: He has been so much better after a somewhat rough start to the season and we are not only seeing the strikeout upside, but the runs have been cut down quite a bit as well. The main issue here is that his price point is too high on DraftKings in my opinion and we have other options on FanDuel. He will likely end up low owned, and with his potential I do not hate him as a tournament play.

Jacob deGrom: I was a little worried about deGrom there for a while, but he has righted the ship lately with an increased strikeout rate and limiting the opposition to a lower hard hit rate. He has about as good a matchup as you can ask for, and while getting into the win column has been tough, I would be a bit surprised if he does not exit with a lead here today.
Batter Grind Down
Atlanta
Braves: The Braves are likely to throw a bunch of lefties at deGrom here, but the thing is he has been really good against both left and right-handed batters with a wOBA allowed under .300 for both. I do not recommend too many Braves in your lineup, but a guy like always has potential versus right-handed pitching and should come at a lower ownership.

NY Mets
Mets: Left-handed bats have always been a bit of an issue for Teheran in his career and this Mets lineup is littered with them, which could prove tough. I expect New York to put some runs on the board, but with Teheran’s recent form we should not go too crazy here.

: Anderson looked great in his major league debut against the Padres, but it is hard to evaluate a guy facing a poor offense such as that. The strikeouts were there, as were the ground balls, making him a very intriguing pitcher to consider at his price point. Miami is not exactly a great offense, so I have no problem rolling him out there as a tournament play where you want to stack expensive bats.

Batter Grind Down

Rockies: The Rockies are stacked with players that hit right-handed pitching well and are also performing pretty good in recent weeks as well. I like the idea of them as a tournament stack here and you can sprinkle just about any of the to five hitters in your lineups as filler plays.

Marlins: Miami is not awful against left-handed pitching in terms of wOBA, but the lack of power shows in their ISO which ranks 24th in the league. We do not have a lot to love against Anderson here today, but is the guy I would not mind taking a shot on.

: While he has not given up hard contact this season, we have not seen him take his game to the next level with a strikeout rate slightly lower than last year. Rodon is a fringe option at best here, and one we most likely we want to stay away from even though the Indians have struggled a bit overall to hit lefties.

: Carrasco has been a little iffy since his return from the DL, but the strikeout upside is evident as he was able to tally eight in his last start. This is a White Sox offense that I have no problem attacking with pitching, and at this price Carrasco is in play for both cash and tournaments for me today.
Batter Grind Down
Chicago White Sox
White Sox: It has been the top of the order or bust for Chicago and against Carrasco I do not think that will cut it here today. Chicago ranks in the bottom third of the league in most offensive categories and this is a team I do not want a lot of exposure to.

Indians: They are a team that clearly has a ton of potential against right-handed pitching, but the ISO disappears against lefties with a couple of exceptions. is a player that should always peak your interest when a southpaw takes the mound and has been hitting the ball hard this season with pretty solid numbers versus left throughout his career.

: The Giants gave Peavy an extra day of rest here as he has been up and down for them. He offers limited strikeout potential and is a guy I still like to target as a blowup candidate, making him someone we can fade completely.

: For whatever reason Odorizzi just does not entice people to play him in daily fantasy despite pretty solid results and a modest price point. In a better matchup he would be a no-brainer secondary pitcher today, but against the Giants I have him on that fringe leaning toward tournaments only.

Giants: This is a lineup that can hit right-handed pitching, but for the most part lack the pop to do a ton of damage in a hurry. They are very similar to the Royals in that they can put up runs, but at the end of the day our fantasy production never seems to matchup with the run total. Even with that said, I cannot fault anyone for sprinkling in a couple guys today.

Rays: The Rays are the exact type of team you want to stack in tournaments as their ISO is near the top of the league even with a modest wOBA. What that means is they do have the ability to put runs up in bunches and often carry a lower ownership. Peavy is a guy I have and will continue to target, so loading up with Rays bats in a tournament makes a lot of sense today.
