Drew Hutchison : FD: $8,200 — DK: $7,200
Pitching Stats:

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.253 (Rank: 30) — Strikeout Rate: 22.5% (Rank: 24)
Pitches per PA: 3.81 (Rank: 17)
Analysis: The Blue Jays clinched the division yesterday and after what was likely a wild night, they will throw out their Triple-A lineup today against the Orioles. Hutchison is on the bump, but he has been in bad form recently, posting a 4.11 SIERA (7.63 ERA) with a low strikeout rate of 16.9%. He should be avoided on the road today against the Orioles, who have the third-highest team wOBA against right-handed pitching this season.
Pitcher Rating: 63.4
Tyler Wilson : FD: $5,500 — DK: $4,500
Pitching Stats:

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.362 (Rank: 2) — Strikeout Rate: 18.5% (Rank: 5)
Pitches per PA: 3.86 (Rank: 9)
Analysis: Wilson has not had a ton of success at the major league level, posting a 4.93 SIERA with a strikeout rate of only 8.3%. While he draws a terrific matchup against the Blue Jays’ reserves, that’s not enough to warrant fantasy consideration today. Wilson still has very limited upside.
Pitcher Rating: 30.9

Toronto
Even though the Blue Jays don’t have their heavy hitters today, that doesn’t mean that we have to avoid taking players in this lineup. They draw a favorable matchup against Tyler Wilson and they get to face him in the hitter-friendly Camden Yards. The Blue Jays are a great source of value.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.267 (Rank: 29) — Strikeout Rate: 27.9% (Rank: 30)
Pitches per PA: 3.74 (Rank: 25)
Analysis: Gilmartin will draw the start for the Mets. He has made 49 appearances out of the bullpen, but he has yet to make a start. He is not expected to pitch deep into this game, which really limits his fantasy appeal. It’s hard to expect more than 3-4 innings out of him, even in a favorable matchup against the Phillies.

Pitches per PA: 3.88 (Rank: 6)
Analysis: Eickhoff has been a serviceable pitcher for the Phillies this season, posting a 3.90 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 22.0%. He draws a decent matchup today against the Mets, who will give most of their usual starters the day off. It gives Eickhoff a big boost, although he is still a small underdog at home. He is still a bit too risky to use cash games, but he makes a nice tournament target in the early slate.
Pitcher Rating: 61.5

NY Mets
The Mets’ lineup doesn’t look nearly as potent as usual, but all that means is that players that usually hit at the bottom of the order will get a chance to hit in more favorable positions. The left-handed hitters have the edge here, as Jerad Eickhoff has given up a .349 wOBA to hitters from that side of the plate.

Analysis: Hammel has a 6.46 ERA over the last month of play, but his indicators tell another story. During that same stretch, he has a 3.91 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 21.3%. He draws a favorable matchup against the Reds, whose lineups haven’t been anything to write home about recently. Give Hammel a sizable boost if Joey Votto is out of the lineup again. Hammel is the top pitching option in the early slate.

Analysis: Lamb has pitched well in his first stint in the majors, posting a 3.51 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 26.3%. He draws a decent matchup today against the Cubs, who have the highest strikeout rate of any team against left-handed pitching this season. I love the upside that he provides at his price point, the only question is whether or not he will get enough run support to put him in line to get the win.

Analysis: Speaking of low strikeout rates, Hudson has one of the lowest of any starter in all of baseball. Since the start of last season, he has only struck out 14.0% of the hitters that he has faced. With the Dodgers still fighting with the Mets for the two seed in the National League, they will likely have their everyday starters in their lineup. If that’s the case, Hudson can be avoided in both cash games and tournaments.

Taylor Jungmann : FD: $8,200 — DK: $8,300
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 116.1 — SIERA: 4.02 — ERA: 3.64 — K%: 21.7% — BB%: 8.9% — HR/9: 0.8

San Diego Padres Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.300 (Rank: 27) — Strikeout Rate: 21.5% (Rank: 25)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.312 (Rank: 20) — Strikeout Rate: 22.3% (Rank: 19)
Pitches per PA: 3.85 (Rank: 11)
Analysis: Jungmann has not pitched well over the last month of play, posting a 4.45 SIERA (7.71 ERA) with a walk rate of 9.5%. He draws a favorable matchup against the Padres, who are ranked 27th in team wOBA and 25th in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. The strikeout potential is there, but he seems a bit overpriced for his current form.
Pitcher Rating: 58.6
Ian Kennedy : FD: $8,000 — DK: $7,300
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 363.1 — SIERA: 3.60 — ERA: 3.96 — K%: 24.1% — BB%: 7.9% — HR/9: 1.1

Milwaukee Brewers Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.311 (Rank: 19) — Strikeout Rate: 20.9% (Rank: 22)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.289 (Rank: 28) — Strikeout Rate: 25.0% (Rank: 28)
Pitches per PA: 3.74 (Rank: 26)
Analysis: This is a strange start time, as this game is only included in a couple of different slates across the industry. It’s too bad, because Kennedy would be the top pitching option if this game was included in the early slate. He draws a terrific matchup against the Brewers, who are ranked 28th in both team wOBA and strikeout rate over the last two weeks. He has good strikeout potential and he is pitching at home in Petco Park.
Pitcher Rating: 84.2

Milwaukee
The Brewers draw a difficult matchup tonight against Ian Kennedy. They have one of the lowest team totals on the board, but Kennedy has allowed a .325 wOBA to left-handed hitters. Adam Lind and Scooter Gennett are both secondary options.

San Diego
The Padres draw a mediocre matchup against Taylor Jungmann, who has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .310 wOBA over the last two seasons. Cory Spangenberg is the only fantasy option on my radar in this one.
