Wily Peralta : FD: $5,600 — DK: $4,800
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 302.2 — SIERA: 4.04 — ERA: 3.84 — K%: 16.4% — BB%: 7.3% — HR/9: 1.1

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.346 (Rank: 4) — Strikeout Rate: 24.5% (Rank: 26)
Pitches per PA: 3.98 (Rank: 1)
Analysis: Peralta has not pitched well recently, posting a 5.01 SIERA with a strikeout rate of only 11.5% over the last month of play. This is an awful matchup for him, as he gives up much higher splits to left-handed hitters than he does to right-handed hitters. This Cubs’ lineup is full of talented left-handed bats.
Pitcher Rating: 45.8
Jason Hammel : FD: $8,000 — DK: $7,800
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 333.0 — SIERA: 3.48 — ERA: 3.59 — K%: 23.3% — BB%: 6.1% — HR/9: 1.2

Milwaukee Brewers Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.311 (Rank: 18) — Strikeout Rate: 20.8% (Rank: 21)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.314 (Rank: 20) — Strikeout Rate: 24.8% (Rank: 27)
Pitches per PA: 3.75 (Rank: 25)
Analysis: Hammel has not had luck on his side this season, especially over the last month of play. During that stretch, he has a 3.85 SIERA and a strikeout rate of 24.4%, but his ERA is at 5.54. Hammel is a large favorite tonight at home and the wind is not blowing out at Wrigley Field, which helps his fantasy appeal. Hammel deserves strong consideration as an SP2 on multi-pitcher sites. Take advantage of the cheap price tag tonight against the Brewers.
Pitcher Rating: 83.9

Milwaukee
The Brewers draw a difficult matchup tonight against Jason Hammel, who has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .305 wOBA over the last two seasons. Adam Lind and Scooter Gennett are both secondary options here, but they are not must-starts at their respective positions by any means.

Chicago Cubs
The Cubs are one of my favorite offenses to target tonight. There are a number of favorable matchups on the board, which should lead to a lower ownership for the Cubs’ offense. They draw a favorable matchup against Wily Peralta, who has given up a .365 wOBA to left-handed hitters over the last two seasons.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.343 (Rank: 5) — Strikeout Rate: 17.7% (Rank: 1)
Pitches per PA: 3.87 (Rank: 8)
Analysis: Weaver has not pitched well since coming back from injury. Over the last month of play, he owns a 5.66 SIERA with a strikeout rate of only 12.4%. He draws a difficult matchup tonight against the Astros, who are ranked fifth in team wOBA and first in strikeout rate over the last two weeks. Given his limited upside, it would take a near perfect outing to pay off his salary. I don’t see that happening tonight in Houston.
Pitcher Rating: 38.5
Dallas Keuchel : FD: $11,100 — DK: $11,400
Pitching Stats:

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.308 (Rank: 22) — Strikeout Rate: 20.4% (Rank: 14)
Pitches per PA: 3.79 (Rank: 20)
Analysis: Keuchel is coming off of his worst start of possibly the entire season. He allowed nine runs against the Rangers in a series where the Astros just didn’t look like themselves. I fully expect him to bounce back tonight at home against the Angels, who have the fourth-lowest team wOBA against left-handed pitching this season. Keuchel has an elite strikeout rate this season and he is a large favorite at home. He is a strong play in all league formats tonight.
Pitcher Rating: 86.6

LA Angels
The Angels may see a small ballpark boost tonight playing in Minute Maid Park, but they draw a difficult matchup against Dallas Keuchel. Since the start of last season, Keuchel has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .285 wOBA. Mike Trout is the only fantasy option of note here.

The Astros draw a favorable matchup tonight against Jered Weaver. While the left-handed hitters have the splits in their favor, don’t count out the right-handed bats in this lineup. George Springer finally appears to be heating up and he is still underpriced on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Analysis: Lamb has shown great potential in his first stint in the major leagues. In his first 37 innings of work, he owns a 3.55 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 25.9%. He draws a favorable matchup tonight against the Cardinals, who are ranked 26th in team wOBA and 29th in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this season. Vegas doesn’t love Lamb in this matchup, but he could be a very sneaky tournament play. He offers great upside at his price point.

Pitches per PA: 3.80 (Rank: 18)
Analysis: Garcia has not been very sharp recently, although most pitchers would take a 3.87 SIERA and a strikeout rate of 16.9% over the course of a month. He draws a mediocre matchup tonight against the Reds, who are ranked 13th in team wOBA and tenth in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this season. Garcia should be in line for the win in this one, but there are better pitching options on the board tonight.

The Reds played well against Jaime Garcia in their last meeting, although this time they have to face him in St. Louis. Garcia has been tough on right-handed hitters, holding them to a .253 wOBA. Looking at the splits, the Cardinals draw a favorable matchup against John Lamb, who has allowed a .354+ wOBA to both left and right-handed hitters this season. While that’s true, Lamb’s indicators suggest that he is actually pitching much better than his ERA would suggest. The Cardinals are in a decent spot here, but let’s not go overboard.

Pitches per PA: 3.88 (Rank: 7)
Analysis: Chacin has been a below-average starter over the last two seasons, posting a 4.62 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 16.2%. He is an easy avoid tonight against the Dodgers, who are ranked third in team wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. Chacin is a large underdog on the road tonight for a reason.
Pitcher Rating: 49.2

Arizona Diamondbacks Offense (2015)
vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.319 (Rank: 10) — Strikeout Rate: 21.4% (Rank: 17)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.331 (Rank: 12) — Strikeout Rate: 23.4% (Rank: 25)
Pitches per PA: 3.72 (Rank: 28)
Analysis: Anderson is starting to recover his early season form, posting a 3.16 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 17.7% over the last month of play. He draws a mediocre matchup tonight against the Diamondbacks, but he deserves consideration at his price point. Not only is he pitching at home, but the Diamondbacks average the third-fewest pitches per plate appearance this season. If he pitches well, he should pitch deep into this one.
Pitcher Rating: 70.8

The Diamondbacks draw a difficult matchup tonight against Brett Anderson, who has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .315 wOBA over the last two seasons. Paul Goldschmidt and Welington Castillo are both tournament plays, but the rest of the lineup can be avoided.
