Jerad Eickhoff

Eickhoff continues this series of bad pitching against bad hitting. He does come into this game off his best start by far against the Cubs and is just a small underdog going tonight. Regardless, taking him in any format is a huge risk and not worth it. Rating = 4.5

Ryan Weber

Weber has made two starts so far this season and has pitched decently, but not well enough to be worth any sort of consideration for DFS. His minor league numbers show a very low strikeout pitcher, which has continued into the majors (8.7%). Avoid him tonight as well. Rating = 3.5

Both of these teams sport a 4+ team total as they are both facing bad pitching. The Phillies should be a great source of value on the night slate in order to get Kershaw in your lineup.

Richards has rolled along to a decent year (3.97 SIERA, 19.7% strikeout rate). The problem with him this year is he has really yet to put together a string of solid high fantasy output starts. He has a decent matchup against the Twins who are much worse against right-handed pitching, but there are better options tonight. Rating = 6.5

Mike Pelfrey

Pelfrey is always a great pitcher to pick on and that has continued recently. Over the last month, he sports a SIERA of 4.35, while posting a very low strikeout rate of 13.5%. Avoid him against the Angels tonight. Rating = 4

Pelfrey has allowed a .359 wOBA to left-handed bats and a .309 wOBA to righties on the season. Mike Trout is a clear, elite play tonight, while Kole Calhoun and Albert Pujols are in great spots as well.

Nuno has been solid in and out of the bullpen this year. The problem tonight is the matchup as he has to go into Arlington against the Rangers who have the highest team total of the night slate of any team not in Coors. Avoid him tonight. Rating = 4

Hamels comes into this game with a 4.09 SIERA over the last month of play and a bit of a low, 18.2% strikeout rate. He is a big favorite in this one against the Mariners who have a team total of 3.92. He makes a decent tournament play tonight due to the matchup. Rating = 7.5

Hamels has kept batters to a wOBA under .295 from both sides of the plate this year. While the overall total is high for this game, the Mariners have a low total and should be avoided against Hamels other than Nelson Cruz who has crushed lefties all year long.

Erlin is another pitcher that is tough to target. He comes into this game making his first start in the majors this year after pitching for the season in Triple AAA. Pitching in Coors for your first start is not ideal and he should be avoided. Rating = 3

Flande has not been terrible this year (4.15 SIERA) but lacks any value to be used for DFS. His 15.3% strikeout rate and 1.98 HR/9 make him an easy pitcher to avoid in Coors tonight. Rating = 3

Liriano has been really inconsistent over the last month of play. He will try to right the ship tonight against a solid Dodger squad that is ranked ninth in the league against lefties. He always has high upside due to his 26.2% strikeout rate, but the win will be tough with Kershaw on the mound against him. He is a tournament play only. Rating = 7

Clayton Kershaw

There is a lot we could say about Kershaw as he the top option pretty much any time he takes the mound. The question whether you should be paying up for his price, which is never a bad idea for cash games as he has the highest floor of any pitcher. Rating = 9.5
