Stewart is making the start today instead of Norris, who was previously listed. Stewart is coming off three straight decent appearances for the Dodgers and will be asked to pitch in a tough environment today against the Diamondbacks. He has been very inconsistent with his strikeouts and is a tough trust all around tonight.

Miller has really struggled over the course of this season. He comes into the game with a very high 6.91 ERA (5.11 SIERA) and a very low 15.3% strikeout rate. He has a tough matchup against the Dodgers today, who are ranked seventh in wOBA and eighth in ISO against righties. He is an easy fade tonight.
Batter Grind Down
LA Dodgers
Miller can be attacked from everywhere, as his wOBA allowed is at .345+ from both sides of the plate. Looking closer, lefties have mashed him this year, as they have a .416 wOBA against him, which bodes very well for the Dodgers offense that is full of solid lefty bats.

Gray has hit a bit of a rough patch lately, as he has allowed a lot more hits and runs than he had earlier in the season. He comes into this game with a 3.86 SIERA, which is almost a full run lower than his 4.69 ERA. His strikeout rate of 24.6% allows for some mistakes, and he gets a solid matchup against the Padres, who are the worst offense in the league in terms of team wOBA against righties. There is always risk with a Coors pitcher, but he is GPP playable.
Batter Grind Down
San Diego
Its tough to see the Padres as the second-best offense tonight, as there are a number of teams in good spots. If Gray can figure it back out again, he could pitch very well against a Padres team that he has had success against this year (24 innings, 33 strikeouts, 10 earned runs). They are clearly in play due to the park, but fading them is also an option.

While Leake has not been horrible this year with his 4.60 ERA (3.90 SIERA), he lacks the upside needed to play him in fantasy due to his low 16.7% strikeout rate. He does have a 3.90 SIERA on the year and could be used as an SP2 tonight against a decent Giants offense, but with more risk attached than I would like for the lack of upside.

The Shark gets the start today and has been pretty decent over the last month-and-a-half or so. In the last 30 days, he does have a low 2.90 ERA and solid 24% strikeout rate. He is in a tough spot tonight against a solid Cardinals offense, but Vegas believes he will pitch well as a small favorite in a game with a 7.5 run total. There are better options, but he is in play.

The Cards surprisingly have the fourth-lowest run total of the entire day at 3.60 runs. If you want to target anyone, go for the lefties, as the Shark has allowed a .331 wOBA to left handed bats on the year.

Leake has allowed a .321 wOBA to lefties and .326 wOBA to righties on the year. This game does appear to be one of the lower-scoring matchups of the night, making both offenses tough to target.

Liriano has not been terrible since switching over to the Blue Jays. In the last month of baseball, Liriano sports a solid 3.48 SIERA and elite 30.4% strikeout rate. The matchup today is average against the Angels, but they do have the lowest strikeout rate against lefties in the league at just 16.9%. With that said, he has upside and should be used as a tournament play tonight.

Nolasco is not someone to use in any format in daily fantasy regardless of the opponent, but especially when the team he is facing is a high-powered offense like the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays are ranked in the top 10 and this game is a virtual pick ‘em with a total of nine runs. Nolasco is an easy fade tonight.

Fiers was terrible last week against the Cubs, as he was lit up for seven earned runs in just two-and-one-third innings pitched. He has shown glimpses of strikeout potential at times this year even though he holds just a 17.5% strikeout rate. He is a bit too inconsistent to trust in a tough matchup against the Mariners, who are ranked sixth in wOBA and 10th in ISO against righties. He is too risky to trust in this spot.
