will look to get back on track after being on the DL for a back issue over the last two weeks or so. Prior to his DL stint, Santana had a SIERA of 4.21 with a decent 20.5% strikeout rate. He now has to face the White Sox who do not have the most explosive offense in the league, but does have to face Sale who has been extremely stingy on the mound so far this year. Santana is not an option tonight in his return start.

Sale has been a force so far this season and huge reason why the White Sox are playing such confident baseball in the early part of the year. Sale comes into this game with a 3.48 SIERA (1.66 ERA) and a 23.5% strikeout rate. While the Ks have been slightly down from his career average of 28.2%, he is one of the easiest options going today that should be able to mow through this Twins squad that has the lowest team total of the day. Sale is the top option of the night slate and you could make the argument for top of the day due to Kershaw being in Toronto today.
Batter Grind Down
Minnesota
Sale has kept batters to a wOBA of under .217 from both sides of the plate this year and now is matched up with the Twins who have a projected team total of just 2.92 runs. Avoid the Twins bats today.

Hellickson has had an up and down start to the season. In six starts, he has allowed more than four earned runs in three of them and has allowed zero earned runs in two. He has been killed by the long ball (2.01 HR/9), but does come into this game with a SIERA of 3.66 and a decent K rate of 24.3%. He has a solid matchup against the Marlins who rank towards the bottom of the league against right-handed pitching, which does put him into value play status, but with a lot of risk attached.

Koehler is not someone we ever want to target in daily fantasy. He comes into this game fresh off an eight earned run drubbing against the Brewers and now has a 7.25 ERA (5.51 SIERA) to go along with his extremely low 13.8% strikeout rate. Avoid him in all formats even in a solid matchup against the Phillies.
Batter Grind Down
Philadelphia
Koehler is clearly attackable as evidenced by his starts this season, yet the Phillies are not a good offense and have the 9th lowest team total on the board today. Koehler has some tough splits as he has allowed a wOBA of +.376 to hitters from both sides of the plate this year. While their team total is not off the charts, there are some solid choices in this lineup today.

Karns has been an interesting fantasy starter as he has a 24.4% strikeout rate after his first five starts. He also has a decent 4.01 SIERA with a high walk rate of 10.9%. He is a high risk, high reward pitcher against a capable offense in Houston, making him a GPP play only.

Keuchel was another top target who burned a lot of people this week as he allowed five earned runs over just 4.1 innings pitched on Monday. Keuchel has really struggled with his command so far this year as he has a 11.2% walk rate and has seen his K% drop to 18.6%. Keuchel gets a decent matchup against the Mariners lefty heavy lineup and is a solid choice in the night slate.

Keuchel has allowed a wOBA of .370 against righties this year, so if you are going to attack any of the Mariners today, would be your guy. With that said, the Mariners have a middle of the road team total (3.99) and are not a top offense to attack tonight.

While Karns is GPP playable, it will be a tough play as he has to face a top seven ranked offense in terms of wOBA and ISO against right handed pitching and an offense with a projected team total of 4.51, which is the second highest of the day and highest of the night slate. Old man Colon has been pretty decent this year and had his best performance of the season in his last start. He comes into this start with a 3.26 SIERA and a solid 22.1% strikeout rate. He gets a great matchup against the Padres who are ranked 29th in the league in wOBA against right-handed pitching. He makes a great play today for a mid-priced pitcher.

After a slow start to the season, Shields has bounced back a bit as he has allowed only two earned runs in his last two starts combined. Base runners have been a major problem for Shields as he has allowed a walk rate of 9.4% and his strikeouts have been very down this year at just 16.4%. I would prefer Colon out of the two pitchers in this matchup, but Shields is in play as well.

San Diego
The Padres have the second lowest team total on the board today and it is always tough to make a ton of money while playing Padres in Petco. You can use some of their value at the top of the order, but they are not an offense on the radar tonight.

| 2015 | 28 | 3.90 | 21.4% | 6.6% | 37.3% | 27.0% | 10 |
Odorizzi takes the mound against the Angels who have struggled a bit against righties as they come into the game ranked 21st in team wOBA against right-handed pitching. Odorizzi comes into this game with a solid 3.78 SIERA as well as a 21.6% strikeout rate. While he is not my favorite pitcher on the slate, run support should be there for him and he is in play as an SP2 or GPP play.

Weaver has had the wheels fall off over the last few seasons and as he continues to get starts, we can continue to attack him. He comes into this game with a horrible 5.70 SIERA and a strikeout rate of just 11.1%. Avoid him in all formats.

LA Angels
The Angels have a team total of just 3.85 against Odorizzi today and are a tough offense to target against pitchers that are not stackable against. Trout is always in play regardless of the pitcher, but passed him, the Angels look like an avoidable team.
