Gallardo

Detroit Tigers vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.324 (Rank: 5)
Strikeout Rate: 20.1% (Rank: 22)

You know the story at this point, Gallardo’s ERA of 3.39 does not tell the whole story. His SIERA of 4.56 tell us that regression towards the end of the season will be in order most likely and we have start to see it as his ERA has risen almost a full run over the last month of play. This Tigers squad is a bit healthier with Miggy in the lineup, and Gallardo should be avoided. Rating = 4.5

Salaries: $7,700 FD, $6,200 DK

Randy Wolf

Texas Rangers vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.309 (Rank: 17)
Strikeout Rate: 22.5% (Rank: 23)

Randy Wolf will be making his first start of the year for the Tigers and the 39-year-old should be avoided in all formats. He has pitched well in 23 starts this year in the minors (2.97 FIP), but he has a tough matchup against the Rangers tonight as an underdog with a total of nine. He is a safe avoid as he does not possess high strikeout potential. Rating = 4

Salaries: $4,700 FD, $4,000 DK

Batter Grind Down

Texas

This Rangers squad should be able to get to Wolf early and often. They have a big 4.79 team total for this matchup and most of their bats are in play, especially the righties that will be hitting high in the order.

This Tigers squad is in a great spot, especially with Miguel Cabrera back in the lineup. All he has done since rejoining Detroit is have 13 hits in seven games, including six doubles and a home run. This game has the looks of a shoot-out and both offenses are fully in play.

Zack Greinke

Houston Astros vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.316 (Rank: 11)
Strikeout Rate: 24.2% (Rank: 29)

Greinke has been stellar as he brings in a 3.17 SIERA and a solid 23.8% strikeout rate into the matchup tonight. He has a solid matchup against the hit or miss Astros squad that strikes out at a 24.2% clip, while also hitting righties at a wOBA of .316. With that said, Greinke has been so consistent this year, and is the top pitching option going tonight if you can pay the price. Rating = 9

Salaries: $12,500 FD, $11,700 DK

Scott Kazmir

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.326 (Rank: 6)
Strikeout Rate: 20.6% (Rank: 11)

Kazmir had his first rough start since joining this Astros squad. Yet, over the last 30 days, Kazmir has been solid with a SIERA of 3.87 and a 21.5% strikeout rate. Run support may be difficult and Kaz also has a tough matchup against the Dodgers who hit lefties well with a team wOBA of .326. With other guys around his price tag in better spots, Kazmir is a tournament play only tonight. Rating = 7

Salaries: $9,000 FD, $10,300 DK

Batter Grind Down

LA Dodgers

Kazmir has not been great since joining this Houston squad and it does not get a whole lot easier against the Dodgers. Vegas projects this game to be low scoring as the Dodgers are just slight favorites with a total of seven, so don’t go crazy with the Dodgers bats, but there are a few guys that should be cheap and in good spots. Puig is one of those guys, but check to see if he is back in the lineup.

Randall Delgado

Cincinnati Reds vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.305 (Rank: 23)
Strikeout Rate: 19.5% (Rank: 23)

Delgado will make the start today after Hellickson fell to the DL. Delgado has been pitching out of the bullpen this season and will be making his first start. In relief, he has pitched well (3.75 SIERA), but the big problem here should be how much of a leash he has, since he has pitched a maximum of two innings in his last ten appearances. Due to this, he is a safe avoid tonight. Rating = 3

Salaries: $5,700 FD, $4,500 DK

Anthony DeSclafani

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.317 (Rank: 10)
Strikeout Rate: 20.9% (Rank: 21)

DeSclafani has been a serviceable real life starter for the Reds this year but does not possess the qualities of someone to target for DFS purposes. He comes into this game with a SIERA of 4.39 on the year and a low 17.7% strikeout rate. This Diamondback offense is surging a bit recently and DeSclafani does not have enough upside to target in this matchup. Rating = 4.5

Salaries: $7,000 FD, $7,000 DK

Batter Grind Down

Arizona

This Diamondbacks offense has been playing very well recently as they have put up 33 runs in their last eight games. They have a great matchup against DeSclafani tonight, which puts Goldy into an elite status as well as Peralta and Pollock who have been hitting the ball very well as well.

Delgado has allowed lefties a wOBA of over .300 this year, which puts the big bats of the Reds clearly in play. They will also be seeing a lot of the bullpen today as Delgado should pitch 3-4 innings tonight, and the Diamondbacks a bottom of the league pen at the moment.

Aaron Harang

Miami Marlins vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.292 (Rank: 30)
Strikeout Rate: 19.4% (Rank: 20)

Harang is making the start tonight for the Phillies, which means to look for other options on the slate. He has been pitching very poorly lately as he has allowed 18 earned runs over his last three starts. Avoid him tonight. Rating = 3

Salaries: $5,400 FD, $4,800 DK

Justin Nicolino

Philidelphia Phillies vs. LH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.286 (Rank: 26)
Strikeout Rate: 24.2% (Rank: 29)

This Phillies squad has been better offensively lately and Nicolino has not been good. He has a allowed 11 earned runs over his last three starts and his strikeout rate of 7.3% is one of the lowest you will see from any starter. Avoid both the pitchers in this matchup. Rating = 4

The Phillies could make for some solid, cheaper options tonight against Nicolino. The likes of guys like Blanco, Francoeur and Hernandez should be batting high up in the order at a discount, which may allow you to fit in some of the big bats from other games tonight.

Yordano Ventura

Boston Red Sox vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.315 (Rank: 12)
Strikeout Rate: 16.8% (Rank: 2)

Ventura has been a bit up and down this season. He comes into this game with a 3.94 SIERA and a 19.8% strikeout rate. The matchup tonight is the problem as the Red Sox are a solid offense against right-handed pitching (.315 wOBA) and strikeout at a very low 16.8% rate. There are better options at his price point tonight. Rating = 5

Salaries: $8,300 FD, $6,400 DK

Matt Barnes

Kansas City Royals vs. RH Pitching: (2015)
wOBA: 0.319 (Rank: 9)
Strikeout Rate: 15.7% (Rank: 1)

Barnes was roughed up pretty badly in his first career start. Prior, he had pitched 27 innings of relief as well as a few starts in the minors. Like Ventura, the matchup is the issue here as the Royals who strikeout at a lower rate than the Red Sox at a 15.7% clip. He is an easy avoid tonight. =. Rating = 4
