Brandon Finnegan : FD: $5,600 — DK: $6,000
Pitching Stats:

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.307 (Rank: 24) — Strikeout Rate: 25.7% (Rank: 28)
Pitches per PA: 3.83 (Rank: 15)
Analysis: Finnegan pitched well in his first major league start, striking out four batters in five innings of work. He draws a favorable matchup tonight against the Cardinals, who are ranked 26th in team wOBA and 29th in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this season. The problem is that Finnegan isn’t experienced enough to trust in daily fantasy. There are better pitching options on the board tonight.
Pitcher Rating: 62.9
Lance Lynn : FD: $8,500 — DK: $8,400
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 363.0 — SIERA: 3.92 — ERA: 2.98 — K%: 21.6% — BB%: 8.8% — HR/9: 0.6

Cincinnati Reds Offense (2015)

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.321 (Rank: 18) — Strikeout Rate: 23.7% (Rank: 24)
Pitches per PA: 3.80 (Rank: 18)
Analysis: Lynn has been in terrible form over the last month of play, posting a 5.78 SIERA with a walk rate that is higher than his strikeout rate. We rarely like to target pitchers in bad form and with all of the other great pitching options available, there is no reason to take the risk with Lynn tonight. Kyle Hendricks is a much better play at this price point.
Pitcher Rating: 70.2

The Reds draw a mediocre matchup tonight against Lance Lynn. While he hasn’t been in the best of form recently, the Reds are still large underdogs in a game that features a low run total. Joey Votto and Jay Bruce are in play, but they are secondary options at their respective positions.

The Pirates are the top offense to target again tonight, as they face Christian Bergman in Coors Field. Load up on Pirates’ bats in both cash games and tournaments. As I mentioned on Page 2, you can really load up on hitters in this game if you decide to take a cheaper route at pitcher.

Analysis: Anderson has been in subpar form recently, posting a 4.47 SIERA with a low strikeout rate of 15.5% over the last month of play. He draws a difficult matchup tonight against the Dodgers, who have the third-highest team wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. To make matters worse, run support will be limited with Zack Greinke is pitching opposite him.
Pitcher Rating: 49.5
Editor’s Note: Zack Greinke has been scratched from tonight’s start. A new starter has not yet been named.

Analysis: Greinke is still making his case for the National League Cy Young award. After Jake Arrieta pitched a complete-game shutout last night, Greinke needs a big outing tonight to sway the voters. Although, Clayton Kershaw may have something to say about it as well. Greinke has been terrific over the last month of play, posting a 3.50 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 22.0%. He is right there with Max Scherzer as the top pitching option on the board tonight.

Batter Grind Down
Arizona
The Diamondbacks draw a terrible matchup against Zack Greinke, who has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .260 wOBA over the last two seasons. The Diamondbacks should be avoided in all league formats.

LA Dodgers
The Dodgers draw a favorable matchup tonight against Chase Anderson, who has allowed a .326+ wOBA to both left and right-handed hitters over the last two seasons. Adrian Gonzalez may be my favorite value play tonight on FanDuel. He has a .375 wOBA against right-handed pitching over the last two seasons and he is priced at a steep discount of $2,900.
