You know the story at this point, Gallardo’s ERA of 3.39 does not tell the whole story. His SIERA of 4.56 tell us that regression towards the end of the season will be in order most likely and we have start to see it as his ERA has risen almost a full run over the last month of play. This Tigers squad is a bit healthier with Miggy in the lineup, and Gallardo should be avoided. Rating = 4.5

Randy Wolf

Texas Rangers vs. LH Pitching: (2015)

Strikeout Rate: 22.5% (Rank: 23)

Randy Wolf will be making his first start of the year for the Tigers and the 39-year-old should be avoided in all formats. He has pitched well in 23 starts this year in the minors (2.97 FIP), but he has a tough matchup against the Rangers tonight as an underdog with a total of nine. He is a safe avoid as he does not possess high strikeout potential. Rating = 4

Greinke has been stellar as he brings in a 3.17 SIERA and a solid 23.8% strikeout rate into the matchup tonight. He has a solid matchup against the hit or miss Astros squad that strikes out at a 24.2% clip, while also hitting righties at a wOBA of .316. With that said, Greinke has been so consistent this year, and is the top pitching option going tonight if you can pay the price. Rating = 9

Scott Kazmir

Kazmir had his first rough start since joining this Astros squad. Yet, over the last 30 days, Kazmir has been solid with a SIERA of 3.87 and a 21.5% strikeout rate. Run support may be difficult and Kaz also has a tough matchup against the Dodgers who hit lefties well with a team wOBA of .326. With other guys around his price tag in better spots, Kazmir is a tournament play only tonight. Rating = 7

LA Dodgers

Kazmir has not been great since joining this Houston squad and it does not get a whole lot easier against the Dodgers. Vegas projects this game to be low scoring as the Dodgers are just slight favorites with a total of seven, so don’t go crazy with the Dodgers bats, but there are a few guys that should be cheap and in good spots. Puig is one of those guys, but check to see if he is back in the lineup.

Delgado will make the start today after Hellickson fell to the DL. Delgado has been pitching out of the bullpen this season and will be making his first start. In relief, he has pitched well (3.75 SIERA), but the big problem here should be how much of a leash he has, since he has pitched a maximum of two innings in his last ten appearances. Due to this, he is a safe avoid tonight. Rating = 3

Anthony DeSclafani

DeSclafani has been a serviceable real life starter for the Reds this year but does not possess the qualities of someone to target for DFS purposes. He comes into this game with a SIERA of 4.39 on the year and a low 17.7% strikeout rate. This Diamondback offense is surging a bit recently and DeSclafani does not have enough upside to target in this matchup. Rating = 4.5

This Diamondbacks offense has been playing very well recently as they have put up 33 runs in their last eight games. They have a great matchup against DeSclafani tonight, which puts Goldy into an elite status as well as Peralta and Pollock who have been hitting the ball very well as well.
